Thanks for the podcast on this topic! I want to add the stiffness is also largely created by the fascial matrix. And that breathing is primary in core support.
When I first heard of hollowing, I thought it was Abdominal vacuum haha. I prefer to use the teaching point - tucking pelvis under so it is easier for people to understand
Both are actually flawed tecquniqes , and its one of the main flaws of NASM and OPT . resseerarch in a Lobatory and what happens in the real world . The core is a reflexive muscle group that we should not attempt using reductionist Body Building failed Philisophy to Stabilizers. If you need to use things like drawing in in the beginng to get people to realize how thier TVA should feel and what it does that is reasonable . The Problem is when you crerate that as a crutch for lack of effective Movement screening that better Sceens beyond merely OHS . Instead you need to find out why TVA and other core muscles are not working correctely , this is ususally caused by lack of feedback through the proprioceptors ,like Ground reraction forces through the heels and grip along with proper breathing . Its absurd to think that people 50 years ago needed to consciously draw in their navels before lifting something heavy . Just like we didnt need gyms 100 years ago because we werent overloaded by the modern conviences that shut off or Proprioceptors and stablizers.
You really have a problem with life, don't you...If NASM is supposedly so bad, what organization do you propose is better? I noticed on at least one video you actually had something complimentary to say.

You should make a video, it’s not a radio
