Funny thing is...if she didn't die there, judging by some of their talk she'd have most likely died later. Spoilers....... After the house burned down they mentioned that "Mike got scratched, so he was probably gonna turn". I'm almost certain they would have shot Emily thinking it operates on zombie rules. Such a shame too, I was hoping to see that scene and what they'd do as it's a great "OK, does anyone know what a Wendigo is?" test.
Also the only really disappointing thing is the fact that you don't get to see how amazing the story of this game really is. If you ever go back remember that.
All I got to say is thanks for playing. Please don't come away thinking Until Dawn is a bad game because of the ending. This game is actually a classic game with a lot of depth and great acting. With this ending, I hope ya'll check out some adventure games like Uncharted. They're good for getting into story driven but gameplay heavy games. I think ya'll will fall in love with the fun, adventurous stories, characters and overall action set pieces
I hope you guys play this one again. It's actually a lot of fun to see decisions made now knowing the story and some of the possibilities with choices. I think you mentioned checking the Butterfly effect off camera? If you didn't, checking that every time the butterflies go across the screen is neat because you can see the cause and effect of a decision. Edited to add this hopeful suggestion: Reading papers and things you find can add a lot of atmosphere, background, and information to the story. Wouldn't mind if you did that a little better in the future. You would have known Mike was bruised and traumatized, not turning into a Wendigo for just one example. I got everyone out alive somehow on my first playthrough alone. I played with friends and we got everyone out alive. I played with my parents and we got everyone out alive, to my shock. When I play with other people on something I've done already, I do not spoil or influence any more than I might already have an opinion on what makes sense to do if someone asked. I will admit, turning vibrate off and setting the controller down is what we all did to pass those "don't move" segments. It is a glitch to keep referring to the others when they are all known dead at the end point in the game with Sam. Funny enough, since I kept everyone alive, the room where they see the bodies has a glitch if you do that. The characters react with horror to the entire room as if there are so many bodies but there are not lol. My vote for next games: "Tell Tale's The Walking Dead" First one is great. Second one is okay. Eh on the following. But it would still be cool. "Beyond Two Souls" is another decent one for choice-based play. Thanks for playing this game!
You know up until this episode I was quite surprised how well you guy managed to keep most of them alive. I GOT MY HOPES UP AND THEY WERE CRUSHED!! I was denied so many satisfying endings hahaha
You can keep everyone alive to the very end, including Josh.. in a way. Makes that last segment alot longer and the interviews at the end are much more fleshed out
Omg you guys just straight up left Mike to die ahahaha, the poor dude 🤣🤣🤣 1:39:00 Mike would have been fine from the scratch, you have to consume human flesh to become a Windego. There's a totally different subplot kind of in this same vein of "someone gets bit and you have to decide to shoot them or let them live" if you had different people alive. Oh, I'm also not sure if you guys noticed, but fun fact: Hannah is the one who saves Sam at 1:38:30 I would love a 2nd playthrough of this from you guys! Sucks about Mike though, but I'll admit, right there it isn't really clear that you're killing him by not hiding. I forgive it. Sam made it! One character... ONE, lol. Somehow, this is better than detroit 🤣 This playthrough was a blast guys. Since you guys are technically getting better, I expect AT LEAST two characters to make it out of the Quarry... As much as there is a chance to keep everyone alive, I think that good horror movie needs to kill most of the characters. I see this gameplay as a success.

Super Best Friends Play was the only channel I've seen that saved everyone. It was my first time watching someone play the game. They explored, maybe found all the clues and totems, didn't hit the dog, etc.
dont let anyone say youre playing the game wrong, oak had it right when he said "they made all these other outcomes for a reason" and its a fact, its a story with quite a bit of variability with regards to how many people are alive by the end, so many comments are talking about how theyve never seen X character die, thats great! I know its easy to feel like was a "mistake" but its a choose your own adventure-esque saga, relax those of you who are bothered by it
It is amazing how many scenes and conversations never happen if you get characters killed off very early in the game. Most people lose one or two characters, like Matt usually, or accidentally kill off everybody right at the end, which is hilarious, but I've never seen a playthrough so thoroughly kill off so many characters one at a time. RIP to the wolf who died to save you even though you kicked it. The flying fireballs are the Wendigo spirits being released. They're harmless in spirit form, and can only possess someone if they eat human flesh first. I have never seen so many bodies hung up in that cave. Usually it's only the Hunter, yet they act like it's their friends.
