- this was a birthday gift for my wife. I'm glad she loves it. Click on the link below to see what we ended up using this for. We decided to make it more functional • gothic skeleton stairc...
Starry Night is a nice touch for background 👍
I was worried it was going to be too bright and colorful, but in the end, it was the right choice
Your wife’s reaction at the end is exactly what I was hoping for : shocked, impressed and happy! Hope she had a great birthday 🎉
Yes, she did.
Thank you
Love this piece. It is very cool! Thanks for showing all the detail in the construction🤓
Geee-ma-kneee! That turned out flabergastingly cool. I love the on-the-fly engineering you did throughout the project, from bending and securing the armature wire to retrofitting the battery switch to improvising the additional framing "moulding" that widened your frame. This was really well done and thoroughly documented. I hope you have a successful channel going forward! You've got the creativity and ingenuity, that's for damn sure.
There were some challenges for sure. Thank you
Coolest husband award! What an awesome gift!
I have a 6 foot skeleton and a 3 foot skeleton that I put in the driver's side of my Jeep during Halloween. I may have to use the small one and try this. Cool!
Just Wooooww!!!!
It's amazingly well done
Thank you to share
Awesome build. Really love how it came out
Thank you
Absolutely beautiful work. I really liked it when I first saw it, but now I admire all of the work and engineering involved. Great job.
Yhank you.
The arm was a challenge for sure
@@Paulsprops-dc4mt Worth it though.
RUclips just recommended me your channel. Absolutely stunning work. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity.
Thank you.
Loving it, you got him coming out of a copy of Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night Painting...
Thank you.
Its funny because i was looking for something different, more of a dark forest but couldn't find anything. I came across this poster at the mall and said this will have to do. I think it was a good decision.
This is so cool. I love the painting you chose because it is one we all recognize. I also think it is a more "classy" Halloween decoration, not blood and gore. Great job!
Thank you.
The picture was by accident. I couldn't find what i was looking for. And i found that. Ended up being a good decision.
Your 3D picture looks awesome. Great job... thank you for sharing your construction techniques.
You're welcome
Cool. I like how its almost like your looking at rudimentary CGI but its real. Kinda cool.
Outstanding idea and make, bruddah!!! Im gonna give this one a go myself with a few tweaks of my own but , WOW !!!! Score !!! Im gonna try to find one of those velvet paintings or create my own to have him tear thru.

Great job !! It looks amazing plus loved watching all the work you put into it to make it come to life ! Thank you
Thank you
Algorithm brought me here! This is sooooo cool! Im glad your wife likes it. Going to subscribe and start watching your other vids.
Thank you. I plan on others like this. Plus my Halloween style props that i like to build
Now just need to build a pneumatic rack that mounts to wall and the skeleton can burst through the painting at precise times for maximum scare and then resets back into the painting
Saw this on my RUclips stream and had to watch it. Love what you created and thank you for sharing how you made it. I hope to make one this yr. If you have more halloween on your channel I'll definitely be checking out the rest. Thank you for sharing again
Thank you.
It is a new page. I have 12 videos at this time, but i will be making much more. As I make stuff for Halloween and other items like this one.
Turned out freakin sweet
I appreciate it.
I always loved the idea.Happy to see someone do this.Subbed and waiting for more 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
I fo have a couple other ones im planning on making. I just got to find the items to make them
You give the best presents!
That's a fantastic prop build... and it was amazing! What a wonderful gift!!! I'm a new sub to your channel, So what I'd like to do is ask a few questions about the choices: I'm curious why you didn't choose to dry brush the skelly or corpse it a bit. Also I find that wood stains work a treat at getting the colors, the bronze color looks more like you needed some orange, I've used a couple of minwax stains to get a desired effect, one is too orange I put that on first and then use another one like a walnut to dull it down and I can get that variated effect like the picture frame.
I've a fellow home haunter... I do a small garage/yard walk through and you can see my videos on my channel. All my stuff is mostly repurposed props, I program Arduinos to actuate the pneumatics, lighting, sound, etc. I will try to put more videos out, but I barely get the yearly walk throughs, so that has to suffice for now.
