Want to learn how to make those Facebook or Instagram caption videos, where the subtitles are INSIDE the video? You know the ones... with those obligatory bars at the top and bottom of the video with a fancy bright color to get attention?
While it may LOOK simple, it’s not as easy as just adding text to videos… Because you’re dealing with subtitles that change every second or two, with the wrong approach you could spend hours manually syncing up the video and audio.
We released a tutorial a while back showing how to do it, but there’s now a ton of new tools and software that make the job MUCH easier!

Nice Tutorial. Here's the feedback on the subtitle (blue+grey in glitch effect): It works well when the background is tidy, but in conditions like backgroud is full of texts/websites, it's bit distractive to see that big subtitles with glitches.
BTW I like your green screen tricks in progress bar. So cool~

Hi Justin. Really like your videos! At 1:35 it looks like you are using it in Instagram story? And I have tested and it works, but it is adding all the words at the same time, not the way it looks at 1:40 where it types out the words one by one. Or maybe you have made it with the Caption sticker? I guess you have? Im in sweden so we don´t have the caption sticker yet, and I think it looks so much better word by word just like the caption sticker makes it. Thanks.
Thank you justin! This is very helpful. I was wondering if there was an app that would do captions word for word like Instagram but it is on the computer vs. on a phone. Tbh editing them on Instagram is arduous and takes a long time.
We have a video out on this really soon, windows and Mac have built in dictation too now and there are some decent tools out there to help

Hey Hrisi, sometimes they add or remove features depending on your location so maybe it's removed for you at the moment but may be added again in the future 👍
One thing that people misunderstand is that 'Motivation' is a temporary mindset whereas 'Discipline' is what keeps you going. Find your passion, your reason for making your channel, your ambition when they skies are grey, your having a bad day, and you STILL turn on that camera and make that video. THAT'S what it takes to succeed! Who here agrees? 👌🏻

Hey, glad you liked it. I don't have a tutorial on that yet. But basically, I just recorded myself on a greenscreen and edited it afterwards.
I subscribed a couple of years ago and just now really focusing on video content. Before I saw this video, I used the RUclips caption feature for a video interview in Bali (her English is bad) and typed out captions manually. Somehow after it published, it still is not showing up when I play the video. Am I missing something? I'm going to try one of your recommended apps for the next videos. Please throw some light on services translating and creating captions. Say for a Hindi language video i need English Subtitles. TIA.
I’m still on the fence as to whether captions are needed. I mean I haven’t had viewers asking for them and I don’t know if many foreign viewers will require them or not. But if it’s quick and accurate, I’d be down for one that’s built into Premiere Pro, didn’t know about their beta feature.
Hearing impaired people need them.
Fair enough, but I just looked at mine and if I switch CC on, subtitles appear, so I’m guessing that is the RUclips automatic ones? They seem to do a good enough job and are there for such people so not sure why the necessity to splash out money which smaller channels don’t have on such things.

The simplest way, for me anyway, is to let RUclips transcribe my audio then I go though it and edit any mistakes. It costs nothing and once done it’s available to any viewer in their own language

About the resize capcut is not as good and as resize other app and chrome key is not as powerful is second function so there have limit on it trust me I try it, or is depends on Android pH version capable handling the function.

Hey, it's being transcribe by native English-speaking experts that's why it gives 99% accuracy for audio files that are clearly audible.

While very informative, many of the options are out of the price range I Or my daughter can afford, as of now that is. Basically boot strapping it, I thank you for making this video, but some of the video's I have made and yet to edited / uploaded, are well over 30 minutes long to some that are 30 minutes or less, (gaming videos) and trying to assist my daughter get her channel going, many of these will need to be done manually. Unless there is an open-source option out there.
