I have one of the divided galvanized tins and I planted a small succulent or cactus in each section. Not too hard to bring in for the winter and set out in the summer.

I visited Goodwill today to pick a few leftover Christmas items at 50% off. There was a small christmas tree sitting atop one of the clotheing racks. I thought it was cute and grabbed it only to see that the price tag was $149.99!! There was nothing special about it and it wasn't some luxury brand. I took it to the register thinking that it was just a typo and was really $14.99. First the manager also thought it read $14.99 until I pointed out the price tag said $149.99. She was shocked but assured me that it was indeed the correct price. Really Goodwill?! It was my very last time I will shop at a Goodwill. When they are willing to lie to my face I walk away. It's not the only thrift store around. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. The greed is sickening!!
$4.00 for a mug in a second hand thrift shop where merchandise has been donated? That is outrageous. Where exactly can the poor and fixed income people go to find a mug for their coffee? Good grief! The world is awash in mugs and stuff. They need to keep it cheap and moving out off their shelves quickly. It's been fun to go thrifting in the past but the jacking up of prices has reduced the fun factor to a "you've got to be kidding!" reaction and the item goes right back on the shelf. I will try to stumble off my soapbox now.
