    I found this video very informative on how to create unique clothing from thrifted clothing. I am very excited to go purchase some clothing, etc., in order to create my own unique clothing, clothing that no one else has. Thank you for the inspiration to do so.

    This is one of the most creative and helpful sites I have found. I just saw one on mending and updating your clothes periodically and that was good. I am sewing a lightweight sweatshirt and wanted to make it a certain way and then embroider on it. The next one, I want to try some things inspired by you. I am thinking of some appliques on one of the sweatshirts and even an inset. I dress in a boring and conventional way outside, but at home is where I get creative with my at home clothes and I feel happy sewing and buying thrift patterns, yarn and clothes and expressing myself.

    I absolutely loved watching this and seeing you create something so unique! Plus seeing all of your other projects too! This was a special treat indeed! I have just started to up cycle stuff that I see at the thrift store that for some reason grabs my attention. I seem to be winging it too as I am just learning how to adjust stuff + how to make stuff, but its very funn+ relaxing too. 😊 sometimes I do get ideas but unsure how to do some of it but with time I will learn.
    Now if only I can learn how to thread my sewing machine! So far I have been doing my various experiments by hand. 😊

    I don't understand how you can put two different color fabrics together and it looks great. When I try this or ask someone if these look good together I get a "heavens no!"

    • @QualitySewingWA
      @QualitySewingWA  Год назад +1

      A lot of things come down to personal style and opinion. Only some people are going to like the same color combinations. Don't be afraid to do what YOU like as you are going to wear it 🙂Happy Sewing!

      Maybe try using a color wheel. Colors that are next to each other go well together as well as colors across from another. Red and green are across from each other but a pink and light green go well together without screaming Christmas. I'm sure there're plenty of videos that would help.

      It's different.coverstitch gives the samestictch underneath as serger it doesn't cut.coverstitch is more for hemming a garment.or topstitch

    Why did you choose to sew the lace around the bottom of the shirt by just laying the lace on top then having to cut off the extra later, instead of putting the lace underneath/to the inside of the shirt so that any extra was on the inside of the shirt???
