I like the bead blast. Congratulations on that documentary 👍🏻 I can’t wait to watch it. I got my black hat from ridge runner. I love that knife.🙂 I use it all the time for everything
William, I think that handle on the WCFK deserves beadblasted stainless steel solid pins. They would compliment the blade perfectly. Also, a military grey sheath would be a much better choice for the sheath than hum drum black IMO..... although sheath material input was not requested I just thought I'd throw that out there. Great looking design!
Things are looking up again. Model C is the way to go - beadblast is better than black silly coat, and the big handle is good. Hollow pins are crummy and collect lint, gore, and raccoons, so please go with solid brass pins (stainless steel pins is harder to grind $$, eat into hands after handle wear, and do no more practical good than solid brass). Oh, can you make that black handle blacker (maybe dump some silly coat on it ;-). I can use this in the field (desert) for just about anything and for back-up in an urban setting - tactical/bushcraft or tactical/fieldcraft is a good description. You almost lost your way but are now back on track - thank you William.
Awwww hell. My WCSK already makes walk and feel like the feller in the Dollar Store & Walmarks! You know with the gun on his hip, in the Nylon Holster, with his belt 2 notches too loose! 😂 I'm gonna like this in too i Garontee
I like this one! I think it is better than the WCSK with the smaller scandi in the back, the tooth, and thinned out towards the tip. For the way I use a knife I thought the grinds on the SK were backwards, but this is perfect! Definitely a big step up IMHO. Also just stick with the bead blast. It does reduce the shine, costs less, and AEB-L doesn't need a protective coating. But that's just me, I never have liked blade coatings.
I'll be on on the lookout for this one. Really cool! I'd say definitely bead blast or stonewash on the blade. I'm not a fan of hollow pins, no need, and gunk gets in there. Off to a nice start to 2025!
Hey William! I just wanted to ask, when you say it’ll be released within days, does that mean it’ll be available for immediate purchase and shipping from Ridge Runner Blades? Or will it be released for preorder and then shipped with the typical 1st run timeline ? Thank you!!
@@christopherlarson7579 LOL, tried to explain in the video but these will be the usual 30 day window for preorder first runs on the Ridgerunner website. There will be the standard 50% deposit option as usual and start shipping about four months after the first runs are closed. Hope this helps.
@ ok perfect, thank you again! I wouldn’t be surprised if this design gets requested for permanent production because it seems to cover every aspect of what people look for in knives whether it’s bushcraft, hunting, kitchen prep, military, bug out bag, and everyday use scenarios. I’d prefer the bead blasted one with solid pins. Is this the first WC knife ever being offered with cerakote?
My 2 cents id go with Bead Blast I'm personally not a fan of coated blades but understand their purpose. I like the solid pens better also. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the update Will.
Hollow pins in my view. You should be able to easily turn it into a dispatching tool at the end of a stick. Alternatively if you can increase the lanyard hole at the end to allow for paracord to be easily added you wouldn’t need the hollow pins imo.
@@anakratzas the lanyard can be replaced from the leather to a paracord after you receive it as it is designed. We do not install lanyards till after the knives are completely finished.
Maybe leave the Seer coat and hollow pens an option you never know one may need to enforce the 6-foot social distancing rule for the next pandemic that comes along hahaha stabby stabby😂😂

Very nice looking design. I agree bead blast and standard (thicker) scales is the way. Solid brass pins would be my choice.

Bead blast with solid stainless pins.
Hollow pins suck all they do is hold guts and blood in them. Handle choice I’m open to either thicknesses.
Nice job, William, like that bead blast
Yea bead blast looks cool and that piercing pry bad could be a handy addition to many of your knives!!!
Big fan of the hollow pins on this particular style. I think it goes well with the jimping, just one man’s opinion.
Awesome design My vote with Black pins
I am still rocking the fin and fur you made for me back in the day after I saw a sarge video.
@@RT_ok good to hear it’s working hard for you. Thanks!
I'm glad you going with solid pins William 👍🔪🔪🔪🗡️⚔️

@@christopherlarson7579 thanks, will see how the Cerakote finishes up, but maybe is the best I can say right now.
Bead Blast. Most Cerakoting on a blade does affect the slicing ability on a blade. The bead blast also looks more appealing.

Solid pins please
