We think they should bring back 1950s spectacle designs!
oh - they need to bring some of these styles back!
Whaaaat? Those side details were awesome. We need more of that.
the quality of this footage is incredible!
Some of these designs are more creative/artistic than what is offered today! It would be awesome to find some vintage frames at an antique store, or goodwill; have the old lenses popped out and have your new script put in. Adorable! Or am I just being weirdly over zealous?
I hit the jackpot when an old large optical store closed and put everything in the hallway. This was in the late 70s. It took years to go through those new empty frames and sunglasses. Buy em if you can find them! I found some real gold wire frames at a yard sale. Happy hunting!
You can get them online if you look around
i would kill for those vintage frames today
was just thinking that!!!!
The oyster pearl frames are fabulous.
oh my goodness I need all these frames!😍😍😍
They've brought back all of the other 50s, 60s, and 70s glasses... why couldn't they bring back these?!
All of these are so beautiful
At 1:37, I thought that was Anne Hathaway. But then I remembered the time period of this video.
oh-so-vintage style! I love all of them!
There is so much detail, they are so beautiful... I wish I could ones like them anywhere
I love those wing frames. I have pictures of my Grandmother wearing them back then.
You guys are crazy. These designs are crazy.
I love these sunglasses
omg that last red one!!! I need thatttt
This makes me want to have classes even I don't need them!
Wow such beautiful women, and the glasses I just adore them
What they forgot to mention was quite a few of those frames were made out of genuine tortoise shell. I particularly liked the frames at *0:42 and the last pair. Thank goodness they can replicate tortoise shell now! So, they don’t have to rip the shells off of those poor little turtles anymore!
Wow, those are fabulous!
I love all the videos you post!
Want all the glasses in this video, such cool designs. Hard to find styles like that, even online.
I love vintage eyewear, especially cat's ryr style.
I have two pairs of cat eye glasses one is silver the other grayish the grayish pair are shades when I outside
I would love to have many of those glasses, so gorgeous
My glasses are so boring compared to these ones D:
Fantastic find!
Love it!!!
They remind me of the glasses Marilyn Monroe was wearing in the movie How to Marry a Millionaire.
Cute glasses
All these women have beautiful faces. No blemishes, no scars, no acne. Nothing! Do they all have nice skin back in the old days?
No.
Why is everyone always saying this stuff on these videos they are models
Cool Video!
Love it
Beautiful. I need these.
I was your 100th like! wow! These are awesome! They look great on women!
1.23 love those glasses!
wow fab!
Loving the retro vintage sunglasses! ❤👓😊
*-----* Beautiful!!
this is a great video, what fashionable specs, thanks
I LOVE 1950's glasses, somehow they are always too narrow for my large head!x
Donde puedo conseguir eso tan hermosos anteojos??!!!! BellisimosS
its awesome how they make footage from the 50s look so HD
I use vintage reproductions for reading glasses...but these were AMAZING with the little extra accents. Especially the mother of pearl!!!! 😍 I wish you could find THESE reproductions. Probably not vintage because they were probably make of Bakelite, and early form of plastic that didn’t hold up to well. Shame.
Elton John would kill to own all of those.
Elton John probs have those glasses
These are GORGEOUS. Now where the hell can I buy these glasses?!!
At 1:17 that is SUCH a smize!
I love the science of vintage glamour (:
1:17 oh my! She's beautiful!!!
I JUST LOVE 💗 THEM 💗👓💗.
Those women were so perfect and beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
beutyful:)
they are really cool glasses :D
0:46 Noooo, the blue looked better!
Rebecca Salter I know right...I said the same thing! lol
Flawless.. :)
I want them !!!!
..♥ it!
i love how everything was seen as a fashion accessory
i was gonna post that!!! xD
For all the people commenting on how beautiful these women are, can I just say they are not average, ordinary women off the street being fitted for glasses. They are what are called 'models'. A model is a physically attractive person (male or female), who is paid by an individual or company, to wear or demonstrate the product that individual or company is trying to market and sell.
So, no, not every woman in that era looked like these women. These women are called 'professional models'.
I hope that that clears things up.
Wow, all that shallow depth of field! For a moment I thought it was shot in 2013.
1:17 She looks like Christina Applegate!
0:34 BATMAN GLASSES! heck yes!!! :D
"da na na na na na- Batman!
-er, Batwoman!"
Bring this style back! :-D
I would love it if opticians were such fashion experts today!
Anyone have the full video?
Legit got an ad for glasses before this
The ones at 1:22 are so lovely! I would totally wear them to go out at night
Cat eye glasses!
Why can't I find glasses like these?!
The oyster pearl ones were the only ones that I thought were ok
Child of God and Daughter Of Jesus my eyes got very wide when I saw those! 😐
no, cameras weren't as good as hey are now so there skin seemed more flawless.
It is all a bit Dame Edna, but fascinating nonetheless.👍
These glasses are stunning :-) But I still prefere myself without ;-)
GIve me those frames at 1:18!!!
I want the ones on 0:44!
I have cat eye glasses in silver with rhinestones at the temples I got them from Etsy....I got scratch resistant lenses which were 35.00 good price huh y'all???????!!!!!!!
Oh wow, the woman @0:08 looks like Anne Hathaway!
agreee especialy for men
I liked the pale teal more.
the first lady looks like Anne Hathaway
1:15 dem eyes
1.36 OMG she looks like Anne Hathaway
I would wear almost every single one of these frames. Why don't we have fun glasses now?
I know people are bringing back the style from the 50s especially on the east coast. Does that mean they don't shave like in the 70s? Shaving has become more than an obsession in current times.
Is that Anne Hathaway as Catwoman at 0:27?
1:16 she is so gorgeous I have to draw her!! Any one know who she is??
My grandma
@bajubner
Yeah - uncanny as that thought may be, though, haha.
yooo why arent these bringing brought backA
I need glasses but I think I would rather do without if these were the only choice!
I wish I lived in this era, but people would be open minded, just not vocalize their disdain.
I'm pretty sure that's catwoman at 0:27
"..subtlety of modern design" LOL!!!
Exactly! This era was so...perfect. Can we please go back, as long as racial segregation didnt exist? Like the 1950s=amazing.
Good comment!
AGREE! Love that era in fashion, but they can keep the racism of that era. Not saying it’s perfect today, but it’s waaaay better than then!
this is soooooooooo true
WHAT ARE THOOOOOOSE? 😎
"Subtlety" of Modern Design
Lady at 1:17 is striking. Mind you, I'm drunk and incredibly charming at the moment.
imagine people wearing those now.
these are in fashion in 2017,,,, wellsaid fashion repeats
Gosh the women just look so elegant and beautiful ... what went wrong -_-'
As subtle as an axe murder.
