I personally would have it that Creeds daughter got his coat from a Harlequin, trying to steel her resolve against the Great Enemy. Maybe in a very strange deal with Trazyn to make another hero of history.
Well, Tallarn went from beeing an agri-world to Dune because Perturabo had some virus-bombs to spend before he unleashed the Iron Warriors, a Knighthous plus a Titan Legion onto the planet to mob up the rest 😅
Hey adeptus ridiculous team i know you like guard as seen above but one section you havent coverd yet was the solar auxilia just a thought for more guard content
I think Trazyn is trying to build up Creed's progeny to collect them later. If he lives long enough, I wouldn't be surprised if he built up Ursula's children and their children after that in order "collect them all" lol
My head canon about Ursulla Creed's jacket is that Ursakar Creed discussed with Trazyn while hanging out in his collection, and somehow, through sheer shows of will (and because chaos is bad for everyone), he convinced Trazyn to give his jacket to his daughter as a way to inspire her to fight harder against the archenemy.
Putting the Cadian infantry together in the box has kinda been a pain in the ass. I dropped a Scion from 40 feet on to asphalt and he was perfectly fine, I drop a Cadian guardsman from like 4 and a half feet? Head disconnects, torso disconnects from waist, and I end up very annoyed. At least the Scion lived up to his job.
Creed Family having Tactic Genius is meme quality. All because in the old rules for Creed himself. Tactics Genius allowed Creed to call in a Warlord Titan onto the battle out of thin air. Even have a Baneblade sneak attack an enemy army.
Thanks for an interesting run-through of the new codex lore! You talking about the different regiments gave me an idea for a future episode: you could go through the different Necromunda gangs. (While rather specific, I think they they have some very interesting lore and could be seen as archetypes of different gangs found on various Hive worlds)
The crazy thing about Tallarn is that it was a paradise world before the Horus Heresy. Perturabo was tasked to take over the planet by Horus, and started by Virus bombing it (typical perty). The Tallarn survivors fled underground and only could survive on the surface by hiding in tanks. The next few months saw the largest tank battles of the Heresy, and eventually Horus called Perturabo back because it was taking too long and taking too many resources. Yeah, these normal humans resisted a siege from the Siegemaster himself.
My headcanon is that Yarrick is still “alive” due to WAAGGH shenanigans. Cos of course the Orks won’t let their best rival be picked off by some half-rate Demon Primarch who can’t krump right.
I bought the Krieg Kill Team box, and goddamn, Bricky, do I feel you on the "too many bits and bobs." The fucking bayonets for the rifles are separate, teensy tiny bits, and the hand for the robotic arm for the veteran sergeant is a separate fuckin piece
I'm hyped for a book or scenario thing where Ursula finds out about Tryzin's bullshit and it becomes a fight or rivalry thing to try and get Creed back
14:10 no that was a real thing. I think it was Japanese troops who used it in WW2 to take out U.S tanks. As long as it's shaped correctly and the shaft it's on is long enough it's not as deadly as you seem to think. Edit. I suppose I should say less deadly than having an enemy tank rolling around.
I 100% believe that Trazyn and Creed are working together to form an army, and Trazyn yanked Yarrick to help out. We're gonna have a faction across factions. Trazyn. Creed. Yvvraine. Farsight. They're gonna be like DC's new guardians, a main representative from each faction
I used to be a imperial player, who turned to chaos, and when ever I see one of my guard firends now, Im offering a seat, because cadia doesnt stand anymore.
I'd find a big jawbreaker, write CADIA on it, smash it in front of you with a hammer, and offer you some while standing. Because the planet shattered before the Guard did.

Part of me honestly hopes that if it's angron that killed yarick, maybe some chad in the inquisition finds a way to deliver the news/info to gazkull...especially the possibility that angron has yaricks skull as a keepsake/trophy. Imagine gazkull just dropping EVERYTHING to go avenge the one whom HE was suposed to beat in battle, a Waaagh of ages that frankly is worth its own campaign with legitimate stakes and character drama. Like imagine if angrons plan is to actually finally and officially "claim" Armageddon and turn it into a demonworld, imperial forces are preoccupied elsewhere, but a force of grey knights and arrmagedon guardsmen that want to reclaim their home alongside rebels on the surface are up against the world eaters and demon forces of khorne...things legitimately look dire and grim, as even with what they have the imperial faction is at a major disadvantage...and then gazkull shows up seeking not only vengeance, but to reclaim the skull of the closest thing this orc had to a "freind/rival". Imperium and guard in a tenuous alliance to stop angron and his forces... End result? Angron is beaten back into the warp for now, the skull of yarick (or atleast what he thinks is the skull) is in gazkulls claws, and the orks actually leave Armageddon despite having a superior force in the end over the imperium...Basically gazkull deciding "it's not a proppa fight without old bale eye, and especially with them bruised up like now" and leaving to another battlefield but promising to one day return for a "proppa scrap".
