  • In this video I demonstrate the benefits of attaching a DWG or DXF vs Importing the files.
    I take a DWG directly from Civil3D and attach it to a Project in Leica Captivate for Construction Staking.

    Very good video. I appreciate the way you explain things as opposed to simply showing the app and/or commands. I would love to see one about bringing in an alignment & profile from C3D.
    Thank you.

      This video doesn't show an alignment, but it's the exact same procedure as the surface. Use an XML for surface and alignments.

    Thank you so much excellent video. I appreciate your work on the video.
    Could you make another video showing same way or easier way to do surveys and as built as well?

      Sorry, I mean just hold the stylus down on the map screen. That initiates the menus

    Thanks for the Video! I'm just trying to figure out how to get my files into the "Leica" Format. I got everything else working great, but was curious if it needed to be exported a certain way in order to get the file into the "Leica" format in the Reference Files tab?

    • @14rhatch
      @14rhatch  2 года назад

      There is no "Leica" format for reference files. Simply do a DXF, DWG, or IFC directly out of CAD.

      @@14rhatch In your video at 2:17 to 2:30 you can see the “Verification Sample 2015_dxf” shows the Format as Leica and there is a filter for Leica. I understand that these are still technically a DXF file, but just curious why it shows as “Leica” format rather than a DXF?

      You will need to contact your local Leica rep. If in TX or OK I can get it for you.

    Hi my drawing zooms out when i upload i dont no why maybe because i purge it and make it a block please helpppp. I have cs20 and ts16

    • @14rhatch
      @14rhatch  3 года назад +1

      Most likely. You cannot use blocks.
      Also check your job for points that shouldn't be there. Go to "view and edit data"

    How do we attache a DWG drawing if it’s been produced as a block.

    • @14rhatch
      @14rhatch  2 года назад

      You will need to explode it first

    •  5 месяцев назад

      I explode all the blocks, I think Captivate can´t read blocks
