I loved Freedom of the Seas, just got off on the CoCo Cay/Nassau out of Miami cruise, loved everything about it from the food, to the bars, to the entertainment to the impeccable service with a smile , honestly ! how do people stay so happy all the time while working ? simply amazing
I cruised on the Mariner of the Seas a couple of years ago after getting it's revamp during the pandemic & I LOVED it as well. I got upgraded to a Jr. Suite for a 5 day cruise by myself. It was awesome, no issues with service, but then there was only 1600 passengers on board out of a possible 4200, so I was able to do so much more with less crowds. I would cruise on this ship again, but I really want to cruise on an Oasis class & I hear that Allure & Symphony will be offering shorter (3-5 days) cruises next year, so I'll be checking that out.
Hello Mummy, Tampa here. Sailed on the Grandeur OTS, many years ago on a two week repo, and loved my time onboard. Sailing her again in May out of out Tampa, and can't wait. Have seen recent videos on her, and the ship looks like it will again be a fun cruise. Love the smaller ships, not into the "Mega" ships. Thanks for the video.
Holy moly I was only on the quantum over NYE and yes it was my first cruise but I thought it was sooooo good. The people the food the activities.. I didn’t think it could get much better but maybe I have some more cruising to do haha
I was on Jewel of the Seas and I really enjoyed it. It was an 8 night cruise and felt like there was so much to do! I think people just think people who leave reviews are more than likely the ones that book small ships and expect Wonder of the Seas.
definitly. RC advertises their high tier ships so often that people see a budget lvl cruise, maybe a 2 or 3 day trip on a smaller class maybe, and their let down because it doesnt have the slides and bumper cars and all that. My first cruise was on a smaller budget class, and i was pretty bored on ship tbo. less activities, and i didnt have drink packages so i couldnt even drink much. 2nd cruise i took a oasis class and i never ran out of stuff to do. However if the destination is more important for you, and you want a cheap charter, the older ships are perfect
Update; Wasn't a lot going on outside of football games.. kinda made the experience not worth it we really looked forward to sitting on the top deck and watching a movie...
I loved the Freedom of the seas it was my very first cruise that I have been on. It all started when my mom started going on cruises when she came back she always said how much fun it is and showed me lots of pictures when I saw them I told her I would love to try a cruise that’s when in 2018 when I went on the freedom of the seas with her and my oldest niece I had a super wonderful time that’s when my cruising journey started I fell in love with it since
we have sailed on 10 different Royal Caribbean ships and what we have learned is that there really isn't a "Best and Worst" but rather, "I liked that ship and how it is run more than this one " opinion. We are not really brand loyal as we have also sailed on NCL and Princess (just went on a 7 day San Fransisco to Victoria BC cruise on the Royal Princess) What we have learned over the years is we dont like the big crowded ships. It is all about choices.
My first cruise experience was on the Explorer of the Seas when I was a teenager years ago. I had a blast. The ship was large but not so big I felt lost and I was able to get where I wanted to go fairly quickly. The negatives I remembered was poor food options, boring buffet. I felt hungry most the time.
I'd think you probably didn't have as expansive of a palate as you do now back then either. I remember in my teens I'm ordering a lot of burgers, chicken, wings, pizza, etc. Half the menus in the past 20 years would have been hard to impress me. My sister went on one with Carnival while we were in college in the late 90s. She complained about getting back on the boat at departure time and being unable to get much of anything to eat, but pizza.
Quantum of the Seas to Alaska August 2022 was my first cruise and I loved it. Probably because the weather was appropriate at each port. Yes there was some port cancellation because of mechanical issues that they couldn’t redo for a few months in 2022. Anyway I booked another old person cruise up the east coast for this year.
We just got Oasis and overall were a little disappointed. The maintenance of the room itself was poor with a broken shower head and leaky seals around the balcony door that allowed whistling sounds during periods of high winds. The ship also just felt quite dated. I don't know when/if they've had a refresh, but it seems like they are overdue. The food services crew was excellent, as were most of the bartenders we met (though at many bars the pours were a little light). But the housekeeping services was quite poor. I think part of it is the move toward doubling the number of rooms and halving the number of services attendants are expected to support. But we were quite disappointed by housekeeping.
My first cruise was this past June on Wonder. 7-Night Western Caribbean. Planning the next one for late winter or Spring 2024. Want to do another Caribbean cruise, but not the same ports, obviously. Ironically, my wife and I came down with COVID, after having avoided getting it, despite our adult children, who live with us still having contracted it. The symptoms were very mild, however, thanks to having been vaccinated and up to date on boosters.
