The Frankie by Tibbs is the original . Colaba , there's a corner shop of Tibbs Frankie . We used to go from Wadala to Colaba just to eat Frankie with Goldspot . Was out of this world .. I am actually salivating. It was spicy, tangy and little sweet too , with just onion added to the chicken pieces wutha little gravy , and a masala , which was tibbs secret . And that gravy would ooze out from the side of the bite .. 😋😋🤤🤤 and invariably fall on the shirt ..
Tibbs Frankie is the OG of all rolls here - would go to the Linking Road outlet (just before McDonald's) back in the day with my cousins... Not sure if it's still there now 😅
I am from the "Frankie" gen, the Tibbs one!! We used to walk to school through the bye lanes of J B nagar (Charat Singh colony) in Chakala bypassing the Tibbs bungalow and factory... the aroma the taste is unfortunately gone. Anyways, loved your show and made me nostalgic, thank you!!
The taste of Hearsch isn't the same. They are constantly increasing prices and the quantity of meat in their rolls and puffs have decreased. The chicken mayo roll used to have a salad leaf slice 30 years ago, the chicken pieces were chunks back then which is now shredded chicken. I've also discussed this with the owner there once but haven't seen them keen on going back to what they were. I'm sure they are making more profits now but I'm sure there is a dip in footfalls. Honestly the mutton roll you just opened didn't have any meat or even kheema in it. They are just making a paste of all meat and using it as a spread on their rolls and buns and pavs. Yeah, the Burger's still come with the wafers and the only sku that's still almost the same as before
💯 agree. Chicken roll was a go to. I live two stations away and the roll back then was worth it. The only thing redeeming them now is their chicken burger and puffs/samosa where they haven't cut corners although the price has gone up.
Hearsch bakery rolls, burgers were once upon a time very good. Another place to suggest u guys would be the A 1 bakery somewhere on hill road itself. Haven't visited Shrees Frankie or Kusum 😁 Mohit actually you were to lenient of giving the scores, I agree with Prachi...😂😂😂 Btw loved the episode. Thanks for the recommendations Mohit. 👍😁
As a kid who grew up in Mahim, Shree frankies and Hearsch was a part of my childhood. Shree is still the same in terms of quality, taste and VFM but you can't say the same for Hearsch. They're more pricy which I wont mind but they've even compromised with ingredients though subtly. Their famous chicken mayo roll has seen the quantity of chicken reducing and most recently they stopped putting romaine lettuce in it. Burger patty is slightly thinner and that mutton roll was a joke for ₹114 they're charging with a butter like layer off mutton 😂.
Prachi's review points were bang on, Genuine! Mohit , we give you an extra edge because you were the host; so yeah, your review was straight from the heart🎉 but in toto, nicely presented 😊👍🏻. Pao, zyada hai was pun, Prachi took it as value addition😃
U guys should show bihari foods also. It's not shown by lot of bloggers or foodies. Bihari food is really good. Mutton curry is to die for. Unique Sweets and litti chokha..etc
I love kunal sir but i think u guys can also be great for local food tour in bihar or any state. Champaran is too overhyped to be honest. Local food of bihar and also mutton from different places or someone's house will be awesome.@@KhaaneMeinKyaHai
Mohit & Prachi, I have 1 question: Is this J Hearsch bakery some where near Veronica's cafe? I know Veronica's I also know Mehboob studios, I know Kobe Sizzlers outlet. In the video I saw they have veg puffs & burgers too so I will visit them soon. A small advise to you both. Next time when you cover any joints please start with veg & if that outlet serves veg & non-veg both ask them if they prepare it separately because I am hardcore veg & we avoid eating at places were non veg is also served unless preparations are done separately. I hope you know what I mean. Please cover joints / outlets as per your instinct & wish, we trust you. Can you both go back to same places & tell us their veg preparations also? Prachi, next time for a change show us how good you are at cooking Nagesh's favourite dishes. I am sure you must be a good cook. I requested this after you both covered Goa. Mohit, after watching this video Nagesh must be saying "abe tu hota kaun meri wife ko surprise karne wala" hahaaha

Once upon a time *Faasso's roll* was one of the tastiest rolls like chicken, mutton and tofu. Woh bolte hai na... दुर्बुद्धी सूचती हैं तो विनाश करती हैं वैसा उनका business हो गया. For the business expansion they lost the taste as well as marketing.
