5 ***** STARS Complete instructions for installing posts and hooks! I looked at a dozen silly videos and this one covers the basics from digging the post holes, attaching the eye bolts to using the tension strap to hang the sail. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!
this is the nicest outcome of any of the installations on here. Ive never seen those square columns - what are the called or where are they from? Hopefully somewhere in North America. They look pretty nice and they don't look like prefab sail poles.
Great video and instructions. What is the width of your square galvanised poles? 100 mm or 200 mm? I would like to put up 7x7x7 - Can I use the same width poles you have used?
Soooo... you say to ensure the eye bolt is horizontal to have the turnbuckle hook "always pointing down" as said a few times in your video. Hence, on the last point, as you also used a snap hook, this turnbuckle hook was no longer pointing down, it was pointing sideways. Why give this important advice and not follow it yourself?> You also said to mark our fixing locations, "allowing for stretch".... Wouldn't it be a good idea to tell us how much it is expected to stretch?

how thich is the square tube?
Very helpful
Is the shade waterproof?
That's all the deeper you need to go for all that tension?.. I would recommend a bit deeper. Or your poles will pull onward when tightening.
Put up a shade, but produces no shade at all.
Do you put the seam up or down? The part with the name tag up or down?
From an aesthetic point of view, install with seams and name tag up so it wouldn't be as noticeable from below.
Labels up so the sun knows where to buy its shades
very poorly organised, whrer is the fall?Size of the poles according to this size etc
Install a shade sail ‘enjoy the sun’ 😐
Maybe have someone who's in shape make the video, this guys sounds like he's dying.
Also, he purposefully did not show how he has fixed the hooked on the house frame. WHY?
