I mean genshin has about 4 weapons and about 7 elemental connections... it's not bad... just too focused on "Character's skills" which is expected of a gacha game... I'm pretty sure it will. While other platforms also bring in a lot of cash mobile is a huge part. Personally I don't think that this is a good thing. It holds the game back and nowadays every mobile game, apart from a select few ports and casual games, is gacha. For example Genshin could be so much more. There's a AAA game budget behind that game. It could be a game in which characters have different skills and I'm sure that Mihoyo has workers who'd be skilled enough for implementing a more complex system. Then there are also the graphics. While I wouldn't consider them bad they convince mainly through their artstyle. There are some truly atrocious textures and even games 10 years ago looked better. Or the rain. Take a look at how modern AAA titles handle rain! And then there's the polygon count. They can't design more detailed and complex enemies due to that. Are their designs bad? No. Definitely not. But they already had to redesign stuff in the past in order to make it run on phones. Then there's the self shadowing of the characters. Right now it's pretty much faked. However better lighting and shadowing could really improve the visuals. In general the characters are pretty static. The weather has no influence, they don't get wet and no snow lands on them. Also cloth physics could be really beneficial. Amongst all those things the forced simplification of the gameplay is imo the biggest downside.

Honkai money is what created genshin and now genshin money helps develop ZZZ and star rail while also maintaining its own development costs as well as honkai impact 3rd's. And then sometimes they'll occasionally use some of their revenue to build a school for children or something. Some people genuinely just don't wanna give Hoyo credit cause they're mad that genshin doesn't give them what they want all the time.

I'm honestly so excited for this game. ZZZ seems like it'll be fun. I love when games let you control every individual movement, when you master the controls it feels so rewarding. Easily smithing enemies with chained attacks you get to control every single action of is one of the best feelings in games.
I too hope this game gets an EN dub by the time it releases officially. My reading comprehension has gone downhill ever since college ended and I prefer to have someone read dialogue while I read it in my head or I read it out loud myself if there's no option for voices. CN and JP voice acting is superb but they're just like sound effects to me now

This looks amazing, the gameplay loop looks really skill focused which is sure to keep people coming back. The art style is amazing, I haven't seen anything this with this much flavor since Jet Set Radio Future.

Slight point to be made, the glitchy movement is actually only on the unlimited FPS option. 60fps is a lot smoother. Guessing the unlimited option's a PC thing and they just haven't optimised it properly, more kept it there as proof of concept for now.
Out of the 12 characters; Aokaku, Billy and Anby have the best designs (in my opinion. Some of the others are kinda cheesy). But *Aokaku is definitely my favorite out of the bunch ♡* she’s so unique & cute. Soo I’m _really_ hoping that she’ll be playable from the start & isn’t a special gatcha character. I wish Jei actually used Aokaku at least once in this video lol but ah well…I’ll just look her up

Hoyo music and character design is some of the best in the business. Genshin in particular shows this. They managed to make lewd character outifits in Honkai that are also beautiful at the same time
You can tell the persona in this game. I think the icons means the type of damage they got. With miyabi would be the first is slash damage(the swirling/swish) and ice (the star/ snow flake?) The glove would mean blunt. And the bullet would mean gun. And the other one on Nicole would be blast damage.
One thing that i saw in this game is the nice detail where, characters with sword actually holster their weapons properly. I'm so sick of seeing games where your weapon just randomly floats on your back after a fight.
I gotta say, anyone who says English Dubs are cringe are stuck in the 90s when there were only 3 English voice actors and they all huffed paint. Old dubs are cringe, sure, but new stuff is generally good or great. Assuming the budget is there for it. I used to be a Subs or GTFO stan, but it just isn't the same voice acting world we used to suffer through. But some bias' remain from that time.

Slight point to be made, the glitchy movement is actually only on the unlimited FPS option. 60fps is a lot smoother. Guessing the unlimited option's a PC thing and they just haven't optimised it properly, more kept it there as proof of concept for now.
Out of the 12 characters; Aokaku, Billy and Anby have the best designs (in my opinion. Some of the others are kinda cheesy). But *Aokaku is definitely my favorite out of the bunch ♡* she’s so unique & cute. Soo I’m _really_ hoping that she’ll be playable from the start & isn’t a special gatcha character.
I wish Jei actually used Aokaku at least once in this video lol but ah well…I’ll just look her up

With miyabi would be the first is slash damage(the swirling/swish) and ice (the star/ snow flake?)
The glove would mean blunt.
And the bullet would mean gun.

One thing that i saw in this game is the nice detail where, characters with sword actually holster their weapons properly. I'm so sick of seeing games where your weapon just randomly floats on your back after a fight.

I gotta say, anyone who says English Dubs are cringe are stuck in the 90s when there were only 3 English voice actors and they all huffed paint.
Old dubs are cringe, sure, but new stuff is generally good or great. Assuming the budget is there for it. I used to be a Subs or GTFO stan, but it just isn't the same voice acting world we used to suffer through. But some bias' remain from that time.