I’ve been on Navigator, Ovation and Oasis…believe it or not, I actually had my lesser experience on Oasis…and it was still fun…the ship was just showing the signs of age.
Ok I was shocked that brilliance was in the bottom 10, it was my first royal Caribbean cruise and I loved it, I was thinking it was in the top 13 royal Caribbean ships, and I’m going on anthem in 2 months, I have heard of reviews about elevators breaking down, the costs being too high, and even problems with kids. However I know it will be a lot of fun.
Being rated “Worst” in an opinion based ranking of people who cruised on RCL ships, is like anyone saying I ate the worst dessert at a 5 Star Restaurant. No real pain.
Couldn't be farther from the truth my Korean family was almost denied boarding because the girl was car sick. No fever, negative covid and stayed she was fine. Nurse exaggerated and said if she had not been there, the girl would have collapsed or worse. We brought this up to guest relations and basically got ignored. I'm ashamed I suggested Royal to spend time with family, with our limited time together. Don't believe influencers who get special treatment or free cruises, as well as those trying to kiss the behinds of Royal to join the ones who get free cruises. Come on people, tell the truth and don't be shills. For those of us that have to spend our own money, we expect it to be the way you all got treated. Not the case at all.
It is nice to see the ships clustering somewhat according to their classes with Quantum and Vision classes being the "worst", Radiance, Voyager and Freedom somewhere in the middle and Oasis at the top. Good video.
I sailed on Navigator in March 2020 and she looked great to me at the time. Honestly I think Mariner and Navigator are the nicest Voyager class in the fleet. I sailed on Mariner twice last time was past November. My opinion was Navigator was a nicer ship than Mariner but the service on Mariner was better than Navigator so they were kinda tied. And by no means am I saying the service on Navigator was bad, just Mariner was slightly better on the service side. Both were better than Explorer but Explorer was still good and I would easily book that ship again too.. The balconies on Navigator and Mariner are also different tham the first three Voyager class ships built they aren't all metal and porthole like they are on Voyager, Explorer and Adventure.
We have sailed on 10 of these, starting in 1997 with the Rhapsody and we're booked on the World next year. We have not been on a quantum class, but I am also surprised at the low ratings for several of those ships. We liked all of them, but enjoyed the Allure quite a lot and did not really like our cruise on the Mariner.
It was amazing to see the demand for cruising even during the pandemic. I know I couldn't wait to get back out there. I couldn't resist buying stock in Royal Caribbean in 2020 and have enjoyed a 300 percent return on that purchase. In my opinion they are the best. They have a variety of ships and they cannot all be the biggest or newest but it all boils down to what you want on your vacation. The Oasis class can seem a little crowded at the main dining for dinner and on sunny days at the pool in peak season. My favorite classes are the Freedom and Voyager class, but I have no problem booking any of their ships as long as its the right time of year and the right Itinerary.
Hi. Have you ever been on the Quantum class ships? I am booked on Brilliance but had a choice between Ovation or Brilliance, but choose Brilliance and I am still contemplating if I made the better choice. Previous ships I have been on are Jewel and Explorer of the seas. I loved Explorer as it had the wrap around promenade, which is my favorite part of a ship.
I have never been on a Quantum class. My friends did just come back from "Odyssey" though. They said it was not their favorite, they like the Symphony better. The Brilliance is an older Radiance class. I liked the Radiance I did Alaska and the Mexican west coast on it. Brilliance does not have the Royal Promenade like Explorer it also doesn't have Flow Rider or ice rink. It all boils down to what you want to do on a ship. If you just want to relax Brilliance will likely be an older crowd and not as many kids. Similar to the Jewel. I think I may go on an older Celebrity Summit cruise next. I am expecting a docile crowd that just wants to relax, peace and quiet. @@jacoblas1371
@@brucee4634Whatever you do, never go on an MSC cruise. I did and it was the worst cruise I have ever been on. The ship was very crowded, everyday, everywhere on the ship, lines and not much deck space to enjoy. Food was very subpar compared to Royal.