Please play again but this time with the knowledge on how to save everyone. The game is much different and much more satisfying when you have most of the characters alive. It fleshes the story out more.
When wolfie got his neck snapped i felt aweful and started hugging my dog haha. Yes i managed to save everyone but it's hard. Matt is the most difficult to save.
The therapist gets more messed up the more people you kill. So if there are 0 character deaths he appears like he did at the beginning. He grows more and more corpse like if you kill too many people. But hey ... at least our girl Sam is alive 🙃🙃 (and Josh I guess... in some ways...)
As for the question you guys had, Mike could've survived there. But these games are choice based, and you get pressured to make a choice quick, so it's always fun to see. You CAN lose every single person, and you CAN keep every single person alive.
I'd like to thank Oak for the 2 deaths. You miss out on a few cool decisions if you don't keep the characters alive but I've never seen these deaths before. So the way i see it he sacrificed his personal enjoyment for mine.
Don’t worry guys, I’ve played this game sooo many times. I still haven’t been able to save almost everyone and finding all the totems and artifacts. You guys did great for a first time play! 👍🏼
Until Dawn is being "remade" sometime this year! I don't believe there is an official release date yet. As far as it seems, it's the graphics, cinematography and refined gameplay that's being redone. There will be some new additions to the game. Some new collectables, places to investigate, etc. Not sure exactly how much will change. Could be a bunch of things, or maybe nothing crazy. Just can't wait to see the new version of it when it comes out! Also, everyone can be saved or taken out. (Jess and Matt almost feel impossible to save but it is possible) It's all about the choices you make, don't make, QTEs and staying still (which you guys already know). And not to give to much away but believe it or not... one slip-up, even a single QTE is all it can take to change each characters fate. So a lot of things aren't exactly 'inevitable'. Last thing, there were some things that were missed when Ashley was reading the book in the basement. There were some very important things in there that could help, and even change your outlook on how you play the last few parts of the game! I do not want to *spoil* any of that incase you guys decide to give another gameplay a go in the near future! This gameplay was very cool to watch. The jump scares got me about as many times as it got Oak... so almost all of them 😂It's like we were playing along with you three in a way. It would be super awesome to see you three play this again later on down the line when the "new version" is released. Looking forward to seeing more of The Quarry from Mason and The Oak! Oh, and on that note... "don't forget those quarters" 🤟
Please don't take this the wrong way but for next time, consider playing on the easiest difficulty for games like this. The difficulties pretty much only change how fast you have to react to certain things. I'm pretty sure most of us here are watching to see how good your decision making skills are and not how good you are at video games. I play most games on the hardest difficulty except for these types of games. I'm here to watch how the story unfolds based on my decisions and not because I got caught slacking. I feel like many of the characters could've been saved if you were given more time to react to QTEs (Quick Time Events. Essentially the parts where you have to press a button fast). Also you guys failing the QTEs also affected some of your decisions. For example with Mike, you chose the "safe" route (which got Jess killed) ONLY because you guys were failing the QTEs for the "faster" route. I feel like with an easier difficulty, it would be more entertaining IMO because we get to see how your decisions affect the game and not how fast your reflexes are.
I somehow managed to save everyone on my first playthrough 😅 I definitely didn't expect you guys to miss so many clues and to get everyone but Sam killed. Don't feel too bad though, I have seen someone get no survivors 😂
This was a fun and intense game. Feel free to leave suggestions for the next gameplay :)

@@demon1103 Yeah, they didn't pay too much attention to the backstory. I'm just glad they figured out Hannah.
Also the only really disappointing thing is the fact that you don't get to see how amazing the story of this game really is. If you ever go back remember that.