Yeah tactical genius was a meme back in the old editions the tactical genius allowed you to infiltrate Any unit in your army an have it Deploy anywhere on the battlefield up to like 6 inches from the enemy deployment zone this included titans. In defense of the horse: Imagine trying to charge in on a wheeled or tracked vehicle. Over a wide path of shell craters and trenches. Not a smooth ride. What if it's in a city? Hard to manuver over rubble. A horse can manuver around craters faster, move through streets better, and is a smaller target than most vehicles the imperium has to offer.

The only thing I am not sure about the new Ursula Creed model is her pose. Like, I wish she was more "active" in her pose, like Sgt Kell was. To me, I would have loved to see this nod, as it would show that, while she is her fathers daughter, she still remembers her Uncle Kell.
I mean, the idea is that Cadia lives on in the hearts of Cadians more than it does as an actual place. It doesn't help that Cadia was broken apart, fed to the warp, and the Cadians were STILL FIGHTING on the shattered surface.
Dk, did you forget that all their 'tech' is just echoes of remnants if the last technology mostly long forgotten? Also using low tech means less moving parts, less moving parts means less things to break and or malfunction. They cant just make new machine spirits and new tech, thats heresy

Saga of the Beast is the story of how Gazghkull got his new model and Ragnar became Primaris. GW really just wants us to know even the villains only consider space marines worth fighting
The Kasrkin were actually around before the Tempestus Scions. GW got rid of them when they first made the Scions a thing. I still have the old metal Kasrkin models, and I've been using them as Scions in games of Kill Team.
During a Daemon invasion on Catachan, local populace didn't notice the Daemons. But they do note that the local wildlife is acting slightly more agitated.
4th Guard codex still stands as the best representation of The Guard as a whole, you could field a standard Guard army from the basic list or you could construct a customised force from the doctrines system and nothing since has represented that variety, 4th Ed you never saw 2 Guard army's that were the same, everything from Mechanised inf, to airborne to light infantry jungle gurilla forces. I miss the insanity of that time every army custom every play style d8fferent
It was a similar deal with Space Marines, you had chapter customs and most official chapters were made using that system, plus you could change up your force org chart by bringing an appropriate Captain (captain on bike makes bikers troops, captain with jump pack makes assault marines troops).
@@AGrumpyPanda yeah I remember that Marine Codex, it had some pretty cool rules lifted straight from the cursed founding like Cermite Skeleton's, it wasn't as free form as the Guard doctrines but you could do some intresting things, it came pretty late in 4th's life cycle as I remember which was a shame as it didnt have the time to fully explored or all the extra white Dwarf expansions The Guard benefited from although I remember a create your own chapter master? @@airplanemaniacgaming7877 I'm pretty sure the Blood Angel that Trazyn has in his collection, you know, the one with an expression of pure fear...I'm pretty sure that was because bumped Into a Kraskin, making him spill his Drink on Strakken, in front of Marbo.
Cadians when Cadia fell:
*Sad for a few hours*
Tannith's First and Only at any time and place:
*PISSED OFF SCOTTISH SOUNDS*
I can't help imagining Trazyn saying " a fine addition to my collection" when he stuffs Creed into whatever stasis field.
I think Trazyn is trying to build up Creed's progeny to collect them later. If he lives long enough, I wouldn't be surprised if he built up Ursula's children and their children after that in order "collect them all" lol
@Philip Malcolm I meant to write catch not collect 😆 you got it though so I'm happy
Shout out to Trazyn setting up next Chad. Let's get that necron merch baby!
