That is a tough question, both projectors have really good image quality and the only way I could give an accurate answer is to do a side by side comparison. Unfortunately we had to send the Epson back so that isn't possible now, judging purely from memory my preference would lean towards the BenQ. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hey. Im in dire need of trying to get my HT4550i to play 3d bluerays from my PS3. I didnt have much luck from Benq customer support. I have the right 3d glasses, a HDMI cable that wouldnt have issues and of course the 3d Blue rays. I cant seem to figure it out. My next step is getting a 3D blueray player but want to avoid that. The 3d always looked sick on my 3d sony tV so I know the PS3 worked. PLEASE HELP.
Never use optical out as your 5.1 dolby. I use a hdmi splitter with a audio out on a old receiver on hdmi. I'm guessing that's your problem. Look for a 2.1 hdmi audio extractor splitter. Make sure it's a 4k 120 hz one. They can differ from 30hz/60hz/120hz. You need 120hz or at least 60hz for gaming. Not all those 2.1 hdmi audio extractor splitters are a 120hz.
I don't have a receiver only one of those Logitech z906 5.1 setups so I'd rather use the projector's optical out than introduce an HDMI extractor into the mix.
great review..I bought this directly from Benq # 00042...3 months ago. It has great color,4k res..It fills My 150" matte white in a very dark room..I turned off the dongle as I use My new roku 4k+ as it is a little faster/better...My new Sony az1000 reciever powers a 7.4.4. Jbl system..Turning the brightness down to 45 results in better contrast..It replaced a Optoma uhd 65 which was great for the last 5 yrs..Thanks for your review....
hello JM..I did a direct comparison with the 4550i on top of the uhd65 and it beat it in color depth of image..4k resolution was better also..either pj is great..Thanks keep well.bh@@jeremynorris2889
Im also looking into this PJ for a matt white 150 inch screen. Was curious what your throw distance is? Im currently at 19 feet and wonder if im gonna have to move the PJ closer? Thx
In picture quality - BenQ HT 4550i vs Hisense c1 ... whice is better ?
I appreciate the review. Now that you’ve reviewed both, which image do you prefer, Epson’s LS12000 or the HT4550I?

@@TwoGuyzTech thank you
@@TwoGuyzTechwhy would you lean towards benQ?
BenQ 4550 wins easily over LS12000 in brightness, sharpness and color accuracy
@@sajithtg After owning both now I would agree.
I don’t use the dongle I just use my 4K Blu-ray player
I want one, though I think I’ll keep my firestick.

What about the dreaded RBE? Is this still an issue?
I don't see any RBE.
This one awol vision LTV 3500 pro which one is better picture quality plz pls plz reply 🙏🏻
Awol being ultra short throw has focus and sharpness issues
Thanks for the review. Did you test this with a white screen? and would that be what you would recommend? Cheers!
Look at the gain of a white screen, i've got a 1.2 gain cheap one. Works fine for me. You can also go expensive silver screen for brighter rooms.
Curious about the optical out, does it output 5.1/Dolby depending on input source?

@@HugeVictor It has a optical out(SPDIF) (optical port) and even a 3.5mm headphone out.
@@HugeVictor I would get the just released newer one though, unless you find a good deal.
@@Joey-ct8bm which model are you talking about?

We are just under 13 feet, I would check a throw distance calculator to make sure that distance will work for the size you are after. @@wokeupmens