Thanks for the info, I don't plan to. Celebrity is a Royal Caribbean company so as a Diamond Plus member I get perks with Celebrity also. So I will try them out. Royal Caribbean will always be my favorite cruise line.@@jacoblas1371
Bit surprised Quantum came last. We cruised her out of Brisbane in February this year and had a great time. It is not our favourite size but there is lots to do. I think the reason it scored low was Alaska. The ship is geared for lots of outdoor fun which is wasted in Alaska. Also I am guessing it is an older demographic who tend to be a lot more picky than young families. Enjoyed your video though.
I was on Quantum of the Seas for my birthday last December from Brisbane and I absolutely LOVED it. The staff were friendly and helpful, there was always lots to do and the food in the Windjammer was great, and plenty of it. The food in the main dining room was a bit sad but I only went twice to that. Embarkation and Disembarkation was all very well done. The only thing was we missed going to Mystery Island but that was not the fault of the ship, just a combination of tragic events. Other than that it was wonderful and I’m looking forward to my next Quantum cruise in April this year, can’t wait 🎉❤
We are booked on Enchantment and we are trying hard to switch and not jump into another situation that’s not for us. We jumped and now we will have to pay a fee to change. I just feel there isn’t enough on offer for kids. We don’t need Icon but we want a little more than Enchantment.
It doesn't surprise me that Quantum of the Seas is on the bottom and now sailing in Australia. We end up getting all the lower class cast offs that the US don't want. Having said that we make the most of it with our friendly lovable "she'll be right mate" attitude ;)
Allure is getting a 100million dollar remodel in the next couple months so if it is all ready number 4 I wonder if it will move up or down the list at all
You had me worried since I'm on Anthem in a few weeks. But once I saw Vision near the bottom I decided people are just grumpy lol. Match expectations to offerings with that one. It's a good ship for what it is.
Me too, we might be on the same cruise! I'm just glad that the Cruise Mummy happens to like Anthem. We've been on Voyager and Allure, and those were great ships too! I was surprised that so many Quantum class ships ranked lower, but I think maybe people are just surprised because they are expecting a ship with the same features as the larger Oasis class ships. Unrealistic expectations and all that.
absolutely correct! I was on Vision of the seas in Jan 2023 and was one of the best cruises I have ever had. People need to research what ships have to offer. I'm 58. Not interested in a water slide, rock climbing, arcades, etc, I want to relax, watch a few good shows and have some great food, Vision was PERFECT So perfect I am booked Sept 9 Baltimore to Bermuda
I'm just wrapping up my Anthem cruise and the only thing I can think is the lack of outdoor space. The outdoor pool deck is small. But when you consider how perfect of a ship it is to go out of a cold port, it makes sense. Days 1, 2 and 7 would be miserable without plenty of spaces to enjoy that are sheltered. She's a lovely ship and there's tonnes to do.
@Rachel G We were definitely on the same cruise. We got back yesterday, and I completely agree with you. The indoor pool area was a godsend at the beginning and end of the cruise, and it also made for a good backup when there was a fouling issue in the main pool and the whole thing needed to be drained.
I just did a Vision cruise and I had three sea days. Although Vision lacks in the bell and whistles, I never ran out of things to do on board and really loved my interactions with fellow cruisers and crew members. This is coming from someone that gets bored easily. They have a great cruise director and friendly crew. Hope you enjoy Vision like I did. Keep an open mind :)
I just got off Odyssey… I got bored after 3 days. There isn’t much to do on the ship. I was disappointed. Harmony/Symphony/Oasis and even Freedom is rank higher.
I’m on a few RC Facebook forums and it’s hilarious what people complain about, so I take peoples reviews with a huge pinch of salt. I’ve sailed on Vision and Brilliance which are towards the bottom of your list and we had a great holidays.
Some of the lower but larger and newer ones (ex: quantum of the seas) might be rated that way from the fact that they are 1. New, so there is still kinks being worked out, and the positive reviews haven’t really had time to set in yet. And 2. The quantum class ships are meant for a thinner age range than a lot of the larger ships nowadays (ex: oasis class ships) which are just massive and can fit so much stuff, another thing supporting the oasis class ships nowadays it the total redesign of the layouts. A lot of times, they will just be a bit larger or something similar, but the oasis class ships have took that to the extreme. essentially splitting the ship in half and having neighborhoods in the middle of the ship.
