50 Years Today: NBC 10's golden anniversary special (July 10, 1999)

As WJAR gets ready to mark 75 years on the air, let's take a look back at how we celebrated our big golden anniversary in 1999.
Harkening back to our 10th anniversary bash in downtown Providence, we threw a block party at the skating center and Waterplace Park.
Thousands of viewers turned out to mingle with their favorite TV personalities.
NBC 10's Patrice Wood and Doug White hosted our live special, "50 Years Today."
The party featured swing dancing to a live band.
