good to know
This movie was so funny but in a terribly awkward way. If you can deal with awkward, you can deal with this. It's also romantic and terribly heart-breaking and funny all at the same time. I walked away with so many questions but strangely satisfied. It's an experience. Go watch it.

Just watched this for the first time last week and would highly recommend. To go off on a tangent this is the reason why I don't watch trailers anymore. SO MUCH of the film is given away in these 2 minutes.

Their films are a breath of fresh air.
Saw this movie yesterday, it was fantastic. It was perfectly weird, awkward and funny. I love the director's other two films and this is his most enjoyable yet. Still might not be for everyone but it's still worth seeing at least once.
This is one of my absolute favorite movies. I keep waiting for Yorgos to top this and am still waiting! It is such an OUTRAGEOUS concept but played straight the entire time with 100% commitment from the actors and characters. Thank you for giving us this gem, Lorgos!

@@tracyalice575 ah thank you for the interaction :) I actually disagree and this is still my favorite of his. It's hard to idolize a director's work and expect them to keep raising the bar or at least excelling. Poor Things disappointed me (in part) as a result of those expectations.
I have not yet tired of seeing The Lobster but will never watch Poor Things again as far as I can imagine. Glad you enjoyed it, though!

Zero Kelvin do it it's great
I saw it, it's surrealistic and people act a little robotic. I liked it, it was original and by stripping away "normal human behaviour" it actually highlighted teh way we act. At least that was just my take :)

I literally hate romantic movies but this one with also the movie "Her" touched me like so deeply...I was crying all night and thinking about it for 3 days. So realistic about the today's relationships..
"Her" (concepts of loneliness and modern take on love) meets "Metamorphosis" (taking on animal/insect shaping) meets grim humor of Kurt Vonnegut...
I was laughing the whole movie, it’s ridiculously funny 😂

the symmetry, classic music, title topography and bizarre violence sequences are truly inspired by Kubrick, and lets not let behind the message of the movie
I just watched it for the first time. Hotel scene reminded me of The Shining. Definitely was inspired by Kubrick

I think this movie is about how your place in society doesn't really say anything about who you belong with, but influences a lot who you will end up with. Love and intimacy must contend with economic concerns. Probably other things too, but that's something I get from it.
I just watched it yesterday. Such a unique movie. Funny, but also very dark at times. I highly recommend watching it but keep your expectations low.
Wow, this trailer makes the movie seem like a complete comedy but while watching it, you can barely taste the hints of comedy amidst the moodiness of the entire movie and its grey tones and classical music.
Watched ontrot Lanthimos's The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Favourite. Oh, boy could I escape his wicked spell? No, No one can.

Masterpiece. Like every a24 movie. Have almost all collectors editions at Home! Every movie is so entertaining in its own way.
I dont know why but i think this captures the nature of comedy like in wes andersons films

I honestly did not like this when i saw it in the theater and for years afterward, until I rewatched during Covid having becoming a whole new level of cinephile in that time, and really enjoyed it. I still don't love the second half or how it ends really, but the first half is great and there's a lot to like in the second half too.

I would like to get inside of the head of the person who thought this up. Although I am worried that I wouldn't be able to take whatever drugs it is they used to think of this. Still, I love this movie. Don't understand one minute of it, but the cast is beyond stellar and I love all of the actors.
