Best boring bar ever made. Used one/multiple of them for 45 years. $1500 is a steal. You can get that wheel from Goodson. The term Cat Paws is WWII vernacular. The original parts list called them “centering shoes.” My Dad called them Cats Paws as well. These bars were developed to save the honing step in WWII engines for jeeps, tanks, airplanes, etc. the finish they produce on a fine cut allowed to save thousands of hours honing. No other boring bar ever had these centering shows to actually follow all the way down. Huge advantage.

I bought an 777S with a jug boring table, a block jig, and the tool kit for about the same price - maybe a tad less - earlier this year. Mine has no issues that I can see but I have yet to use it. I will say that I have seen people ask $4K but they are not actually selling these for $4K. Big difference. Best of luck with it.
