I just put this model together 2 days ago! I also got it on wheels so I can move it easily and not scratch our floor! The gap that is there is, I believe, on purpose because you can add in some of that rubber strip that came in the box to protect the door from banging too hard against the front panel. When I put in that strip it fit perfectly with no gap left. I am going to be sealing it with some aquarium sealant cause I don't want no drips out the bottom, but overall I am very pleased! ^^
I just had to move my Ginger back into her old bin cage because I had to seal it with aquarium sealant. I went to clean out a section that she has been peeing in and I noticed that there was pee under the bottom plastic! The sealant is cured, so she is back in her enclosure! Phew!
@@origamimommy9247 I'm glad it went well for you and your hams! I'm nervous about doing the sealant (I'm not very handy) but I've read so many people suggesting to do it as it helps the enclosure not become damaged that I'm doing that first before shuffling the hamster into a new environment. I just want what's best for them even though I just got them 😅
I'm so glad that there's a company that is doing their best to provide amazing options for hamster owners. I don't own hamsters but will definitely support the company when I can
I love that Niteagel has amazing products that don’t just target sales or kids, I really hope one day companies like it are more widespread than the flimsy plastic garbage in most pet stores.
That’s very nice! Erm I would like to mention that they already have the stackable version for the bigger world. Well I guess it may not be available in the US. I have friends doing the stackable version and it helps greatly. Aside to it, they also sell wheels separately. I hope the US market would be able to bring in :)
Yes! I have both versions now and I prefer the vista. I put mine together a couple days ago. I have both of them sitting on an ikea table top and the vista is actually a tad smaller length wise.
I am so excited. I ordered my Gemini his Niteangel Vista today. It will be here on the 8th. I bought it from Amazon and was able to get the largest one. I cannot wait until it is here. I also bought the wheel platform, rectangle platform, 6 section maze, two ramps, and a new water dish. It is going to be so great to get this set up. I currently have a 40 gallon breeder tank for Gemini and the extra space will be wonderful for him.
I wish we had these in the UK! I know you've stated before that here in the UK we have more advanced hamster/gerbil/mouse care, but I can assure you we still have a way to go. I had to travel 2 hours away to get my Syrian female a suitable tank as she isn't a fan of the Detolf's narrow design. Niteangel looks amazing, I really wish they sold their items here too!
When an enclosure is big enough to fit a full grown human, you know it's pretty dang good! Could maybe use some kind of locking mechanism for the lid though perhaps 🤔 Also, out of curiosity, as you said you have a personal hamster I was wondering if you have any other small rodents as pets? 🙂
I think a reinforced front would be more useful than the lid. And maybe using mesh on the lid. Aslo, since they did add screws, it would be nice if it came with latches in case you need to install for some scape artistis
Its definitely larger than some of the cages you've reviewed, and deep enough that the hamster can burrow properly, and still have room for a proper sized wheel and enrichment....but it looks VERY wobbly and flimsy to me. And it also looks like its wooden....wouldn't the hammy be able to chew right out of it?
It's very deceiving on camera. Materials are amazing, and I truly wish ppl would read reviews first before buying one. The most complaint I've heard is that they are too big for their space. Which is unfortunate. But till you have one, ppl are just going to assume the way it's built looks flimsy when I haven't had any of mine fall apart on me, even after moving them across the room or into another room. They are pretty sturdy.
Petition for niteangel to ship to the uk🥺🙏🏻 there’s only certain things we can get on amazon - SOMETIMES. And our selection for quality hamster care is awful🥺 we don’t even get storage boxes as large here so bin cages are a no🥺
Has Niteangel made reforms on their Bigger World Enclosure? I got one a few weeks ago and I want to make sure it’s a reliable enclosure before it’s too late to return it (did they make the ceramic bands more strong, is it sturdier?) if there are any better options for hamster enclosures that don’t require much work to assemble, please let me know
Will you be updating us on Luz (the hamster whose tail was cut off) anytime soon? Either on Instagram or RUclips? Her story seriously upset myself and a lot of people, and I'd really like to know how she's getting on :)
@Ik not that I know of. What I know is that even after the necropsy there still wasn't much of an answer. A bit before her death she had a stroke or seizure. It is suspected that the death could be due to some nerve damage Luz had since her tail was chopped off.
I would combine the Niteangel vista and MDF cage large sizes together to make the ultimate cage and also get large tubes with a ventilation on top of the tubes and put them on the ceiling on every corner and goes back to the cage inside for both sides.
I’m very curious on if the “stackable” cage that I see on niteangels page is the same as the first glass tank one you built from them before, but now it has an open glass option to. I’m very curious about this cage and the new bucastate (sp?) acrylic cage too
I loooove this cage. I haven’t tried moving it yet. But the wheels seem like a good idea. The only rubber thing I put on was for the door. It helps to not bang when I close it.
Is this new? Because when I got my detolf cabinet cage a few months ago I searched Amazon and Google endlessly. I couldn't find anything like this cage you showed. Just the smaller cruddy ones. I finally settled on the detolf cabinet for over $200 dollars. I love it but no life for it. I use the cardboard from the box it came with and a couple of 2×4's to cover it. I would love to get this cage in future if it doesn't cost as much. Holy! Just checked. $300 is a lot. I think I'm happy with my detolf. It's big.

