Thanks for the update Mr. Collins. I appreciate how much R&D you do with your knives. It says a lot when you send them out to people with real expertise for testing before they ever hit the market. You are a true craftsman and not the all too common salesman. 🙏🙏🙏

Cerekote was put on knives for high carbon steel, because of laziness… Yes it looks cool, but really not necessary for stainless steel. Before long your standard knife will be 500.00.. I personally don’t care for cerekote unless it’s on a gun to take the shine off and to build a paint job from a the base coat. Looking forward to see this bead blast handles.. The fieldlore is an outstanding knife… It’s right up there with the ABT.. for me…..

@wcknives because all of my knives from you are solid pins. In my opinion solid pins aesthetically look better, but everyone is different in what they like. Just a suggestion, perhaps let your subscribers vote on hollow or solid pins. It's just a thought.

Hello good sir, hope you are doing better I have a question about your video about rain proofing that tarp did how much linseed oil and mineral spirits did you use to do the job
This was a long time ago but there was a series so I probably discussed this in one of the videos . I think it was the follow up video. If I can find it I will attach a link here.

Cerakote? Man, I was excited about this knife - even called Jason about it a couple times. Cerakote? I just lost my enthusiasm. Coating on a stainless-steel knife is an answer to a question that wasn't asked. It's cute, it's gimmicky, but practically useless. I don't even like coating on carbon steel blades, but it at least it serves some purpose there. The WCFK is a great concept and will make a great field knife and urban self-defense knife. And if it had some cheap coating, it could be removed. But Cerakote is a great coating and hard to remove. I'll have to move on - shucks.
@@BillKermit appreciate you sharing your thoughts. The knife is designed as a grunt / military / LE field knife as stated in several videos. The coating is to reduce the flash of the stainless steel In night uses. I know we to often buy with our eyes and 99% of those knives end up in a drawer and never used again. I try to design knives for versatility and use. The looks is always an after thought. The WCSK is a great example of this design for use and not looks. This knife isn’t for everyone as with all my designs but for some is will be a very useful addition for their kit. Thanks again for the view and comment.
@@wcknives Your reasoning is fairly sound for the use of Cerakote. However, I think just sandblasting it will keep it from shinning when it's not supposed to. Sandblasting doesn't, however, give it the "pop" that often sells knives (I hate the term "pop" even when appropriately used), and it won't show superficial wear that so many want these days - like stone washed jeans. It looks like it's been battle worn, when it's only been extracted from the Kydex sheath a few times - oh, well. I'm following this project because this knife's design is sound and useful, despite my prejudice against CeraKote on stainless steel. The WCFK reminds me of a modern industrial version of the Scottish Sgian - Dubh, with its few flaws corrected and improvement made. I own a slew of your knives and wish you the best on this one. Happy New Year!

Cerakote WCSK looks nice. I have two knives with cerakote and I love the contrast between cerakote and steel. Microtech Socom Elite and a Hogue Deka.
We all have!
