"Polish lancers charging German tanks" is apocryphal. The Polish cavalry generally fought with carbines in WWII, and a Polish cavalry brigade had some 37mm antitank guns. The lances were ceremonial. A Polish cavalry unit did charge a German motorcycle recon unit, and unexpectedly found themselves facing the associated German recon armored cars (Schwere Panzerspahwagen).

I have been listening to this song on repeat all day
Great version, but as an Aussie, you missed the best line, the one that fades out on Corb Lunds vid
"I's with the Aussies at Beersheba took the wells so badly needed
And with the Polish lancers charging German tanks
Saw Ross' mount shot down at Washingtown the night we burned the White House down
And cursed the sack of York and sons of Yanks "
This song was made for your voice
I love your clear diction and cadence and choose of songs, I think I am becoming a fan
I've been a fan for about a 18 months now, and i just wanted to say good job man. it takes so much skill to gain the following you have with no frills and just your talent. bravo man, keep it up!
Thank you friend!
Great. I just love this thank you ❤
I've only ever known Corb Lund as the "Truck Got Stuck" guy when I listened to country. It's awesome to hear how good of an album Horse Soldier is. Thanks for introducing me to this great song with a fantastic rendition. 👍
So sad sergeant Reckless not even a mention...😢😢😢😢😢
Great cover! You are a pro
Reminds me of 'The Highwayman'. Great song, great cover, keep it up!

You should cover "student visas" next

I absolutely love this song with everything in me. I have listened to it at least 4 times today because it’s been stuck in my head. Love it.
..this is the 4th time I've listened to it this hour.
I have a problem.
Now I want it on sportify insta snap everywhere 😭😭😂😂
Incredible dude, makes me want to write a book, not kidding either. It's great, especially for an old military history major like myself.
This song has so much meaning to me. I'm glad I was able to find your channel. Your an amazing artist.
This came out the day I made the horse detachment for my Cavalry Regiment!
I now get to practice being an actual horse soldier for the Army.
11th ACR, Alons!
I always thought this would make an amazing Iron Maiden song.
Is this in the common domain, say to make an animatic?
One of my favorites!
fantastic also loved looking up some of the references
A true banger. Timeless as Horse Soldiers
Seth does put emotion into his singing.:) I like this version.
Orange pin ur colours 2 ur chest!
Love this song SO DAMN MUCH. As good as I want to be in the calvary is. Also let's have a moment of silence for the four Mounties gunned down (I'm Canadian so please wear a poppy on your lapel to honor those killed during the protection of our countries)
Song would work better IMHO " no match for rapid fire or the miles of tangled wire I decide its time to retreat! Now I ride with special forces.........." again, just my opinion.
Does it justice.
One of my favorite songs. Your cover Is the best, you feel the pride of those soldiers through your song and your voice
This beat has my soul in a vice grip and I love it
Will this ever be on Spotify
Yes!
