First of all, this is one of my most favorite buys guides that you do.// so here's my feedback. 1) The SMX2AC is junk IMO. The first 2 iterations have weak mesh and clarino that would fray up if you looked at it wrong.. yeah it looked good with the carbon knuckle but its worthless and virtually no palm protection. I haven't seen the new one.. maybe it's better. 2) The Rev'It Fly 2 is an amazing glove. Comfortable, great for hot weather and protective. Like you said, it's like the Icon Pursuit, but it's a much better glove. 3) The Dainese Tempest reminds me of my old Clutch EVO D-Dry gloves.. really good for cold weather but perhaps maybe more insulated than the tempest. I wish I had gotten the gauntlet versions.. when you get into colder weather gauntlet makes more sense for wind protection. and finally 4) The 4 Stroke EVO.. the golden chalice of the short glove adventure.. I got 4 years out of my original 4 strokes and even crashed in them, had EMTs cut them off and had them resewn... amazing gloves but the palms finally gave out. As you said.. .if you can swing the cost they are amazing... I'm still debating if I want to replace them with EVOs as my Reax Superflys have quietly and nicely moved into the riding rotating that was vacated. Am I still writing? Are you even still reading? :) thanks!
Booch literally said the previous version of the SMX wasn't good and this version has made the cut. The Zilla reviews say about the same for them and the newer reviews are in praise of the changes.
Right.. that's why I wrote " I haven't seen the new one.. maybe it's better. " but I honestly doubt it.. I look forward to hearing how this new version holds up after 1 full riding season..
dafobra I have the V2 and I love the fit the fabric still gets caught on the Velcro and a little peeling of the Alpinestars logo on the palm due to it being rubbed on my sticky throttle grip but other than some wear and the fuzziness caused by the Velcro that’s it for cosmetic problems the one thing I don’t like is the thin palm doesn’t help with vibration, the gloves look great but if you ride a lot these will last maybe 2-3 seasons
110 bux for those revit gloves?! Ooo rubber on the back of the hand. I have a 10 dollar pair of husky work gloves with the same kind of rubber on the back of the hand and probably a similar breathable material. Hell mechanix impact gloves have that and d3o in the palm for 1/3 the price and i refuse to believe that 4/64ths of an inch thicker leather makes those revits worth 3 times the cost.
Have a pair of Rev it fly 2 and I absolutely love them! Had a crash at 154km/h last year and they held perfectly, 5 stars, you would never say that by looking at them! And they feel great on the hands and are perfect for Portuguese summers ;)
I have the AlpineStar glove and I like it. I've been using it for a couple years. The fabric is beginning to 'fuzz off' and some detailing is beginning to peel off. But it was an affordable, entry-level warm weather glove.
Gary Horn I have it as well for this season and I’ve had those issues also but yes for the price it’s not bad but I’d like to see better quality from Alpinestars even on a summer glove
I have used Alpinestars SMX-2 years with 3 different generations and they all have issues with mesh and velcro. That velcro on wrist mess up the mesh on fingers so that life of the gloves is really short. Every time you wear and take off, you will mess your glove and of course you can't avoid touching it unless you use your mouth to un-velcro it.
You’re missing the Held SR-X. Kangaroo and perf for $150 is a bargain. Nothing holds up as well as Held kangaroo palms and goat backs. To be fair I’d like them more without the metal knuckle and something a bit softer but these are my third pair of Helds and they are all terrific and still in service.
I stopped buying from Revzilla and no longer watch their YT videos's (that are boring) since Anthony left! Miss one of the best original intro's ever :-(
@TriplePlay thats wierd, mine are still kickin butt after more than two years, as well as my jacket and riding pants. Sounds like you got stung by the fake gear. Scorpion gear kicks ass and will still be kicking ass by the time you reply lol. Enjoy the ride! Stay safe out there!
