Thank you SO MUCH for your video! I found my hen paralyzed in the coop on Thanksgiving and was sure she was dying. Two days later, she was still alive and started eating again, but still not walking, and her toes had curled in. I saw your video and started giving her scrambled eggs every day, and the whole flock now gets Rooster Booster and B12 supplements. One month later, my baby Reba is walking again! Bless you!

Wow! I’m so grateful for your video. I had a 5 month old hen who came down with curly toe. One of her legs was totally useless and limp. Her toes were all curled in and paralyzed stiff. She couldn’t walk at all. She hopped on one foot. I fed her a scrambled egg every day with about a teaspoon of liquid B2 and Nutritional Yeast flakes. I Put Poultry Cell in her water. I Made her a thick cardboard shoe, wrapping bandaids around each toe. Now after only 10 days she is FULLY RECOVERED! It’s just a miracle. She walks with no limp whatsoever. Like nothing was ever wrong with her. I can’t thank you enough!

Wow miss thank you we had the same problem and didn't know what to do. First he started limping on one leg and we thought it was broken so we separated him from the other chickens and the other leg was also doing it he started pretty much doing the splits and his toes started curling up. We came across your video and saw a couple of other people with success doing what you did in the comments and we tried it out and wow it's amazing We became very close and grew very fond of this little shit because he was the only one that hatched that the hen was laying on. To see him limping like that broke our hearts. We're very blessed to come across your channel. My rooster's/chicken we're not quite sure what it is yet but we think it's a rooster what's about a month and a 1/2 when he started not being able to walk we've been doing what he told us to do we got all the ingredients that you got and been feeding him scrambled eggs and he's made a full recovery he's now a little over 2 months.Thank you very much. God Bless miss

This video was extremely helpful to one of my Bantam Roo’s. It’s been about a month since his first noticeable paralysis. His toes and legs were not moving and kept falling over. He then spent about 2 to 3 weeks on his side. His Crown was very dark and purple. Since this video being watched he has slowly regained his strength. He is now back upright while learning to walk again. His Crown has since regained color and he is trying to stand and walk more and more each day. His appetite never left. On top of everything the lice he had was extreme. That video was a life saver for the whole flock! Thank you so much for all the advice and keep doing what y’all are doing!!

Very helpful video. I was checking on my chickens last Friday and found my rooster face down on the ground. He's usually fiesty, but let me pick him up. He was shivering a little when I brought him in so I held him until he warmed up. I couldn't see anything wrong with him. He seemed fine the day before. He woildn't eat or drink. He's almost 2 years old. I've had him for about 18 months.
I gave him molasses and water and Gatorade and currently have him inside in a box. I noticed when I was feeding him that his feet are curled up. He straightened them up to stand, but when we stopped supporting him, he put his face on the ground.
He's improved a little in the past week. He holds his head just off the ground as you can see in the picture. He has some mucous hanging out of his beak. He will now eat scrambled eggs. He can stand but doesn't walk. I have a bowl of watered down Gatorade for him to drink. We have been giving him Rooster Booster Poultry Cell vitamin supplement for the last 2 days and put diatomaceous earth on his eggs.
He's my first chicken so I don't know a whole lot. Any advice? What could this be and what else can we try? Thanks.

You’re doing the right thing, hope your boy gets better soon ❤️ just keep at it and don’t give up. If you keep him eating and drinking he’ll stay alive to get better. Maybe he injured his leg and needs time to heal. Sometimes large roosters hurt themselves from flying and landing down from a high roost because of their heavy body. Either way vitamin B is great for his nerves and health. I would add vitamin E and selenium as well as that cures wry neck and can cause them to loose balance and fall forward. I would stop with the Diatomaceous Earth as it is a well spread myth that it controls internal parasites, once wet inside their system it looses all effectiveness and ability to kill bugs and parasites. I would replace with nutritional yeast (brewers yeast) has a lot of healing vitamins in it. Good luck with your boy, sorry you’re going through this ❤️

Update to my 1,5 month old comment: my chicken started getting up after 1 month and after 1,5 month she is walking around the yard and garden, getting better every day, slowly ready to return to her fellow mates. You saved my chicken's life - thank you very much!!! Note: I couldn't get the riboflavin for poultry, so I bought out of despair the human B-complex tablets and sirup ( also suitable for kids) at the pharmacy, adding regular poultry vitamins, with proper diet ( also eggs and probiotics) and it worked. Better than nothing :-)

This lady gave me two 2 month old chickens today, she won't even go to the chicken swap because she's so afraid of bringing something back and harming her flock of over 1000. I've been at her house, her set up is so beautiful and so clean. Last month one of her bantam hens couldn't walk, I guess she gave me her babies. They seem perfectly healthy EXCEPT they cannot stand just like the mom. We didn't notice this because they were in a brooder with other chickens their size and they look SO healthy outside of not being able to stand. She knew the mom had a vitamin deficiency, but it was too late. I am terrified it's mareks, but this lady is SO CAREFUL. I'm on the fence about culling these chickens as I already exposed one of my silkies to them and am afraid to expose my flock. This video has calmed my nerves and I can only hope and pray its just a vitamin B deficiency... just as their mother had, which would make sense it may have passed on through genetics if she laid a deficient egg that created them.
*edit to add* they are bantams, which I'm finding out they do have deficiencies like silkies can. We are new to chickens.

My chicken was a bit "slow" in last 2 weeks and 2 days ago I found her lying on the floor and she couldn't get up ( 1 hour earlier she was fine and eating), her legs were stiff and she had heavy breathing. I thought she was attacked or had a leg injury, a stroke ( it was really hot that day) but nothing visible was found. I put her into a box and took her home, about over two hours I fed her with siringe and electrolyte water. I thought first it was Mark, but she was better after 24 hours, even gave an egg. She got the B-komplex today in the morning, including vitamins for poultry. Just after 12 hours she started eating much more and started spreading her wings more, her legs are no longer stiff and started moving her fingers on her own. Btw.she had also a small bumblefoot,so I had to remove it ( not sure if everything got out, I did it for the first time). Thank you for your videos! Hope my girl will recover soon...