I'll have to say you are a lucky man to find a wife that adores a haunted picture for her birthday! I hope one day to find one, and for sure that's going to be my dating criteria: "Do you like Halloween"? LOL... Hey, I was great discovering your channel. Good stuff!
Thank you,
I did the spray on the skeleton because I had to cover the old green paint. And once it was painted, i liked the way it looked, so i left it alone. Im one of the people that if i play with something too much trying to get a specific look, i mess it up and have to start over. The trim i just wanted it to match the skeleton to help tie the two parts together because i wasn't sure if i was going to be able to get it just right. I have a wonderful and supportive wife. She encourages me to build and make stuff. Might sound cheesy, but i hit all the right numbers on the lottery with her.
I do like Halloween. My family and i have been doing Halloween haunted houses and cemetery display for almost 40 years now. It is something my mom started, and we've just been doing it ever since. On this page, you'll see a few things I've done for Halloween. I also just started this page. And im still building it. I have another page called Bluedakota80 where i have my other stuff, but it seemed that that page wasn't doing so well, being that i started it in 2011.
Plus, that other page has a mixture of different things that i like to make, so it's not just one type of thing. If you like Ghostbusters, you should check out my ecto-1 build that's on that page. I plan on making all kinds of how-to videos on this page and showing my displays. What i like to do is show others how you can make really cool props for your display cheaply and easily. With just average stuff you can find anywhere. I had someone ask me to show how i did my shadow box i did for my 2021 cemetery display, so i will be making that very soon.
What is the name of your channel? Would like to check it out.
This is fabulous!!!!! I love it!!!!! I definitely want to try this!!!! I hope I have the skill!!!!
You should be able to make this. Outside of the arm being the most challenging part, most of it was pretty straightforward. If you have any questions, let me know. I'lll try to help.
Wow epic masterpiece this is very well done the entire make is absolutely extremely epic love how you got the skeleton popping out of Vincent Van Gogh's Tower painting looks very haunted like and crypt like overall I really love your creation
I appreciate it, Thank you.
@@Paulsprops-dc4mt Your very much welcome 🙂✨
Loved the step by step tutorial. It turned out amazing! Thanks so much for sharing❤
Good stuff mate, very cool..
maybe add an oil wash over that gold trim to weather it it down a bit, but yeah well done..
Love this ! You could have used gold metallic wax like Rub N Buff or gold wood metallic wax for furniture to lightly highlight the frame to match the skeleton more. Just a tip for future reference because I see you do a lot of this kind of thing.
Thank you for the tip. I'll try that in the future
Gorgeous!
You did amazing. I love it
Thank you.
This looks GREAT!
Awesome! Gonna try it this year!!
Extremely well done. Loved it.
Thank you
Brilliant.
Great idea, I might try to make one...thanks for sharing!
You're welcome
Amazing! I’m definitely gonna try to make one. Thanks for sharing!!! ❤❤❤🎉💀👻
If you have any questions, let me know.
Excellent 3 d design, i would like to see HELLRAZER in one of these frames ,maybe i will do one myself. Scare the crap out of my Grand kids..he he he😊
Would be awesome. Maybe something i can put together in the near future.
Awesome spooky prop 🖤💀🧟♂️🎃
Looks Awesome!!!
Very nice.
Looks awesome! 👍
woah! that looks great! well done!! ^w^
Thank you
I love it.
Thank you.
That van Gogh painting makes the piece more valuable , modern day art , its very nice .😀😀😀😈😈😈😈😉💀💀💀
That was a total accident. I was looking for something different but couldn't find anything, so i found that. Feel it was a good decision

Hi looks fantastic sent the video to my friend Wanda she loves this she is Wanda’s blessed Creations ,and I am Art by me.
Thank you. Are those your RUclips pages?
@@Paulsprops-dc4mt Art by me is my page the other in Wanda .we both enjoyed it .
Thank you. I have others that i want to make. There are a couple of ideas that my wife and i are thinking of.
imagine if he took the motors and guts out of a billy the big mouth bass and a raspberry pie and made the mouth talk
That would have been interesting. Something for me to consider on one in the future.
