Thank you for this good and fair discription. We have done more than 53 cruises since we got hooked in 2005 and sailed on this ship several times already, in fact we have booked a back2back2back for next year. We love those older ships and just can't see ourselves on the mega vessels with those many thousands of passengers. Each to their liking - we have experienced people being so disappointed on the old ships, they just did not do their homework on what to expect prior to booking! We love the peace and quiet and the whole ship!
Completely agree with you. We love the Radiance Class ships; Serenade and Jewel especially. People don’t research properly, book the older/smaller ships, and then complain they lack the bells & whistles of the new ones. We’re booked on Jewel again next year and have been sailing with RCI for over 30 years. We thoroughly enjoy their product
Sorry, just saw this. We sailed Jewel right before the pandemic. It was a 12-night Greek Island cruise, and the best cruise we ever had. We are booked on her in 2024 on a Arctic Circle/Norwegian Fiord trip, also a 12 nighter.
Infact, there is no favourite ship! We are Diamond Plus with RCL, therefore travel a lot with them. Nevertheless, Cunard is lovely, HAL has good value, Celebrity is good and even MSC has its pros! We live in the middle of Europe, quite far from any water, not to even talk of cruise ports! So any port is a good port.. We have done most of the caribbean Islands, quite some European countries, even Oceania we have traveled to. So, asking for a specific port... I just can't answer 🤷
