It gets even better. The second clause of Article 6 reads:
"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."
Note that it elevates any treaties made to the same status as the Constitution itself: the supreme law of the land.
Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli, ratified unanimously by the Senate on July 7, 1797, leads with this:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."
The Senate unanimously agreed that the United States of America is not a Christian nation. And they did this less than 10 years after the Constitution itself was ratified.

When JFK campaigned to become the first catholic president he emphasized the separation between church and state. Not because he wasn't a devout Christian (although he did rather enjoy the forbidden fruits), but because large parts of the country viewed a catholic president with suspicion. The separation of church and state allowed him to argue that he was not going to impose his personal religious beliefs as state policy and helped take away such fears.
This shows how the separation allows people to participate in the political discourse regardless of their religious background. It's rather perverse how a principle that exists to ensure inclusivity is painted by Lauren Boebert as being somehow discriminatory.
And she should perhaps be careful what she wishes for. Because who is to say that if an official state religion were to be imposed, that her particular denomination is going to be deemed acceptable by to state?

As a history grad I have to denounce Boebert's insane account of separation of church and state. David Pakman's account is accurate that churches benefitted greatly from the doctrine, which preceded Independence by centuries. The doctrine wasn't invented by Jefferson, though he did write a letter about it. All of the founders, most Americans and most Britons for that matter supported separation of church and state as a positive, settled and sensible principle of government, and going without it was to risk violent religious wars and state repression of religion. In fact, Europe endured centuries of this very thing until religious and non-religious alike realized the two must be separate for the good of both.

I despise religion because to me it's a form of brainwashing. I don't hate people who pray or follow a faith, but I hate when people think they are above all because of their faith.

But remember when the world was ruled by theocracies and the church's power was absolute; when they didn't have anyone controlling their power they were absolutely capable of committing atrocities in the name of god.

This is beyond silly. She doesn't seem to know her history very well, or at all. The founding fathers were trying to flee the tyranny of English rule at the time, which blended very intimately with religion vis a vie a form of christianity. They desperately wanted to get away from that, and she's saying the founding fathers wanted the state to be run by the church?!!!? Nuts, man. Apparently no one in that crowd knew their history either.