"Caught me off guard, this one"
I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE
My head canon about Ursulla Creed's jacket is that Ursakar Creed discussed with Trazyn while hanging out in his collection, and somehow, through sheer shows of will (and because chaos is bad for everyone), he convinced Trazyn to give his jacket to his daughter as a way to inspire her to fight harder against the archenemy.
The frag and melta tipped pikes remind me of the Japanese using shaped charges on the ends of pikes.
Kriegers the only IG reg that looks at what happened to Cadia and wishes it was them.
Normal gaurdsman visiting catachan: "Are the plants deciduous or coniferous?"
Catachan: "They are all Carnivorous!"
Gaurdsman: "oh..."
Yeah, but Scions are basically supposed to be super-crazy-ultra-soldiers trained from birth. Cadians are just very stalwart people.
Creed Family having Tactic Genius is meme quality. All because in the old rules for Creed himself. Tactics Genius allowed Creed to call in a Warlord Titan onto the battle out of thin air. Even have a Baneblade sneak attack an enemy army.
Some day the Harakoni Warhawks will get the recognition they deserve
Rocked their scheme on skirmish mode in Dawn of War back in the day
Nothing like Adeptus Ridiculous to listen to on my birthday.
Right when I'm getting into making a Cadia army I love you guys
Ghaz: About to give old Ang a whoopen hes never has had. All because he took the one thing that made him happy
I'm hyped for a book or scenario thing where Ursula finds out about Tryzin's bullshit and it becomes a fight or rivalry thing to try and get Creed back
Wow… the new countdown for these livestreams is fucking gorgeous
14:10 no that was a real thing. I think it was Japanese troops who used it in WW2 to take out U.S tanks. As long as it's shaped correctly and the shaft it's on is long enough it's not as deadly as you seem to think.
Edit. I suppose I should say less deadly than having an enemy tank rolling around.
Chaos Demons invade Catachan. Immediately get attacked by the wildlife. Leave and say nope.
@@xkavarsmith9322 I'd respect that
I want to see somebody make a Ghazghkull vs Angron animation YESTERDAY
Back from deployment, I have a bit of catching up to do with what I've missed, but it's good to see y'all again.
19:19 Burnished gold in the face of scrutinizing eyes, often improves the features behind those judging; because believe it as you may, gold is gold, in all form and function; its worth is invaluable in the eyes of men.
i think deep deep deep deep (bottoms of his feet deep) Trazyn "likes" being a hero/making history/being there for history/helping history along.
”CADIA STANDS,CADIA LIVES!” You can feel the sadness in the cutthroat line delivery trying to forget it ever happend but he can’t. Hes masking it buy sounding angery ( wich he is probably) but he droppes it in the end
Not only is Leantus able to be called "ponyboy" for being on a horse; he also could be called that vecause he literally looks like he is covered in gold in the art, and the area around him is gold
Yarick is a reference, my dudes. "ALAS POOR YORICK" i.e. the skull from Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Yeah tactical genius was a meme back in the old editions the tactical genius allowed you to infiltrate Any unit in your army an have it Deploy anywhere on the battlefield up to like 6 inches from the enemy deployment zone this included titans.
Also can't wait for yarrick's stats to turn up in the Ork codex.
I was starting to doze off a little but Bricky yelling about putting together the heavy ordinance minis woke me RIGHT back up 😂
Catachan: We’re not trapped here with you, you’re not trapped here with us. We’re all trapped here… with the planet.
"Took a little vacation to Portland Oregon" sounds like a punishment to me.
Not sure why, upper west coast is gorgeous. Unless you can't stand the cold, in which case I can kind of see it.
@@probablypragmatic6893 The west coast Of United States is a mega third world shithole that makes the brazilian favelas look a nice place to live in.
@davidfrancisco3502 I'm looking up houses right now and, aside from being expensive (like, it's near the ocean so that's expected) they seem pretty nice. Maybe you're just looking at bad neighborhoods.
I'm sure there's some obnoxious people, but, I mean you can't find a location with people where there's no obnoxious people lol.
Where is a much better place to live, in your opinion?

"Wait, it's all seperate?"
"Always has been"
I didn’t expect an Adric episode as a birthday gift, but I’m certainly not complaining
In defense of the horse:
Imagine trying to charge in on a wheeled or tracked vehicle. Over a wide path of shell craters and trenches. Not a smooth ride.
What if it's in a city? Hard to manuver over rubble.