Yeah, it's a little bit of a bummer just much much of the game they didn't even get to see by getting everyone killed so fast. Eh, still entertaining
All I got to say is thanks for playing. Please don't come away thinking Until Dawn is a bad game because of the ending. This game is actually a classic game with a lot of depth and great acting. The gameplay is also rewarding when you get it right XD.
Don't feel like you let us down. If nothing else you gave us a laugh. Those first 20 minutes I was dying. Thank you Oak.
Oak…why… lmaooo 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen Emily or Chris get killed like that!
SPOILER WARNING!!
Dude the fact you managed to kill literally everyone except Sam is some RARE ass gameplay! I managed to save everyone but the hardest to keep alive is definitely Matt and Jess
I love how this is the first comment I see before I even get to gameplay .....spoiler alert would be nice
Thanks for spoiling the video :'D (RUclips's comment preview decided to show me this right as I clicked on the video😔)
Right he got killed some of the easiest parts to escape. . Keeping Matt alive was definitely most difficult for me too
@@vixzyn dude I’m sorry I’ll edit it to include a warning
@@jasmineparr-lovey1943your warning doesn't do anything, because the whole text still appears on the screen. you have to make the distance between the spoiler warning and the spoiler bigger, so that someone has to "click more" to show the actual spoiler. fix it
It's crazy getting to an ending like this and then thinking, "How the hell is it possible that everyone could have survived to the end?!" Darn cool.
I think this is the first time I've seen a playthrough of this with so many deaths XD I loved watching this!
Thank You😂😂😂 -OAK
Spoiler:
You can actually save everyone. the game was much shorter because so many people died early 😅
everyone except the sisters and josh
@@kimkardashiansdaddy2744You can save Josh, the only ones you can't save are the sisters and the stranger.
@@ny6978you can’t though, the ending they got (Josh turning into the wendigo) and Josh dying are the only endings for him… which sucks
@@paulinegrint This is very pedantic. For the majority of people, saving Josh = reading the Journal and preventing him from getting outright killed by Hannah. If you're talking about a dictionary definition, sure; Josh gets a bad ending either way. The difference is the player DID something instead of missing something.
when i saw part 4 is finale i know for sure many characters died way early hence story mode is short LOL
Emily died way too soon. I don't like her, but she can at least provide information to the group and tell them that they need to survive until dawn.
I knew you got everybody killed based on this being the finale at only 4 parts 😭
You guys should play Life is Strange or Resident Evil 7 next :)
bruh they would't get past Jack's first boss fight lmao@@totalknightmare
Same Im kinda confused why this is the finale video already. Lol
@@Manudyne yeah but at least in that game you come back to life 🤣 their reactions would be hilarious, especially mason and oak
It didn’t give me an Option? He says so calmly 🤣. Jeez OAK LOCK IN!!! Thanks for the Play through Fellas. And yes u can save every1. You guys should play The walking Dead y’all would love that so would we.
Oak: "It didn't give me a prompt."
Me: "I think your telling the truth . . . it is Emily though and you were just sitting there looking at this big R2 on the screen not a quick time event where it was there and gone."
You're right, the Walking Dead would be such a good game for them.
@@Niallish1Absolutely Bro, I Really hope some1 on there Patron Refers it to them, I’ll be popping My Quarters ASAP! Have a good 1 bro. ✌🏼
When I want to see deep playthroughs that explore all the lore available, I watch Mapocolops. When I want to see a Game Developer appreciate environments and have a genuinely good time, I watch Symbalily. I come here to watch all of our collective dads try to remember the buttons on the controller.
I'm crying
Not me screaming "SHOOT!!" while working when Oak so majestically killed Chris 😂😂😂😂 I was pissed 😂😂😂
I don't even know if I should laugh or get frustrated when Oak misses a QTE. 😂
Not oak accidentally killing the two characters that were the stereotypes of mean girls 😂 poor em she actually was my fave character
She wasn’t my fav but despite her catty attitude, she was actually pretty attractive.
