I prefer having roof mounted AC vents to having a sun roof. It is more useful in South conditions. For that matter most of the Indian conditions.

The main customers of this vehicle are politicians and people with power and influence. Ordinary citizens like us (wasting time) watching RUclips, commenting on the same and trying to evaluate it's worth are themselves hardly (mildly speaking) worthy to afford it... 😀....speaking of alternatives the sister Innova itself is a much better and a practical option than this for regular commute
I have a crysta 2.8zx and I will say it's not worth 31 lacs. Down on power with the 2.4zx i would spend money elsewhere.

@@veeraldogra5684 absolute crap interior plastics that have been used in Crysta and Fortuner. I have owned an Altis since 2009, all areas in the car are soft touch and haven't rattled or creaked once. Crysta creates a racket, also the pitch and bounce is too much in the car, on roads that have imperfections the car wobbles a lot on slow speeds, high speed stability is excellent, breaking is excellent, performance is spot on. Toyota shouldn't be charging 31 lacs for plastic quality that is equal to Swift or wagon r. I bought a polo as well, absolute excellent plastic quality inside the car, better than crysta. My Altis never had any electronic issues, crysta had an issue with it's auto folding OVRMS that were installed as an accessory from Toyota, they said the harness had a crack trough which moisture went in, 28 lac rupee car shouldn't have this. The front co driver seat makes a ticking sound this seat issue is very common due to the shite quality materials used in the seat cushion and assembly. I am not happy with the quality of plastics in the car, Toyota people have a bullishit reason for this, they say " sir altis sedan segment me hai, segment alag hai" I told them " segment alag hai lekin gaadi tumlog ka hi hai na".
But the thing is, it's not a luxury car and Toyota is not a luxury brand, they have Lexus to sell their premium model cars with more premium features. Toyota cars are supposed to be ordinary man's car. But since India is a poor country, here such cars are luxury
It will suitable if it's price is approx 35-40 lakhs for the top end, with some more added features 👍

TBH I didn't know that Fortuner was worth 45 lakhs (when I was about to buy it) but when I got to know about it's price, my jaw dropped!! So instead I bought a Tata Safari 2021 and I'm extremely happy and satisfied with my car. It's fulfilling all my needs of a 7 seater SUV with the best looks, great interior massive sun roof and more features (not as much as XUV700 of course) than the Fortuner and it also fulfills the demand for off road upto some extent which is enough for me. So, since Endeavour is gone, XUV700, Safari and Hector+ offer more features, premium interior and great looks at half the price and Kodiaq and Meridian fulfil all the needs of the Fortuner with a price 10-20 lakhs less, I would definitely say that the Fortuner is heavily over priced

I owned one , when the price was 34lc for 4x2 auto diesel . Driving and power on city as well as high is perfect. No nose dive to one side if you apply brakes at high speed( tested at 150+ ) , but but, the body panels, too soft even a slight push can dent the panels , front bumper is just plastic ( veey low quality) back bumper is though strong . Interior makes you think 2wice is this worth, ? Quality is great. Overall , not worth the price its offered now . Avg, city- 10.8 to 11 ( display console one) high way , 14,15( on cruising in a stable speed eco mode .
The hype of this car will live upto ♾ infinity in INDIA 🇮🇳

Well I think some people who don't go for off-road needs a bigger SUV with length and breadth similar to Fortuner for long road trips so there are only three choices- Fortuner, endeavour and gloster. But endeavour (it's discontinued) and gloster are available only in diesel but only Fortuner gives both diesel and petrol power train so for some petrol owners there is still a chance to buy Fortuner and this is the reason why sales of Fortuner are slight better than endeavour and gloster.
My cousin also have 2018 Fortuner petrol 2WD AT and still it gives amazing performance.
After seeing this car, I am ready to believe that if they sell Maruti spresso at 50L then also we will buy blindly. Definitely US has better car standards.

Here’s what I think. Now that some cities in India won’t even allow you to keep your vehicle for more than 10-15 years. Is it even worth spending this much money? In other countries, it’s worth spending more because they get to keep their vehicle with them for a very long time which they do. But here, it’s a different story.