Very cool!
This is beautiful 💙
Thank you
Maybe you could use a laser level to illuminate the cutting plane of the skeleton and use a marker to trace it.
That would have made it easier. But that would have taken the fun out of it 😆.
32:59 you should have painted it gold at first then did a black wash over the entire surface to bring the brightness down to more of an antiquated look similar to the frame you chose...PS love the final outcome bro and kinda want to make one myself but instead of the skeleton holding a lamp it'll be holding a glowing energy weapon or power sword, the blueprint should be fun to plan out 😊
I was concerned that if i went to dark, it wouldn't show up as well. The light isn't super bright, and the darker i go, the less it would show. It was a compromise. Sounds like what you are planning going to look really cool. Hope this helps you along the way. If you have any questions, let me know.
@Paulsprops-dc4mt thanks for the advice, I'll definitely contact you whenever I run into anything that another perspective would help me to continue moving forward, I'm thinking i might use either strip lighting or individual LEDs strategically placed for either a pulsating effect or sliding effect from one point to another (from base to tip of sword or from the front tip to back of the shaft of the energy weapon)
If you need to contact me with any questions, send me a message on messenger Paul Soffe
Love it ❤👍👍👍🤟
How very very cool
Great work 🏴☠️
Thank you
Very cool
👍👍 this is very cool ☺️
That is sick. I want that
Amazing 👍👍🏽👍🏻
COOL MAN!
great
I might do this but on a smaller scale
Amazing job.... Wawww
Thank you
WOW!!
Awesome I seen someone make one of a skeleton holding a candle the candle was On timer so it'll turn on enough by itself.❤ would you make one of those.
Im planning on making a couple of different ones.
@@Paulsprops-dc4mt That would be awesome they also use clear silicone to put black weed hair on the pirate. But yours came out amazing
Thank you
That's cool!
Where did you get the skeleton from? Are they cement, plastic, polyurethane acrylic?
Just the plastic ones sold at Home Depot or Lowes
Jolley Roger
Cool 😎👍
¡¡¡WOW!!! AMAZING PROPSKELLETON HEY MEN YOU ARE SO CRIATIVE FANTASTIC CONGRATULATIONS DOU YOU CAN MAKE IT PROP AT WITCH FLY OR WITCH WITH CALDROM
Are you asking if i could show making a caldron creep? Where it looks like a witch is stirring a pot.
THANKS FRIEND ONE PROP TO BE A ONE WITCH FLYING AND ANOTHER PROP TO BE ONE WITCH OUT LIKE A SLEKELLETON FOR THIS VIDEO JUST CHANGE THE SKELLETON FOR A WITCH DOU YOU UNDERSTAND ME
I think i have an idea of what you are saying. Make the same prop just make it look like a witch flying through a picture. Is that what you mean?
Quick tip, if you want people to stick around until the end of your video...... Do not show the finished product in the beginning of your video.
It just blows my mind that people don't understand this concept. Don't get me wrong, this thing is absolutely dope and I'm sure your craftsmanship is second to none, but I've seen the finished product there is no curiosity of how it looks in the end so I don't really feel the need to stick around and watch the process.
Just a little constructive criticism.
Take care, thumbs up for the algorithm because I believe in supporting artists, but I'm not sticking around and watching the video.
Sorry bud.
I did that because i noticed people weren't watching the whole video anyway. So i put it first so you can see it, and if you're curious enough to see how i made it, you would have to watch the video, or you wouldn't see the construction of it. Plus, it's on the cover photo. If i did did that you wouldn't even click on it in the first place. The average watch time is only a couple of minutes unless it really captures your interest. So if i start with me working on it unless you skip to the end, you would never get past the first five minutes. It's a catch 22. Thank you for your feedback.
Do you realize you destroyed a 30 million dollar panting by Vincent Vango? Sickening
Just kidding. I know it was only 20 million 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was an 8 dollar poster from the FYE store in the mall. I wouldn't destroy a real painting.
Very cool
