The 4 inch strap bunching up at the rub rail is not acceptable when tightening . Undo stress on the fibers of the strap .

On your first coil , pulling to the front. You throw the strap through. Then through the other side. And back through. But you did not put your return under your first throw through. Does this cause your strap to tighten down on your strap that is latched to the rub rail. And cause it not to get tighter?