@@priyanshuanubis The fortuner isn't a premium car. It is a car which is priced at a premium. Make no mistake, the cabin quality of the fortuner is far from what is expected from a 50L car. The fortuner is more utilitarian and built on a truck platform which screams reliability and extended usage.
Most of them who purchase a fortuner, do it for the status tag it comes along with it and hardly put the extra hardware it comes with to any use. Just some bragging rights.
The govt. is pushing us to buy Indian brands, on one end it's a good thing for the future,but for people who appreciate good engineering irrespective of the engineer have to suffer.

I have fotuner i purchased it in 40 lakhs in 2017 , but 50 lakhs is overpriced it should have that range of features like sunroof ventilated seats auto park auto hold electric power brake in this price range
None of the Toyota cars offered with Sunroof as they are concerned about safety standards & actually In India weather doesn't support requirement of Sunroof as here we have high heat wave & extreme cold & exteam rain.

For legender which is ex showroom of 40 lakh and on road around 50 lakhs our government take 18 lakhs rupees as tax on it and dealers commission is around 1 to 1.2 lakh per car. For company profit of 1 fortuner is around 50k to 60k max so we should not blame entirely on company as our system is still responsible for it.

New Endeavour/ Everest introduced in International markets. It is very sad Ford discontinued cars in India. Our tax system is the real reason we don't get good cars in India. In middle-east market this fortuner only costs around 20-25 lakh inr..

Because of the bulky road presence, fortuner is liked by people but it is more more overpriced. I likely to buy XUV 700 which is more futuristic & featuristic than fortuner.
But still the fortuner segment is way ahead than the xuv700

According to me Škoda kodiaq vw Tiguan allspace Jeep meridian even though they r SUV’s… still they cannot even come close to Fortuner and Endeavour…. And coming to MG gloster… it’s a good car… but Fortuner and Endeavour are just 🥰😍🥰❤️

Fortuner is costly because Toyota knows that Indian will pay anything to look like mafia on road. Toyota doesn't make the most reliable engine, it makes normal engines (even degraded performance engine when comparing to rivals) only thing that makes Toyota's engine reliable is their multilevel testing and feedback throughout the production of every single car. they basically catch all the faulty engine or faulty machine parts during the production. this process is very slow and very costly and Toyota can not handle this cost anymore since they are producing a lot less cars in particular period of time when comparing to rivals. but then Toyota knows that their every single car will run for 2lac miles without any issue so they have over priced all their (not so powerful) cars just to stay in business based on their image of reliability

Bro it doesn't even have a sunroof. Don't really know about front parking sensors but it definitely doesn't have adas, rain sensing vipers and 360 camera

Yes, I like the fortuner. It is a capable and reliable car. There is no competition for it (for now). There is no Endeavor, Safari or Alturas (the present safari isn'ta safari). But, the Scorpio N will definitely eat into Fortuner's sales figures. Mahindra engines are no less reliable than Toyota and I'm looking forward for the Scorpio N. It is time that Toyota realizes their folly and make amends to it, or else, Mahindra will rule this segment.

Guys most of the people don't get the point of a fortuner, it is meant for long distance travelling where there are no roads, no service stations, that's where u need a good 4x4 system and reliability, the fortuner can do all this in comfort n ease, 204hp to keep u smiling on the highway, but still no denying it's overpriced

Well my personal opinion on this SUV is that it has a muscular look which attracts customers to go for it, plus low competition in this price range.
But I am completely unsatisfied in terms of its interior and its features against its price range, as other car makers like Mahindra, Tata and Hyundai etc are giving so much amazing features which Fortuner does not have even at a whopping price of around 50 lakh.
I personally go for XUV 700...
Others in this segment you mentioned.. Kodiaq and Tiguan are not 4x4, they are AWD
Alturus g4 any-day , I know it wont sell like fortuner and it might get discontinued. but still its value for money and 10 lakhs cheaper. !! Motoroctane please do a comparison with 2022 version of fortuner and BS6 Alturus.
