I found this video very informative on how to create unique clothing from thrifted clothing. I am very excited to go purchase some clothing, etc., in order to create my own unique clothing, clothing that no one else has. Thank you for the inspiration to do so.
This is one of the most creative and helpful sites I have found. I just saw one on mending and updating your clothes periodically and that was good. I am sewing a lightweight sweatshirt and wanted to make it a certain way and then embroider on it. The next one, I want to try some things inspired by you. I am thinking of some appliques on one of the sweatshirts and even an inset. I dress in a boring and conventional way outside, but at home is where I get creative with my at home clothes and I feel happy sewing and buying thrift patterns, yarn and clothes and expressing myself.
I absolutely loved watching this and seeing you create something so unique! Plus seeing all of your other projects too! This was a special treat indeed! I have just started to up cycle stuff that I see at the thrift store that for some reason grabs my attention. I seem to be winging it too as I am just learning how to adjust stuff + how to make stuff, but its very funn+ relaxing too. 😊 sometimes I do get ideas but unsure how to do some of it but with time I will learn. Now if only I can learn how to thread my sewing machine! So far I have been doing my various experiments by hand. 😊
We have lots of videos on getting started sewing with a machine, including threading. Check them out and if you have questions give us a call 1-800-687-5175 as we are happy to help.
Very creative. I love that you wing it and are able to create something beautiful. Would love to take a class or get together with others wanting to upcycle their clothes and create something new from something old and put new life into our worn out garments.
Very creative thank you for sharing. Do you have any video on how to classify or organized the clothes so doesnt become overwhelming when looking for stuff at the time of creating? Thank you.
That is a great idea. We will pass it on to our team to see if they can add that into our "How Do I" Creative series as that is not something we have done yet.
I don't understand how you can put two different color fabrics together and it looks great. When I try this or ask someone if these look good together I get a "heavens no!"
A lot of things come down to personal style and opinion. Only some people are going to like the same color combinations. Don't be afraid to do what YOU like as you are going to wear it 🙂Happy Sewing!
Maybe try using a color wheel. Colors that are next to each other go well together as well as colors across from another. Red and green are across from each other but a pink and light green go well together without screaming Christmas. I'm sure there're plenty of videos that would help.
Why did you choose to sew the lace around the bottom of the shirt by just laying the lace on top then having to cut off the extra later, instead of putting the lace underneath/to the inside of the shirt so that any extra was on the inside of the shirt???
Love your creativity! Thank you for sharing, I had so much fun watching. You have inspired me🤗
Thank you!
I was so glad to watch you, fun fun fun ❤
Oh please do more videos like this! And any videos you’d like to make on how to do this type of work!!
Thank you for your feedback. We will let the education team know. Thanks for watching.
I 💕 up cycling , it helps to save the landfills

Loved this video
I have always wondered why the decorative part is on the back? Why are we seeking admiration from the people behind us?
WOW 😳
There really are so many possibilities of how you can make your clothing "new" again.
Beautiful!
I think any type of crafting helps to keep depression at bay & away , especially art , helps to keep the mind sound 😊❤
What a smart comment…😉🌷

Top!👏
It’s like steampunk for seamstresses.
That is a great analogy. There are so many fun things you can do with upcycling!
👏👍
Bravo 👏

Rebekka, do you have your own youtube page? I'd love to see more of your tutorials if you have any.
Unfortunately, she does not. She does amazing work and we would love to see more of what she creates too! 🙂
Is that a serger? Or is a cover stitch machine different?
It's different.coverstitch gives the samestictch underneath as serger it doesn't cut.coverstitch is more for hemming a garment.or topstitch

It was just personal preference. Either way would work.
Roy
Teachers how to do all that
Love your stuff but putting another label onto your own clothing is just not okay.
Sign of the times. Repurposing, recycling.
It is a lot of fun and environmentally friendly.
The loud breathing is killing me
She’s sharing generously, perhaps you can allow her to breathe!
