This has to be one of the most awesome Disneyland videos ever. And to see that Fantasmic was much more intense, coherent than the new version. The original wins by far . Even the projections look better. The new one being so updated had too much light and fountains going on that you can barely distinguish what’s going on the water screens. Thanks for sharing this amazing piece of history!!
Thanks for this. Notice how everyone is not MORBIDLY Obese in the Park?? Did anyone notice how there were NO "Weird" Clouds in the Sky and that the Sun was STILL Yellow/Orange, unlike how it's mostly SILVER now. Thank You Again for uploading this video of your time at the Park. I subbed and rang the bell. :~) P.S. I used 4K Downloader to download this video to my Personal Disney Video Folder.
thanks for this wonderful look back at one of my favorite eras of disneyland. in 1992 i had been an annual pass holder for about 5 years and went to the park constantly with my best friend jim (rip). when ever i see old videos like this i half expect to see us in some of the crowd scenes. the late 80s to mid 90s were a great time at the park. so much is gone now,and the park is always so packed. i'm glad i have memories of those good old days to remember. seeing the original fantasmic was a treat. if you come across anymore vintage videos of disneyland please share them. i know a lot of people post videos of the park today, but they're nothing compared to stuff like this!
I have many more Disneyland tapes that I will post once I digitize them. I was a Disneyland annual pass holder from 1990 to 1993 when I lived 5 miles away from Disneyland. I agree it is nothing like it was in the 80's and 90's. I am sure we crossed paths as I would go to Disneyland after work 3 or 4 times a week just to catch a show and grab a burger.
@@stevestrippin great to hear! i was an AP from '87 until the pandemic shutdown. i haven't been back since because i detest the reservation system. i'll give them one more year to get rid of it,then i guess i'll have to give in. i miss that place so much! seeing videos like yours keeps me going. thanks again.