Anthony awesomeness in his prime, and this only looked like 5th gear! Great reviews and timely that I could use a new pair of gloves. Starting to warm up to the Revit Sand gloves Just got my first ADV bike and enjoying it. Lemmy and Spurgeon have been a bad influence on me.
I think the Alpine* SMX-1 Air V2 for $60 are worth a mention. I say they're the best quality gloves I've ever had at that price point. Better than Bilt and O'Neal which is what new riders are looking at.
Fortnine is better. More real subjective opinions rather than the "we dont want to piss off our supplier" talk. Usually its only once a glove is discontinued do you hear some actual critiques.
I like the previous versions looks but seeing as they've made this cut twice in best-glove...I don't think you could go wrong either way and could probably base it off looks for you.
The Monster/Canyon Gloves are still a fan (and Geek) favorite, though we do really like the sleeker design of the Fly 2 Gloves. As others mentioned, it's hard to go wrong with either. -DrewZilla
The SMX-2 Air v2 Gloves have a larger reinforcement panel on the palm and 4th finger, and there is more leather to protect the 4th finger and the rest of the back of the hand. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-smx-2-air-carbon-v2-gloves *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-smx-1-air-v2-gloves
What about the Alpinestars Corozal Drystar Waterproof Short instead of the Dianese Tempest D-Dry. The A-Stars are better for winter, has a Visor wiper, and pinky bridge.
The Sand 3 does on each of the thumb and index fingers, I've owned the gloves for a year and love them. However a hole has developed one of the finger tips.
Hay folks rev'it sand 3 gloves are not the best one. I'm using these gloves since March 2018 and they got torn from the middle of thumb and index finger. Don't know how and who will repair it
I agree. 110 bux for those revit gloves?! Ooo rubber on the back of the hand. I have a 10 dollar pair of husky work gloves with the same kind of rubber on the back of the hand and probably a similar breathable material. Hell mechanix impact gloves have that and d3o in the palm for 1/3 the price and i refuse to believe that maybe MAYBE 4/64ths of an inch thicker goatskin leather makes those revits worth 3 times the cost. I have scorpion klaw 2s with goatskin that probably gives better protection for half the price.
If you don't mind the extra bulk, the Celer v2 Gloves have slightly more protection. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-celer-v2-gloves
Ive got the alpinestars one. Please avoid it lmao. All alpinestars gloves have shit velcro that goes out very fast. Next up the rubber strap has already snapped off and ive only had it for 6 months. It’s definitely comfortable and saved me in a crash (palm down so left with a teeny hole on the palm of the glove) but the shitty velcro has been pissing me off after a few weeks if owning it cause it keeps coming undone.
@Because We Must I'm using these gloves since March 2018 and they got torn from the middle of thumb and index finger. Don't know how and who will repair it
Well first of all they're all made in China their mesh gloves with different types of plastic put on them a different colors and designs probably cost $10 to make if that ! The mark up on these gloves is just plain stupid
80 is really really cheap for a decebt pair of gloves. If you want cheap, get gloves off of wish. But if you want to be protected, you'll spend some cash
Or go to your local moto store and pick up a good pair off of the clearance rack. At Cycle Gear I've seen $80 pairs of gloves in my small size go for $25 in a basket of random clearance items. Always get your shit on sale. $300 helmet for $120. It's a lot easier for women because our sizes do not sell well, so it's easier to find them getting rid of old stock.
We really need an updated video like this of the new gloves from Revzilla.
Ahhh Anthony, Revzilla product reviews are lost without you.
This is a juggernaut, that is a juggernaut, everything's a juggernaut.
You're a juggernaut and I'm a juggernaut
Stud... change gears… price point... premium… we call it Revzilla Bingo!
Feel sorry for the folks playing the 'juggernaut' version of the Revzilla-Anthony drinking game.
Juggernaut Party!
I'm the juggernaut, bitch...!
This format is so much better than the by rider style guide

