P.S. I am boycotting Mountain Dew until they recognize your channel for what it’s doing for them and come on board as a sponsor or even recognizing all your channel is doing for their sales.
Heard awhile back. I am pretty sure the dew is sponsoring him now just fyi. 👍😉
So glad to see Blueprint Engines working with Cleetus. They've always impressed me MotorTrend's shows when they've used them.
@1000% the hood is getting cut”
“Let’s take off the hood bracket, we don’t need this where we’re going” 😂
Steven Lee he’s gonna use pins
Blower will be too tall to open off of hinges
Murica!!!!
As soon as I cracked open a cold can of Dew Brew, you uploaded!
What a time
To check your LSA you calculate it by adding the intake and exhaust Lobe Centerline figures together and dividing their sum by two (Ex: 112 intake Centerline + 116 exhaust Centerline = 228 / 2 = 114-degree ---- Do it for Dale.A forged piston does not expand 10 times more than a dimensionally-identical cast piston at similar temperatures.
Pallet of 1000lbs mtn dew in background 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
468 should help the pond tracker
I wonder how cleeter will react seeing one of Sonny's Racing 1005cu big blocks
The freedom might kill him
Just wait till you pull the 12 valve cummins out, that jacks gonna be screamin then lol
I think that jack on its heaviest setting wont be able to lift that half a ton of engine.
I'm a simple man, i see big block - i press the like button.
Run a procharger into a Y. Then run the y to the turbos and tho other into the supercharger. Also run the turbos charger pipe in the supercharger. Then a 500 shot of nitrous and you should be upwards of a bout 293 psi
Cooper "look how wide the frame rails are"
Cleetus replies "them are birthing hips wear Big Blocks are born brother"
Cleetus:" I swear were keeping the hood!"
Not even a min later at 9:35 when james is taking the hood off
"Dont need these where we're goin"
Lmao
Zach T it’ll be lift off hood not on hinges.
Welcome to the club of 10 million other guys who have been running big blocks since the early seventy's. How unique!
Put the old engine in the crustang!!?
It was legit just 5 minuets ago I wanted a cletus video and I have it!!!
Quick wish for another one!
Quick wish for another one
"I'll Sawzall a hole in the hood if I have to!"
Yup, been there. Went for inspection with no hood when I was 17, wasn't even allowed in the lane going to the building.
Came back an hour later with an oxy torched hole in a hood with my air filter and carb sticking up and out.
The people at the inspection station hated it but couldn't legally fail it.
"We're just removing the hood to swap engines."
Removes the hood and then the hood hinges.
I don't know about that hood ever going back on.
Nicholas Rodrigues there’s a corner of the shop reserved for hoods.... once they go there there’s no coming back
The hood went to the black hole. Never to be seen again!
@@PetesGarageandperformance it is actually called the shadow realm. Careful, you may go there next. Dont mock the shadow realm.

I wonder if the stock motor mounts will work with such a large supercharger?
Pssst from someone who enjoys the channel, put the old motor in the swamp bogger
yeah that would be awesome
Or the race car mustang
hell yeah
Hi guys, as an Australian. Can I recommend you make an exhaust that points at your rear tyres. It blows all the smoke out from under the car into the sky for a good show. It's what alot of these burnout guys over here do.
That's 10.35 liters for anyone wondering
Jesus Christ
Lol I was
Thanks!
10.3 liter v8 :P
Pistons the size of paint tins
Your boy Alex Bowman struck again last night at Bristol. During his intro he said “we’re doin it for Dale!”
That was really cool of Blueprint Engines for letting you borrow that big block.
Would have been nice to it sitting next to an LS for comparison. Can't wait to see toast rip!!!
Lesson learned, do not attempt ironing your shirts for work while watching these boys unbox an engine
Supercharged 632 Big Block, my dream!
Fantastic guys, keep rockin, can't wait to hear and see this thing running :D
Loved alex bowmans driver intro speech at Bristol. Doing it for dale!
Hell Yeah that's Awesome a Blue Print 632ci big block very Nice 👍👍 Can't wait ta hear it run congratz Keep Doin It For Dale Brothers!!! 🤜🤛😎
I've been looking at this motor on Blueprint for a while and their doing a build with it which is sick, when they said, "632", my jaw dropped!
I was expecting it
14-15psi(~double atmospheric pressure) should result in roughly 1500HP at the crank(depending on the parasitic losses), given that NA power output level - gnarly for a crate engine!