One Persons review doesn't hold much weight, I am 58 and have been on over 40 cruises. maybe because of my age. I prefer the smaller ships such as enchantment of the seas and vision of the seas (sister ships) for their age, they are very well maintained, relaxing and CHEAP!! . my last cruise was on vision an 11 day cruise SOLO for less than $2k. the cruise was INCREDIBLE (JAN 2023) Already booked on vision again for sept 9 Bermuda
Never ever would I want to cruise on one of those big Monster Ships with so many thousands of people. We just returned from a back2back2back cruise on the Grandeur. It was fantastic. We loved it, being calm and relaxing, just what we needed. I find this whole rating a bit weird, since all the ships and all the passengers can't really be compared. Some people want excitement, glitzer and high fun, others want quiet, relaxing and calm.
Exactly, l will be on rhapsody of the seas in a few days and it is perfect for me as l do feel burnt out from work l just wanna relax with some su n, food and do nothing at all.
Don’t hate an Oasis class until you have done one. I would have been in your camp until I actually went on one. IN NO WAY did it feel any more crowded than a smaller ship. In fact, it often felt that there was less crowds than the 2500 passenger ships I’ve been on.
Best and worst are terms too extreme, popular and less popular might be a more fair comparison. Although I appreciate your work, I do agree with you that the cruise experience is what you make of it. Take advantage of the services offered. I've never experienced a bad Royal cruise.
My wife and I are researching for our first cruise and we’ve been flip flopping between Mariner and Harmony. I thought this video would easily settle the debate but unfortunately they are right there together! I like Harmony for all the extra things to do but my wife is preferring Mariner because it looks like it would be less crowded and more laid back.
more people on a ship doesn't necessarily = more crowding. In fact, Harmony felt less crowded than Independence to me. Mariner is a great ship. We have been on her twice and going again in August and again in October. Either ship you mention are fantastic and you will have a great time either way. Enjoy!
Been on 16 cruises with RC. Our cruise on Liberty was so bad I threatened to never return to RC. Liberty was in such bad shape, the crew were poorly trained and lied to us on a regular basis. When I wrote my critique I started with “consider this a break up letter!”
I'm not surprised by the Quantum Class scoring so low. I was not a huge fan of Anthem. The main issue with Quantum class is they were just too crowded felt cramped. The other issue is the only real great outdoor spots on the ship is on the pool deck. The promenade deck doesn't wrap nicely around the ship like other ship designs. I get those ships were designed with cold weather in mind. But the lack of oceanviews on Quantum class just made you feel like RCL forgot about the ocean. Which is why I cruise! To throw Anthem a bone though she was pretty and the solarium and staterooms were great. But to give an example I just booked a New England Cruise and had a choice between Anthem and Liberty both sailing around the same timeframe. I chose Liberty. All the other ships I like and have been cruising since 97 and the Quantum Class is the only class I try to avoid if I can. And no doubt Voyager Class is the sweet spot in terms of both size and passengers. Big ship amenities without being too crowded. That being said though I slammed quantum class the worst thing than quantum class is no cruise at all.
Some people just go on cruises to relax and go to remote locations. We all don't want bells, whistles, ignorant crowds, screaming kids. All take the older ships any day of the week, Vision of the seas is by far my favorites in the fleet. Yeah it's older and smaller, but that's its charm, it's still a beautiful ship, and laid out perfectly. Went on a new one, never again.
Been on Alure twice and loved. But symphony was the best so far..can't wait for Icon on May 25..really excited about this new ship..Also just back from 2 weeks cruise on msc seascape _ don't enjoy a all. Completely failure, a least for me..I just stick with Royal.
What we have found after 17 RCL cruises the point in time in which you are on a particular ship can make a big difference. Crews change, how any area of the ship operates at any given time changes, staff, including CEOs etc. change and policies change. This does not even get into food which is so dependant on suppliers and areas of the world a ship is in and is highly subjective. We've been on every class RCL has and our like or dislike of any ship usually comes down to the crew. We've had great and we've had not so great. Most have been outstanding (only one time were we disappointed in the crew) and it's why we never cruise any other company! NEVER pick an RCL ship based on a review! You just may miss the best cruise you'll ever have!
I was on Quantum last year by far that IS NOT THE WORST ship!!! Not sure why it's rated at the bottom but totally DISAGREE!!! We loved everything about it!! Had so much to do & The crew was fantastic. I went on Allure when it first came out back in 2011, also a great ship!!! We are on Icon next year can't wait...My goal is to go on every ship in Royal's class- Been on Vision way back 1997, it was a fun cruise as well.
Hi Roy, I collated all the review scores across the main review platforms. Seems people give the newer ships higher scores on the whole. That doesn’t necessarily match my personal opinion and I love some of the older ships.