A horse can manuver around craters faster, move through streets better, and is a smaller target than most vehicles the imperium has to offer.
Bricky, you gotta get into 3D printing. You get less fiddly bits, better head sculpts, more options, and it’s so much cheaper!
I have to say the man made death world idea is a solid idea. Spoofs what are in my opinion two of the greatest sci fi ideas of all time. That being the moving cities of Mortal Engines and of course Jurassic World.
The only thing I am not sure about the new Ursula Creed model is her pose. Like, I wish she was more "active" in her pose, like Sgt Kell was. To me, I would have loved to see this nod, as it would show that, while she is her fathers daughter, she still remembers her Uncle Kell.
"We are all know Cadia fell, this is a mockery of everything Abaddon had achieved" -Dave
“Cadia stands!”
Death Korps, Valhallans, Catachans, and basically everyone’s homebrew: does it though?
I mean, the idea is that Cadia lives on in the hearts of Cadians more than it does as an actual place.
It doesn't help that Cadia was broken apart, fed to the warp, and the Cadians were STILL FIGHTING on the shattered surface.
Dk, did you forget that all their 'tech' is just echoes of remnants if the last technology mostly long forgotten? Also using low tech means less moving parts, less moving parts means less things to break and or malfunction. They cant just make new machine spirits and new tech, thats heresy
Bricky completely glossed over the fact that the tallarn desert raiders beat the mfn iron warriors in tank warfare
31:11 Speaking of, when's the next book review of the Gaunt's Ghosts series?
37:32 Bricky, Celestine isn't the only living Saint to exist. If Yarrik has become an Imperial Saint, that'll be even better than anything he's been so far.
Lol, love the Trunchbull reference. I feel like Bricky and me have seen all the same movies
If Yarrick Ascended, it would more likely be as an Ork Saint or combo of Ork & Imperium Saint
Not sure if the AdRic crew knew this or not but Black Library recently announced an Ursula Creed book where she has to go back to the remnants of Cadia to retrieve Creed's old battle plans
Baldemort did great intro of Kasrkin. Well Baldemort did great on a lot of things that goes without saying. He's like the story telling daddy, while DK & Bricky like the neighborhood guys you play with.
The Lord solar's mechanical horse reminds me of that eighties cartoon the Galaxy Rangers
Cadia Stands

Good episode on the Guard I love them they are so fun to play in only war it makes you use tactics or you die and even when you get it right you still die sometimes.
Just the break I needed from the horrors of finals while sick
Bricky don’t complain about the artillery models just build them armless like Abaddon bam less pieces to paint!
I feel ya Bricky. 2 weeks back, massive snowfall, had to wait 2 hours outside to catch a bus, now I'm coughing up pints of Nurgle juice. Get well soon!
Take horses, put some cybernetic legs and a gas mask on it and charge into glorious space battles! LET'S GO!
that story of catachan always gets me.
Portland fan here, glad we could host ya bricky.
I've always thought Trazyn had an endgame aside from collection, which is getting the best from throughout history for some sort of final battle whether that be against the Tyranids full fleet or something worse
Nah, he is just neurotic. Pretty sure he wants just two things. To secure necron interests and add all those whom make history to the collection. Sometimes in that order, too.
44:00 7 month's later I can attest; those units are still a pain in the ass to build
I feel that last part, the main reason in haven't built my admech army are all the little bits
Khorne daemons day one on Catachan. "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD"!
Khorne daemons day two on Catachan. "I don't want to live on this planet anymore".
Khorne daemons day thirty on Catachan. "NO MORE. PLEASE LET ME DIE"!
Thank you shy for showing all the Mass Effect Endings. It said the point well.
In Saga of the Beast Gazghkull says that Yarrick and Armageddon were a fun distraction while he waited for his real and true legendary rival Ragnar Blackmane to show up. Saga of the Beast is the story of how Gazghkull got his new model and Ragnar became Primaris.
GW really just wants us to know even the villains only consider space marines worth fighting
For those who are also curious, the cover artist for this codex and many recent others is Lewis Jones.
I misheard pony boy as Poland boy and I just kinda went with it cause it still makes sense
I often wonder what 40k would be like if Chamber hadn't left and that trend of army customisation had been allowed continue
It would be dope to see a Lord Solar Macharius episode