There's gonna be a lot of bin cages and tanks in my room for a while. (along with my other two 40 gallon tanks for my adult syrian and two gerbils)
I prefer the vista because of the lid and it's on top but not really if you get what I'm saying like you can still interact with your hamster but you can still put alot of bedding like most big cages have the lid one the side but I dont like that because then my hamster wont have enough bedding to burrow so I'm maybe get this cage or make a ikea cage on of the two
would this work well for 2 degus? Volume, visibility and aesthetics are fantastic but as I understand it, Degus like multiple levels. Seems if it's wood-based, it could easly stack on a similar unit (with front-facing door-swings) and be made multi-level? Just curious your thoughts. the metal cage we got is both dark, an eye sore and too exposed to my other pets who are all too into their new housemates....
I think I’m gonna get this! My dude is a smaller tote (I know it’s not great). I was planning on making a diy but I can’t get help from my dad😂. And it looks like a nice cage!
Yes, it's just been hard to get back into YT. I'm just having issues. But my plan is editing all old videos before posting the new ones. All i want right now is to catch up in February, so we are all on the same timeline.
Tell Niteangel that the support beam is too flimsy. They need to make it more durable and have more screws to help keep the panels more secure instead of those bands. The Vista cage needs a bit more ventilation. I think they should've given you a discount on the price.
If you really think about it, cages only need 3 things to be good- Appropriate size, Easy to access animal/clean, and Safety. Everything else is about what you put inside of it and the animal itself. Cages should be the smallest fraction of animal care, yet almost all hamster cages fail. There shouldn't have to be 3000 videos telling people not to put their hamster in a one square foot box for its entire life. Glad this one looks great though!
I ordered this same cage for my teddy bear hamster and it's seems a lot smaller I couldn't pick sizes but I wondering if you ordered this from the website ik it's 2 years ltr I'm sorry lol
I have bought one that looks identical but called Mewoofun instead of Niteangel. It was half the price. I am wondering if I should use glue to hold it together rather than the silicone bands. Has anyone done this?
Whoofta 😲 that is a pretty penny.....i might have spent that much for my rats but since I only have one female mouse left and might get another pair of females some day, I think I'll stick with my vented bins. Even though this does look boss af ngl lol.
Would you recomend this cage for other small animals? Like mice for example? Also, they seem not to ship outside of the USA, are there any good resellers? Or are there fakes?
At first i thought about mice being inside something like this, however I do not think this is wise and a regular DIY bin, tank or Wire enclosure is more suitable. I prefer my mice to be in Haven Savic or Mickey Savic cages for the hanging toys.
i am thinking of get a small hamster but in stead of a cage a large fish tank will that be okay filled with wood shaving and saw dust plus bedding and toys .
If I still had mice I’d love to buy that cage. It’s hard to find good cages/tanks/enclosures in the USA… I’m hoping to have mice again in the near future but due to life events and my future service dog getting mice may have to be postponed for a long time…
I noticed that except for their glass and metal habitat, which is currently sold out everywhere, they say in their descriptions that their habitats are not for avid chewers, i.e. gerbils. I'll admit I was very disappointed....
I'm a bit confused. Isn't wood supposed to be unsuitable for rodents because they can easily chew on it? Isn't it dangerous for the hamster to gradually start chewing on it until they actually escape? I think the safest hamster cages are the glass terrariums, they can't chew on glass and they come with the mesh lid already on them.
Reptile mesh lids hamsters can chew out of, unless you buy the metal lid separately and it's the hard steel lid. But this has no open areas for them to get their teeth inside of, to start chizling away from the inside. The wood is protected by a coating and its rather smooth. If they had a rougher texture, like the Lexit ones that you can grip easier with, I would call those safety hazards.
Munchie, would you recommend this or a 40 gal breeder or even a 75 gal tank? A 75 gal tank is $250 regularly (without a sale). Do you think that this cage is going to stand the test of time? I really like Niteangel, and them advocating for better and bigger hamster care, I just feel as though many of their products are overpriced.
It all depends on your needs. If you think you’re going to stop owning hamsters in the future or take a break, these are a great option cause you can disassemble and store it, sell it, etc. I have both the bigger world and vista and I haven’t had any issues and it looks like they’ll hold up. Unless you have like a crazy strong chewing ham, I think it’ll be fine.
Tbh I’d personally just go with tanks because it’s so easy to find a good one for cheap and / or secondhand. Craigslist, Facebook marketplace etc will have tons of tanks and Petco does $1 per a gallon sale and no assembly :)
The price for their items matches their quality. I wouldn't say they are overpriced, it may overwhelm people who don't have the money but if I was just a one time hamster owner that won't get more in the future, I'd consider a tank so I can easily resell it when I'm done. However because it's heavy and they can easily chew the rim, I like niteangel for their material and quality design. If you are going to own more than one hamster, the Niteangel is where it's at. Plus if you have trouble lifting or standing, I recommend vista over the bigger world. Tanks are the same problem. You're going to have to bend a lot and it's hurting my back doing tanks. But both look stylish in your homes. It really depends on your lifestyle.
I am debating get this as a cage for my gerbils and I have looked at reviews online and on here. However nobody mentioned using it for gerbils and if they did if they had any issues. If possible can anyone who has experience with that situation give me some input plz?
petsmart: what do kidzs like......shopping malls....lets copy this cage and call it the HAPPY FUN DAY SHOPPING SPREE MALL!! so blaze and friend get some items at the many stores in this encloser coming soon to a petsmart near you..... or never....lets hope not
Hi friend! I know your question is for Munchie but I'd just like to step in and say that there is no such thing as too big when it comes to hamster enclosures! No matter which kind! When it comes to the small animal community, a good mantra to stick by is "bigger is better" :) so a Dwarf would definitely do well in a large cage like this one. I hope this helps!
You know it's gonna be a good cage review just because Muncchie never once yelled at the cage. 😂
Although it's pretty funny when Munchie gets frustrated with the bars on a shoebox being warped.
Naw, I think it is scary to hear this woman rage LOL