@@cruisemummy Yes, that's my sense. You've provided a great mainstream view of what's "best" but it's not going to fit for all of us. I think it's important to present that context. Otherwise, it comes across as "Here's what's best" as if it were an objective measurement. Personally, I detest the glitzy style of many cruise ships, including the one I'm booked on for September. But then I also detest Las Vegas and, when I've been there for conferences, have felt a need to escape after a day or three. I’ve actively avoided cruises for most of my life. Now, at age 60, I’m signed up for my first one, largely because my wife and I have a son with a health condition that prevents the kind of travel I most enjoy, which is to far off places where English isn’t spoken -- without any sort of solid plan for where I’m going to lay my head for the night or find my next meal. In other words, total adventure. I've been invited into people's homes and lives. For me, that's travel. We’ll be on Ovation of the Seas. Hopefully it will be fun. If nothing else, I hope my son will love it and I’ll love his enthusiasm. Plus, who doesn't love eating? There will be tons to eat. I'll try snails for the first time. So there's that. :0) We booked a balcony to ensure we’re not stuck on deck or in parts of the ship that are crowded or unappealing. If nothing else, we’ll have our cabin and our balcony and a view of Alaska.
9/2023 cruised Adventure of The Sea. My first opinion was what idiot designed this ship layout? Second thought if I wanted to use my smart phone this much I would have stayed home.
Kinda like ranking the worst 4 star restaurants in New York City. You are still at a 4 star restaurant. I'm going on Grandeur soon, ranked I think 22 in your list. I've watched videos and it looks similar enough to Oasis, which I've done before, which you have at number 5.
Quantum was horrible. We were on her just three weeks ago. Very disappointed there was no beautiful main dining room, just two small dark restaurants , people squashed in and the food was very mediocre. Are they doing without a main dining room hoping more people will visit the paying restaurants, if so it won’t work, people simply eat at the windjammer instead. Having said that the desserts were ridiculously tiny, domino sized slices of cake with fake cream, ugh, what’s happened. I now choose Celebrity over RCC, They have lost us now.
People's MDR concerns crack me up. Even for the price, you're not paying for much more than a chain sit down restaurant in price in the States. So expecting 4/5 star dining for roughly $12-15 USD a meal is silly. Plus it's an MDR like ALL cruise ships. It's mass produced. If you want the top quality food you have to pay extra and do specialty. I'd say you need to look at the number of reviews for each ship. Wonder has so few in comparison to others. Also the fact is most people write nothing when happy and complain when upset. It's why you should take ALL reviews with a grain of salt.
This is why you can't trust reviews. You don't know people's motivations. It may have nothing to do with the ship. As Matt from Royal Caribbean Blog always says there is not a bad ship in the fleet. Not every ship is designed for every passenger. Make sure you do your research to ensure the ship you're booking has the amenities and venues you want. Not every ship has waterslides, etc. And even on the "best" of ships, you can have a bad experience. A noisy neighbor, rough seas, missed port, food you don't like, etc. And, not all complaints are the cruise line's fault. This video is for entertainment purposes only. Don't base your cruise planning on this. It's an interesting anecdote, but not really true.
Quantum of the Seas - WORSE Ship ever!!! - It wasn’t about the excursion it’s more about: - Ship design: Everyone is just channeled into 1 narrow central strip where the shops are giving a cramped atmosphere - food: the quality has slipped to below that of carnival cruise, but they charged premium - menu items: MDR menu was the same as the Windjammer buffet, just served on a plate. Why bother? Royal Night: No lobster tail to be seen. half the menu was just a repeat of what was offered on French and British night. - crowds: it’s a bigger ship but it’s full of cabins. Staff has problems handling the bigger crowds. It’s always chaos trying to get seatings in the dining room or any where - quiet spaces: hardly any, 4 music venues blasting their tunes into the promenade because they are so close to one another. Also why is the library next to 270 theatre? It’s never quiet because there’s always events on there - Staffing: You can see there’s less staff, who are clearly over worked and tired. I’ve booked a $50 airport transfer, requesting a departure time ONLY to be told I can’t change it. A “too bad so sad” attitude to a service that I paid for. And there was a delay and my transfer ended up leaving 10min before my requested time anyway. - Cleanliness: You can see in public spaces that the cleanliness standards have slipped. Also 7 day cruise, no towel change? That’s the same policy as a 3 star road-side motel. Has Royal Caribbean standard slipped this low? If so, how can you justify charging this price? I get the same level on a Carnival or P&O cruise.