I like Em too, she's a sassy bitch
Oak killing Emily in like 2 minutes is crazy
With this ending, I hope ya'll check out some adventure games like Uncharted. They're good for getting into story driven but gameplay heavy games. I think ya'll will fall in love with the fun, adventurous stories, characters and overall action set pieces
yes yes plss
Eww, basic af.
howwwwwwwwwwww@@paul4000
I was denied so many satisfying endings hahaha
sam is my favorite character. sam and mike are my favorite duo. emily is the most innovative
Great job Oak keeping Emily and Chris safe at the start of this episode 😁👍
His reflexes on that shot were legitimately impressive. I thought he was BS-ing about all of that CoD experience.
Well at least I got something right 😂😂😂 -OAK
Man started the vid doing absolutely nothing but killing the squad. Wild.
Lmao Quinn being happy to save just one person is hilarious
R2 in the middle of the screen... "it didnt give me the option"... xD... gg wp
Congratulations on hitting 26K subs!! You will have 100K soon! So let's go!!
You can keep everyone alive to the very end, including Josh.. in a way. Makes that last segment alot longer and the interviews at the end are much more fleshed out
Life is Strange is highly recommended by me. 💜
So everyone can die in that one too
no the choices in that game are fake
@@kimkardashiansdaddy2744it’s more about the story/experience than choices in the game
Would be great to see the guys react to the "hip" teen lingo.
but i wouldn't play that game with everyone, since its heavy on reading and looking at everything and maybe some of them could get bored?
I highly recommend Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1. It’s a choice-based game and has a fantastic story. Would love to see that on the channel.
Omg you guys just straight up left Mike to die ahahaha, the poor dude 🤣🤣🤣
1:39:00 Mike would have been fine from the scratch, you have to consume human flesh to become a Windego. There's a totally different subplot kind of in this same vein of "someone gets bit and you have to decide to shoot them or let them live" if you had different people alive.
Oh, I'm also not sure if you guys noticed, but fun fact: Hannah is the one who saves Sam at 1:38:30
I would love a 2nd playthrough of this from you guys! And maybe try to save some more people next time 😜
Emily going out like that hurts, man. LOL. Never seen that before.
*EDIT:* Oh no... Chris, too? 😅
*EDIT2:* ASHLEY... lmao.. but how? You guys know Jessica is dead 🤣
*EDIT3:* Oak got the controller... AT THE LODGE 🤣🤣🤣Oh no lol.
*EDIT4:* Ohhhh wait, you know what? That was actually pretty good Oak! 3 whole "don't moves" damn okay! Sorry man (you did kill 2 characters haha). Sucks about Mike though, but I'll admit, right there it isn't really clear that you're killing him by not hiding. I forgive it. Sam made it!
One character... ONE, lol. Somehow, this is better than detroit 🤣
This playthrough was a blast guys. Since you guys are technically getting better, I expect AT LEAST two characters to make it out of the Quarry... NOT LESS, lol.
i knew emily was gonna die like that, just like chris, these guys are not paying enough attention or forget the controls.
The quarry should be better for them as the controls are way easier
@@bobbydeclown8430 To be fair though... they're complete newbies, not really gamers so.. eh, it's alright. And Oak, he got thrown into that mess right at the start of the session with 0 buildup after not playing for who knows.
@@bobbydeclown8430does it matter? its a game supposed to play with basically instinct kinda like real life? like
@@lmaolini No it doesn't i just allready knew it was gonna happen because of the reasons you and the other comments said. I was waiting for it and it was fun :)
haha, I saw the length of the video and was wondering why it wasn't longer... now I understand. great video, guys!!
Thank You!!! We still have a LONG way to go!!!! -OAK
I love this channel so much. I honestly haven’t been in to watching gameplays but y’all have got me hooked. I have your notifications on so i don’t miss my faves. Keep doing what your doing❤
Thank You ❤❤❤ -OAK
the more people that die the more messed up josh is in the end
Love how i allready knew emily would die there.
