As someone who has is chicken who can't walk because of calcium deficiency it really hurts seeing people comment about eating the rooster and how this is a waste of resources. Some people don't have chickens as food and they have them for pets. One thing that makes me sad is that my chicken really wanted to take care of baby's and eggs because she would always rest with her eggs and always put more effort than other chickens. When she first was unable to walk we had to feed her eggs (without babys) so she would have more calcium but she never wanted to. Even when we gave her cracked eggs and half of a shell she would do a little jump to lay beside them and even scream at us if we tried to take them away. This shows chickens have their own hopes and dreams amd sadly ours probably won't be able to do what she wants to.
People are just being edgy on purpose here. Now I get how the vegans must often feel, trying to do a positive thing and people shame them for it. Honestly I'm so happy and so proud that people like this lady exist, who look at that chicken and see a fellow divine being in their eyes, so they help them and try to give them a good life. I'm really happy to know that Roo is able to walk on his own again. :') And I'm sure the little child in those fried chicken edgelords is too, it's just the cynical adult who thinks this isn't worth it. The heart knows it is. :) Thank you for this lesson in humanity to all of you guys.
bro its good that the rooster is walking again but there is literally no point in paying tax dollars for this, the only thing they can do is deep fry that him
It's truly sad how much effort and energy goes into helping animals while people turn their backs on fellow humans that need help.. I got nothing against helping animals.. It's just that I've seen people on various videos, and sites say if they had to choose they would save a pet>another human.
JupiOnTheMoon That's a load of BS.. There's places with out running water.. There's people dyeing from war and need help, there's people with Cancer and terminal illness that has families going bankrupt because of high hospital bills.. Not everyone has the CHOICE to help themselves..

While inaccurately shooting them.. People shoot birds and hunt other animals in large numbers... A lot of the animals we don't even eat.. The slaughter houses are in poor and cruel conditions..We still have sports like bull riding.. Cats and dogs at the pound are getting put down each day..
here's a concept: animals can be helped too. If you care about humans why don't you help them? Why ignore one species because we have humans suffering?