She eats and poops like a champ and if I get her standing upright she will stay upright for hours sometimes, but she's not showing any sign of improvement toward walking or even standing much on her own, and I have to make sure her food and water are right in front of her. I have been doing this for about a month and even set up a large board to give her a flat surface as that seems to help her stay upright more. Was I too late in treating her? Had the nerve damage gone too far already. What have others done to help their chickens learn to walk again?

I was just wondering how long it took for your rooster to start to show signs of the toes uncurling after being on this regimen of B vitamins? In your video, you briefly mentioned Marek’s disease but didn’t focus on it. What is the difference to rule out Mare’s disease vs. a vitamin B deficiency? Our chickens had a parasite so we were advised to treat them with Corrid water for several weeks. They all seemed fine once we stopped the treatment and switched them back to regular water…until one hen started to not act like herself. Her tail is up but she slowly started to be by herself and not as spunky. Then she started to have trouble standing where we thought she injured her leg and thought it would heal in a few days but it went from off balance to not being able to move and toes curled. We don’t have this problem with our other 4 hens. She is such a sweet bird that I don’t want it to be Marek’s.

We are very attached to all our babies as well. If you want to watch this video I’ll link below, it’s all the things we do for our flock to help them during the summer. We are in the desert and 100-115F is our normal unfortunately, I feel so bad for the animals out in it but we try to do the best we can

Just on time, I've just noticed that 2 of my elder chickens are limping and I watched the video and put her in a hospital cage. She seems fine but just can't stand on her leg and put petroleum jelly as it eases pain but her feet doesn't seem to carry any visible causes of strain. Now I will try vitamin b deficiency and will keep you informed. Thanks a lot guys!

Hope they get better soon! They should recover quickly being in a hospital area and not being bothered by the rest of the flock. The vitamin B either way will be good for them, I would try vitamin E as well, hopefully it was just an injury from jumping off a roost or something ❤️

About a month ago one of my 7, 3 month old chicks started becoming off-balance. It was weird because she was thriving and then suddenly, this all started. She would flail around as if she were dizzy every time she tried to walk. If she is just standing completely still, she can keep her balance but will quickly tire and lie down.
At first, it seemed she favored one leg (no visible injuries), then it seemed to be the both of them a few days later and up until today. There are no symptoms other than this. She doesn’t walk much and will often just lie around next to the food or water. We waited it out to see if she would heal up. She is still the same, no worse or better, a little less than a month later.
Then, less than a week ago, we started having similar problems with our australorp. However, it seems to be a little different? She’ll sit with her feet peeking out from underneath herself often (I’m not sure if that is related) and won’t particularly trip around as much but will sort of waddle/stomp around. She also shows no symptoms other than leg weakness.
Just yesterday, while checking on them, we noticed our sapphire gem was suddenly having similar problems. Her’s are a little different as well. They seem more along the lines of a vitamin-B2 deficiency, where she will lie slightly propped up on her legs with them being splayed out on the ground in front of her; toes occasionally curled. She, however, seems to still have the majority of control over her toes/feet. When she stands (toes are not curled, feet are splayed out), sometimes she will be alright for a moment until she will suddenly start tripping backward.
Essentially, 3 of our 7 birds are displaying leg problems in what seems to be slightly different ways. We now have all three of them separated from the rest. They are being kept inside of a large bin with food, water, and all of the supplements/tips you suggested (starting yesterday). Since the beginning & currently, they are all eating/drinking fine.
I’m also providing some extra supplements for our other chicks in hopes for prevention.
I was wondering if you have any idea or can identify what our problem is. I feel it may be some sort of contagious or related problem. I can’t believe it’s all just a coincidence. I’m hoping all of these extra vitamins and minerals will end up helping them.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this in advance.

I’m so sorry this is happening and the vitamin supplements could help, they most certainly won’t hurt. But since this does seem to be contagious I would definitely keep the affected birds quarantined away from the others. This does sound a lot like Marek’s disease and unfortunately if this is true, the birds may unfortunately not make it. I hope no one else starts to show symptoms. There is no cure for Marek’s virus and it starts attacking their nervous system and grows tumors and cancer in the body and that’s why birds showing symptoms usually succumb to it eventually. I really hope it’s not that and your poor babies get better. Raising animals and pets is very hard sometimes when you have bad days like this. Don’t let the bad days outweigh the good there are good times ahead. Again sorry for what’s going on just don’t give up but be prepared that the outcome may not be good for them

@@BockBockBouquet Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate your response. I still have them quarantined from the other chicks and currently no other chicken is having any problems/showing symptoms. I’m happy to say that they seem to be doing better and one (who wasn’t able to even stand without falling) not only stood but actually walked; albeit, carefully and slowly. I’m holding out hope that they’ll get better while trying to stay prepared for any losses. I appreciate your help and advice.

@@BockBockBouquet Hello! This is gonna be a pretty hasty comment, but I’m very excited and wanted to share an update in case anyone else came past this. I have been doing every single thing you suggested in your video. Rooster booster, poultry cell, nutritional yeast, eggs, etc. All of the chickens have shown DRASTIC improvement in such a short amount of time. Two of them seem to be completely back to normal! One still seems a little hard on her feet, but she’s the one who was basically crippled for about a month, so I think she just needs some time to adjust to being able to walk again. Thanks you SO much for creating and posting such a helpful video! Hope you have a wonderful day/night. :) ♥️