Also love how guy in the middle noticed the Hannah Tattoo, But no one reacted.... One of the biggest twists in the game just ignored :P
As much as there is a chance to keep everyone alive, I think that good horror movie needs to kill most of the characters. I see this gameplay as a success.
THANK YOU!!! -OAK
lmaoooooooooo@@davidbaye3758
At least y’all saved the final girl 😂
dude said "ah man, sorry about before. i thought you killed jess." so nonchalantly 😂😂😂
I've seen people purposely trying to make the worst decisions save more people lmao gg guys, still super entertaining
Damn yall really good at killing characters 💀 that Detroit becomes human decision making carried over hard 😭😭
Oak is so slow with the quick time stuff. It’s funny to watch. He is good with the button pressing but the R2 moments and when he has to select left or right he didn’t hold it💀
All this QTE stuff is new to me! I’ll get better!! -OAK
he killed EVERYONE!! lol
Also, the Dark Pictures Anthology was kind of a series of sequels for Until Dawn, just similar types of games with different characters and settings
I'd love a re-playthrough at some point, this game has so much more to offer and your reactions and banter have been hilarious 🤣
It's possible to finish the game and everyone survive.
Oak: You gotta save 'em!
Me: SAVE WHO? SAVE WHO? 🤌
staawpp ahahahh
I can't tell y'all how much I've been anticipating this. I've binged so much UD content in the last week 😂
Super Best Friends Play was the only channel I've seen that saved everyone. It was my first time watching someone play the game. They explored, maybe found all the clues and totems, didn't hit the dog, etc.
Rewatching to see Oak systematically kill EVERYONE at the earliest opportunity 😂
I can't wait until they replay!
You guys would love Telltales The Walking Dead games.
dont let anyone say youre playing the game wrong, oak had it right when he said "they made all these other outcomes for a reason" and its a fact, its a story with quite a bit of variability with regards to how many people are alive by the end, so many comments are talking about how theyve never seen X character die, thats great! I know its easy to feel like was a "mistake" but its a choose your own adventure-esque saga, relax those of you who are bothered by it
It might be worth a second playthrough where you guys try to go deathless.
It fleshes the story out more.
you’re able to save everyone except josh! he either becomes a wendigo or dies
poor guy ahahah he doesn't even have a chance lmaooo
When wolfie got his neck snapped i felt aweful and started hugging my dog haha. Yes i managed to save everyone but it's hard. Matt is the most difficult to save.
I am pretty sure that you can save every single person and loose everyone XD
The therapist gets more messed up the more people you kill. So if there are 0 character deaths he appears like he did at the beginning. He grows more and more corpse like if you kill too many people. But hey ... at least our girl Sam is alive 🙃🙃 (and Josh I guess... in some ways...)
Me: well at least since Jessica's dead, that should prevent them from falling for the voice....
...welp. Although I guess i'm not that surprised.
Oh come on! I so wanted to see more shenanigans with Emily after they got reunited! We were deprived of this! 😂
I’m all about sacrifices for the betterment of the channel 🤣🤣🤣 -OAK
«Life is strange» is a choice-based game that is family friendly. And very popular.
They killed everyone? Yes
But that was so much fun! I loved this gameplay
Thank You!!! -OAK
Appleton oak: I got this
Not even ten minutes later fails the easiest action in the game and kills Emily 😂
Don’t worry guys, I’ve played this game sooo many times. I still haven’t been able to save almost everyone and finding all the totems and artifacts. You guys did great for a first time play! 👍🏼
Thank You!!! -OAK
This is probably the most Insightful comment I’ve seen and you are SPOT ON!!!! With these games it’s not about skill but rather decision making! -Oak
I mean I would recommend eventually replaying and trying to... you know, not get the worst ending XD (almost)
I somehow managed to save everyone on my first playthrough 😅 I definitely didn't expect you guys to miss so many clues and to get everyone but Sam killed. Don't feel too bad though, I have seen someone get no survivors 😂
you guys doing your best to kill every character in all these games. Looking forward to the Quarry deaths hahaha