You gunna need every cubic inch possible to compete with the boys out here Cleet
As an Amarica, I will say that is true. Over the years I have been involved with cars and trucks, I have found that our brothers from down under don't play around when it comes to making horsepower. I can also say that y'all have perfected the art of the burnout. A lot of people would say you are crazy. I say..." Well yeah, that's kinda the point". What would you expect if you drove on the wrong side of the road, and 99% of the wildlife can kill you in seconds
@jake They can just dry sump it and run on propane and it'll be fine.
Cubic Inches don't matter as much as you think, This years Burnout Masters champion was in a 302 cubic inch Windsor Powered Mustang....
Yeah true ZedTee, sicko took out the prize, but these boys gunna need every little bit of help they can get
I haven’t been to Summernats for about 10 or more years, but I am definitely going now! Just to see this “little girl” show us how the smallest of the eagles can fly!!!!
10liters @ 10k rpm with an 871
The Golden Rule!
Why not a 1071? Triple 10
@@ClumsyCars I don't think even a properly blueprinted and balanced big block can handle that kind of RPM
@@thecloneguyz yea a big block Chevy can turn 10k it comes down to the quality of parts and machining. I have personally worked on a nitrous 540 in a grudge car that turned 9000rpm goin through the traps in the 1/8
@@woodgrain18
A 1071 would probably put you at about 12000 rpm
An 871 puts you right about 10,000
@@thecloneguyz that's not how blowers work. 8-71 measures displacement for the diesels it was designed for. 8 cylinders at 71cubic inches each. So 8x71 is the blowers intended displacement. 10x71 would be more blower displacement.
That's a 10.3 litre motor for those of us who use normal units.
Hmm so thats like 78hp per litre. Well it doesn't matter, because v8 rumble :O
@@LolzMan7756 Thats for a Naturally Aspirated motor. Id say it makes an absolute shit ton of torque.
Plus adding boost will really wake up that motor. Easy 2k horse.
Wtf !?! 10 liter displacement?!

We declare war on people that use the metric system
@@johncholmes643 You declare war with the rest of the world? That might not end well
I was going to suggest that the old big block be used in the Cleetus science lab to test out some different carbies, a bolt on throttle body EFI kit and even a port injection EFI kit.
Y'all are shovin' a God damn semi truck heart in Toast!
Semi trucks engines are 14L and up
Theotis Taylor They’re typically 11L, 13L, or 15L in some cases. 14L is a strange one, at least Stateside.
Source: I was a Mack Truck service tech. Worked on some of everything but a White.
@@Cjbarker2 I have to ask... did you have an Detroit Diesels come by your shop?
vtr0104 Occasionally, but not often. Mostly in Freightliners, but I see where you’re going.
@@Cjbarker2 Thank you kindly for replying, I have a soft-spot for those engines and I don't exactly get chances to ask folks who've actually done that sort of work on them.
I know everyone cusses at them for leaking oil and not being... environmentally friendly, but I've also read a lot of driver's comments on truck videos saying how fun they were to drive and how reliable they were.
Cleetus I don’t know if you plan on it but the roof of the car should have a giant bald eagle on it wearing a double Mountain Dew #3 Dale hat!!!
To be honest that’s probably the quickest cheapest way to get that big block down here to Australia just raise it to full height on the engine hoist and drop it and she will come screaming through your floor and end up down here we will take care of here till the Mero arrives haha
Thank you blue print you will definitely have all of my business now
Not only are they running a 10.3L block, theyre gonna have a massive blower, im expecting 14L in total, i hope im not disappointed 😂
Bobby N. Underrated comment.
Those valve covers are associated with Bill Mitchell's Merlin 632 rated at 800 hp. I'm guessing they were installed aftermarket since the engine only made just over 300 hp. Just as an Add valve covers like these can be found on Ebay for $250.00.
Put the valve covers from the old motor on the new motor and put a big blueprint engine sticker on your back window.
I remember when Cleetus use to race Leroy all the time. The good ole days!
Same
Yea i miss it
Blueprint is a great company. They make great motors and are super easy to work with!
632Ci / 10.3 Liters - holy shiiaat. Our tractor doesn't even have an engine that big...
Is it a coincident that that's first motor had 632 on the valve covers and the new motor is 632ci ?
I think not!
Pullin' a fast one, huh? lol.
I was thinking that as well, i remember the Hardcore 632 motors you could get back in the day, and they weren't slouches.
639 on the covers
@Angel Valdez me and my low quality video. They should use those covers
Was wondering if anyone else noticed
That's what I love about this channel, always diving head first into some awesome project!
I thought 'Mullet' was gonna be my favorite BUT BIG BLOCK!!
