Wish the U.S mint would take notes from the Royal Mint. The quality of art work, Packaging, and presentation are far superior at the Royal Mint. Beautiful Coins!! I've purchased more British coins Then U.S. coins this year for that reason.🇺🇲 Loves coins from over the pond!
The design in 5oz is just breath-taking and when you consider it still has the second part still to accompany it! The portrait is going to be something to get very excited about when it is sitting by the side of this one, and... and it is also part of the great engravers series making it such a special release, as a stand alone coin, as a 2 coin set and as an ongoing and very collectable series, there just wont be enough to go around. There are some amazing coins out there and then there is this
@@BackyardBullion Been keeping a close eye on ebay prices for the 5oz, seen a few sell for over £1k but one has just sold with 8 bids for £2500!!! starting bid was £1750
This is a great looking coin! I agree on the display box…these 5oz displays have never really worked as you see them pictured. I’m glad to know it’s not just me 🙂
Wow, the design is beautiful. I wanted to order one as well but I was too late... The Royal Mint did a great job on the design. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
Beautiful coin. I’d love to see a 2oz BU version. Getting into Royal Mint coins. Love the Queen’s Beast completer. Not a big numismatic collector, but love to keep the stack interesting. Congratulations!
A very merry Christmas and happy New Year 2022, Mr and Mrs BYB & family. Thanks for the tantalising gold to come soon. Will there be an IFF Christmas Eve? And stay safe y'all 🙏
Very Nice Backyard Bullion. Do the Royal mint do anything to make the purchasing fair? Seems like they sell out before people get a chance to order. Thank you.
Well, it is as fair as it can be, they offer a ticket system on the day. That said they also offer out coins to VIP's so that is both good and not so good.
You are most likely right on this post old friend. A really sweet round eh. Premiums are a tad high (way too high) but I may have a peek later on my friend. We can both pick up a lot of 9999 shot foe the price of this beauty. It really is a beauty for sure. All the best to you and yours seeing the last of a tough 21 eh . It really has been a tough one to navigate. Waiting for what you have coming to us next will be a labor of love. Take care eh !
Sure looks a nice design and presentation overall. For me I'm not keen on the speculation aspect of the future price, whilst there is for bullion also I feel like it's less so. Fantastic design though like I say, have a great Xmas BYB
Nice one BYB, I intentionally skipped this series, as a sacrifice for something better. 😂🤣🤣😅 I mean, I have other projects planned, so I had to give way to this one. I chose my battles carefully. 😊😉
the coins look beautiful, but i dont get it ...the spot price of silver today is 612 pounds...per kg...which is 32.15 oz. is it not better to invest in actual spot price bullion...rather than paying grands for 2 to 5 ounces?
Great vid! Much prefer the Alderney issue with its far closer reproduction of the original, and the huge bonus of a special Gothic Elisabeth obverse by Jody Clark (this version of the Queen on it just looks so wrong to me now). But the quality of the strike on these looks absolutely fantastic and it is of course the RM issue :)
@@BackyardBullion Surprised to hear that bud, but as you say each to their own :) I think it's a real winner, even ignoring the obverse it's the correct weight and silver purity, and has the 'proper' year on the reverse, not 2021. I definitely think it's worth looking at and possibly a mistake to get the others and not this one at £460 the pair (lovely dual presentation too!) but as long as folk are aware of it they can make up their own minds so hopefully I've helped :) Good wishes for Xmas and the new year!
That is a very different coin, this has proven sales at 3-4 times over issue price. Also, the Tudor beast will come good later in the series, it's still so very early for the Tudor beasts.
I actually just scooped up a 1oz version for 100usd. I have a starter stack going but I couldn’t pass up the deal. Beautiful coin!
Hello from Japan I am a new subscriber. Awesome video and coins

The design is a timeless classic for sure and I am very happy with it. I will be even more happy when I get the companion piece next year!

Need more designs like this in circulation coinages.
I agree, they don't make them like this any more!

I'm not sure they will do a Bullion version of this, they haven't with the other engravers coins.
Hello BYB~~ That is very pretty Gothic Crown!!! Both of them!

Absolutely fantastic looking coins, again i was late to the party and missed out on buying any of these coins, gutted but that how it goes.
Sorry you missed out, they are stunning!
My continuity 5oz Arms is coming next year…cannot wait !

When did the 5 oz go on sale?
Because the base pops out can u close the lid on it at an angle for display purposes?

Good stuff buddy, thanks for sharing!
Prices are already going ballistic - local coin dealer is offering the 5 oz version for over 2500 euro.
ist the coin already out ? Or will it be for sell on 28 January
Creating one with the specs of the original would be better .These 2+ ounce coins tend to look more like medals
It seems like a lot of money for 5 oz of silver!
I think you had a coingasm.
I did a little bit didn't I!

Maybe it's a pity that one of the English roses was not sacrificed, to include a Welsh element. Otherwise a truly brilliant coin.

Lean the coin into the lid. It should then hold the coin up for a proper view.
Never got close to the 5oz
£700 for 2oz silver??!!!
Yes indeed, they have been going for about that already
@Backyard Bullion Who said silver wouldn't go above $100 an oz ? 😂😂 Haha
Same hype for the tudor beast but now the 5oz is selling for less than cost, lol

@@BackyardBullion Hello 👋🏼
Did you ever see a 10oz in front of you? Someone is offering me one for £800 and I'm very tempted.
Wast of money, at best it's a £500 coin
Beautiful!
Yes indeed!