I would have rated Anthem of the Seas a lot lower. Me and my partner went on for our honeymoon last year. And compared to independence it was not very nice and too many children. Parents were not looking after their children. And staff on board ship were not very good
I also went on Anthem with kids in school holidays last year. We liked it but agree it wouldn’t have been the best for a honeymoon with so many kids on board.
@@cruisemummy I would have put anthem of the seas at 24. Have you tried arvia. Going on iona next year wondered if their was any difference in the 2. As the suites are conservatory suite

This is a general question regarding all of RCI's ships: WHY is Starbucks and Ben and Jerry's the only options available? I love my coffee, but will NOT spend a dime on either of these vendors on any RC ship, as I am offended by both. Both companies were woke before it was so fashionable and Starbucks has a history of abusing the policing agencies in the cities where they are located, (not to mention, their coffee is swill!), and B and J's spends more time preaching to us then selling their product. There are other, better, coffee and ice cream companies out there and I wonder why you haven't chosen one of them? I love RCI and I am "royal loyal", but will NEVER spend ANY money on these companies' products.

We sailed Vision and loved it. Was our first cruise many years ago. Loved most of all was it really is more for adults. Don't be afraid of this ship.
My wife and I sailed on Radiance in 2019 and Ovation in 2024. Both were great in their own ways.
I've been on Explorer of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas, two different classes of ships and loved both of them.
we have sailed on 10 different Royal Caribbean ships and what we have learned is that there really isn't a "Best and Worst" but rather, "I liked that ship and how it is run more than this one " opinion. We are not really brand loyal as we have also sailed on NCL and Princess (just went on a 7 day San Fransisco to Victoria BC cruise on the Royal Princess) What we have learned over the years is we dont like the big crowded ships. It is all about choices.
Same been on wonder it was a great ship, but had a great time on liberty a month before.
Thank you for doing the research.
Oh wow, can’t say I’ve ever felt hungry on a cruise, what a shame! Seems like they’ve improved the buffets since then.
@@davidfence6939 maybe true for some but I’ve always had a more refined pallet. I was turned off by most of the buffet options.
Depends what you want! I really don’t want to go on one of the huge mega ships, they are just too big.
very excited for adventure of the seas trip this december. any tips?
I loved Brilliance too she was my first Royal Cruise I would go on her anytime
Being rated “Worst” in an opinion based ranking of people who cruised on RCL ships, is like anyone saying I ate the worst dessert at a 5 Star Restaurant. No real pain.
I agree, they’re all good 🥰
Couldn't be farther from the truth my Korean family was almost denied boarding because the girl was car sick.
This is going to be my first cruise in Royal Caribbean so I’m looking for reviews my first time on a cruise was carnival
It is nice to see the ships clustering somewhat according to their classes with Quantum and Vision classes being the "worst", Radiance, Voyager and Freedom somewhere in the middle and Oasis at the top. Good video.
Hi.I sailed with Navigator of the Seas many years ago and loved it. But maybe it hasn't aged that well?
I have been on the navigator
Navigator is a wonderful ship
I really loved independence of the seas, but I'm really excited for our Alaskan cruise on ovation of the seas in September!
Is this only for UK or any for USA?
I was very surprised at the Ovation of the Seas. We were on her in Alaska last September and loved the ship.
Oh, you’ve out the fear into me as I’m cruising on 18th (Rhapsody of the Seas) in a few weeks out of Israel - wish me luck…!!
Sure you’ll be fine. Will look forward to your video 👍
Explorer of the seas just got a renovation and I haven’t read any negative reviews to put it on the worse ships.
I have been on 50 cruises. Voyager is one that I cancelled our other bookings on it.
Allure is getting a 100million dollar remodel in the next couple months so if it is all ready number 4 I wonder if it will move up or down the list at all
I just came from oasis of the seas we had a balcony the room is so tiny I can't even open my suitcase
I'm 58. Not interested in a water slide, rock climbing, arcades, etc, I want to relax, watch a few good shows and have some great food, Vision was PERFECT
So perfect I am booked Sept 9 Baltimore to Bermuda
@@James670 Oh I heard about that from someone I was chatting with in the solarium hot tub 🤣
Great video! I'm going on Vision of the Seas and already know to bring a few books because there's really nothing to do on our 5 sea days.