good to know Paul E thank you for the insight. You should really give the Fly2's a shot if you get the chance..

The Dainese 4-stroke is the best one in this lineup.
Lol not with that price
I have the AlpineStar glove and I like it. I've been using it for a couple years. The fabric is beginning to 'fuzz off' and some detailing is beginning to peel off. But it was an affordable, entry-level warm weather glove.

wbimota I’ve ran into that problem had to use a lighter to carefully get rid of the fuzzies
Scorpion SGS Gloves are excellent short cuff gloves.
I think the scorpion klaw 2 gloves give you better protection than some of these gloves for half the price. Scorpion makes good stuff.
Was literally just trying to get a pair of the fly 2 last week, and you guys were sold out in my size.
You’re missing the Held SR-X. Kangaroo and perf for $150 is a bargain. Nothing holds up as well as Held kangaroo palms and goat backs. I love it when my TPR comes baked in.
"Baked in" Exactly how the revit employees come in to work when they make up their prices.
lol
This guy sold so much I almost bought them all!
miss the videos from this guy
For the cash, my Scorpion SGS Shorty gloves kick ass! It has Knox sliders on the palm!

Happy Trails you will not be disappointed if you get the Revit Sand model. Absolutely love mine.
“Nobody has the cojones” hahahaha I’m your fan!!
I think the Alpine* SMX-1 Air V2 for $60 are worth a mention. I say they're the best quality gloves I've ever had at that price point. Better than Bilt and O'Neal which is what new riders are looking at.
FYI the Sand3 runs small, I'm an XL in most gloves , and it's a VERY snug in XL
The part of the glove that really gets worked over in a fall is usually the palm. Not enough attention paid to that area usually.
Hey are theses good for street fighting
Nice choices but all of them are a bit to pricey for me. Best reviewer on the web.
The second one was the only one remotely close to make me do the internal “is it really worth $100” debate in my head. The rest didn’t do much for me.
RevZilla is the best RUclips motorbike gear channel ever. 💪💪💪
Fortnine is better. More real subjective opinions rather than the "we dont want to piss off our supplier" talk. Usually its only once a glove is discontinued do you hear some actual critiques.
It's great if u mention touch screen compatibility too for these gloves
Pratap Bp the Alpinestars pair is touch screen compatible thumb and forefinger
All gloves mentioned have touch screen compatibility except the Dainese 4 Stroke EVO Gloves. -DrewZilla
Can you guys make a 2024 version of this ? =)
I have the Dainese but not a fan of the "Rossi Tickler". Prevents me from gripping the bars the way I like.
Love a short cuff!! Saves me taking my watch off. Great review guys!?
Also allows a bit of air to travel up the sleeve of your jacket on a hot day.
Hey Anthony, do you own any other shirts? Lol or did u do all these videos in one day and spread em out through your the year?
Amazing review as always. 🔥🔥
Which is better? The original RevIt Monster/current Canyon or the Fly?
I like the previous versions looks but seeing as they've made this cut twice in best-glove...I don't think you could go wrong either way and could probably base it off looks for you.

Knox handroid, Scorpion SGS !!!
Hey guys i just wanted to ask what Is the difference between the alpinestars smx-1 air v2 And the smx-2 air v2? Thanks
The SMX-2 Air v2 Gloves have a larger reinforcement panel on the palm and 4th finger, and there is more leather to protect the 4th finger and the rest of the back of the hand. -DrewZilla

@@RevZilla thanks alot for quick response
You're welcome!
Knox handroids are best full gauntlet and short cuff glove by far check them out revzilla sells them too!
What about the Alpinestars Corozal Drystar Waterproof Short instead of the Dianese Tempest D-Dry. The A-Stars are better for winter, has a Visor wiper, and pinky bridge.
X
This dude drinks a lot of coffee before he does his intros
I love this salesman techniques!
Everyone gangsta with this gloves until a wasp entered trough your sleeve gap
Where's the Scorpion EXO SGS MK2?????
The original was 200x better. V2 cheaped out
For $100 I stepped up to the the Alpinestars Air Carbon because it has more protection of the wrist.
WHAT happened to anthony?
Does any of those have a touch capability? (for your phone)
The A-stars do!
Most leather options should be touch capable.
except for, most aren't...
The Sand 3 does on each of the thumb and index fingers, I've owned the gloves for a year and love them. However a hole has developed one of the finger tips.
All gloves featured have touch capability except the Dainese 4 Stroke EVO Gloves. -DrewZilla
Alpinestars need to keep making the GPX, or upgrade it.
i was planning on getting the alpinestars celer leather gloves, any reason why they didn't make the cut?
They were on last year's list, maybe just no room this time.
They were also featured in this year's Best Sport Gear Guide. -DrewZilla

Yep, now up! -DrewZilla

Why isn't the alpinestars celer v2 included?
Not available in the US yet. Maybe they'll make it next time! -DrewZilla
I have the first glove he showed and the velcro strap thingy ripped at the end of its first season.. I do not recommend it
Hay folks rev'it sand 3 gloves are not the best one. I'm using these gloves since March 2018 and they got torn from the middle of thumb and index finger. Don't know how and who will repair it

gotta show the palm part too
what's the European name of the REVIT FLY 2 ?
There is no difference. They're called the Fly 2 Gloves in Europe as well. -DrewZilla
what would u say between that revit fly 2 vs the astar celer v2? thank you

this guy comes with the QVC/pyramid scheme energy
All the good stuff comes from a tiny country called The Netherlands... 😁 revit dirt 2 is much nicer than the sand 3 by the way...
Yeah revit probably comes up with prices right after visiting the coffee shops in amsterdam. Are they even made in the netherlands?
@@danszulc45 No....coffee is not made in Amsterdam... 🤣