It's nice to see bigger cages becoming more commercially available. Hamster owners have been improvising and DIY-ing for such a long time.

Yes! I have both versions now and I prefer the vista. I put mine together a couple days ago. I have both of them sitting on an ikea table top and the vista is actually a tad smaller length wise.
To me it looked longer than the bigger world (but I couldsee wrong), that would be important for me so the hamster has lots of lenght to walk on.
Niteangel has a stackable cage. But I believe it’s still in production and not released outside of China yet. I saw it on Taobao.
Niteangel did finally make a stackable cage called the "Niteangel Stacker Series". It's only 558 sq in but it would be good for the rescue room!
They also have now remade it to be able to connect so you can buy multiple to make a bigger one!
So expensive but so, so worth every cent.
So the plastic pieces you pulled out first goes on the sides and front to not have the gap and it also helps with the noise
I love the way you silently put the Cage together with some soft music..It relaxed me so much 🤣

Pick up a set of neodymium magnets and glue it to each side where the door and front panel, will fix the gap.

@@MunchiesPlace thank you for your feedback. I have learned SO much from you!!!
I have a 40 gallon tank and my dad's still saying how lucky that hamster is because he thinks it's very extra

It looks like it’s as big as my Dubia 4 x 2 x 2 that my corn snake has
Ikea Detolf or Niteangel Vista?
I am debating get this as a cage for my gerbils and I have looked at reviews online and on here. However nobody mentioned using it for gerbils and if they did if they had any issues. If possible can anyone who has experience with that situation give me some input plz?
Hi Munchie is that cage suitable for gerbils?
gerbils can most likely chew out - i'd recommmend a large tank!
Whatever happened to the poor Hammie with his tail cut off????
petsmart: what do kidzs like......shopping malls....lets copy this cage and call it the HAPPY FUN DAY SHOPPING SPREE MALL!! so blaze and friend get some items at the many stores in this encloser coming soon to a petsmart near you..... or never....lets hope not
I'm dying to get a hamster but I'm also questioning if I want a rabbits or rats 💛😭
where i live that cage costs 700+ dollars🥲
Will this work for a gerbil or a African soft fur rat?
Would this be too big for a Dwarf Hamster
Nothing is too big
I want this enclosure so bad but it’s so expensive