Hope you enjoy it!
Keep an open mind :)
you will be amazed at how much there is to actually do. the crew does a great job with onboard activities.
I just got off Odyssey… I got bored after 3 days. There isn’t much to do on the ship. I was disappointed. Harmony/Symphony/Oasis and even Freedom is rank higher.
Can you make a video like this but u rerank them based on your opinion?
I prefer the smaller ships such as enchantment of the seas and vision of the seas (sister ships)
for their age, they are very well maintained, relaxing and CHEAP!! . my last cruise was on vision an 11 day cruise SOLO for less than $2k. the cruise was INCREDIBLE (JAN 2023) Already booked on vision again for sept 9 Bermuda
Right now I’m on a 8 night cruise on the Voyage of the seas
How was it
Never ever would I want to cruise on one of those big Monster Ships with so many thousands of people.
I agree with the Wonder of the Seas😊
My wife and I are researching for our first cruise and we’ve been flip flopping between Mariner and Harmony. I thought this video would easily settle the debate but unfortunately they are right there together! I like Harmony for all the extra things to do but my wife is preferring Mariner because it looks like it would be less crowded and more laid back.
more people on a ship doesn't necessarily = more crowding. In fact, Harmony felt less crowded than Independence to me. Mariner is a great ship. We have been on her twice and going again in August and again in October. Either ship you mention are fantastic and you will have a great time either way. Enjoy!
Just got off Mariner and it was amazing the staff made it so wonderful as well. We cried when leaving with the staff. Staff became like family.
Been on 16 cruises with RC. Our cruise on Liberty was so bad I threatened to never return to RC. Liberty was in such bad shape, the crew were poorly trained and lied to us on a regular basis. When I wrote my critique I started with “consider this a break up letter!”
What about Jewel of the sea?
Was on Grandure o
Did you like it?
@Cruise Mummy I loved it also on Allure loved that too
I'm not surprised by the Quantum Class scoring so low.
Interesting ... Out of the three ships I've sailed (Ovation, Vision and Radiance), I enjoyed Ovation the most but all three RCL sailings were amazing.
@madchatteress
Hi, how would you compare radiance with Quantum class?
Spectrum of the seas, bottom 2nd spot, that’s why it is station in Asia! 😮
Went on a new one, never again.
at least the ship we are going on as our first royal Caribbean cruise ship being ovation of the seas in november is mid range :)
Been on Alure twice and loved. But symphony was the best so far..can't wait for Icon on May 25..really excited about this new ship..Also just back from 2 weeks cruise on msc seascape _ don't enjoy a all. Completely failure, a least for me..I just stick with Royal.
Surprised that Allure rated ahead of the Oasis. I hear the opposite from cruisers.
I hate the huge ships, to big to many people, any cruise with more then 3k passengers is too big in my opinion!
These ratings seems utterly arbitrary except for a bias toward newer and glitzier. Which is fine as an opinion but it’s by no means objective truth.
We booked a balcony to ensure we’re not stuck on deck or in parts of the ship that are crowded or unappealing. If nothing else, we’ll have our cabin and our balcony and a view of Alaska.
On mariner of the seas
I only wonder how they can be refitted to house ppl after shtf.
Typical the low ranking ships are the ones departing from Australia.Send us some great ships please and a variety of classes!
I wanted to try a smaller ship and did the grandeur ……😂that was definitely the worst.
Adventure of the seas?
I agree.
- It wasn’t about the excursion it’s more about:
- Ship design: Everyone is just channeled into 1 narrow central strip where the shops are giving a cramped atmosphere
- food: the quality has slipped to below that of carnival cruise, but they charged premium
- menu items: MDR menu was the same as the Windjammer buffet, just served on a plate. Why bother?
Royal Night: No lobster tail to be seen. half the menu was just a repeat of what was offered on French and British night.
- crowds: it’s a bigger ship but it’s full of cabins. Staff has problems handling the bigger crowds. It’s always chaos trying to get seatings in the dining room or any where
- quiet spaces: hardly any, 4 music venues blasting their tunes into the promenade because they are so close to one another. Also why is the library next to 270 theatre? It’s never quiet because there’s always events on there
- Staffing: You can see there’s less staff, who are clearly over worked and tired.

Vision of the seas ist the worst
Definitely Allure of the Seas is the worst in the class and maybe the worst of all in the company 🤮
Thank you so much for this presentation.
What about Ovation of the seas?
