been an "Optoma" projector owner for 5 yrs uhd 65..It still is very great...Benq was a lot more at the time..ht 8550...This new ht 4550i..looks great for $2700.00..might be my new projector in may 2023...manual shift and zoom keeps the price down..
2700 is too high. You can get a UST with better contrast and color than this one. 2000 is maximum, as an alternative to x3000i. This one has to be brighter with same contrast as HT2060. And I don't get it, why are they including the dongle? A lot of people already have Android tv box, stick or apple tv. They should sell 2 versions, or offer the dongle the same way as other accessories
Benq spport responded to my questions...It will roll out in May 2023..slightly delayed...They DO Not have full spec sheet available which leads me to believe it is not fully implimented yet..Hopefully soon as this projector should sell a lot of units for the price listed..Cheers..
Yes, Bill you are right it should sell a lot of units, especially with the new LED light source, local contrast and vertical + horizontal lens shift. A lot easier to install.

Hey everybody..I did get a reply from Benq support..The lens throw is ..1.1--1.5.1 for this ht 4550i projector..That means it may not completely fill my 150" screen as my optoma is 1.6..and is fully telescoped to fill the screen..I cant move my mount nor my screen...I am buying it and hopfully it will fit...fully...Thanks...
Ht4550 vs UHZ2000 ? which is better? I have a benq w1400.. but I hate that I can not upgrade the Firmware myself. Have to send it in and pay money for it.

New Stuff TV did a great job with presenting the HT4550i. Looks like its coming out in May. Looks and feels like it might be an important projector.

I'm in the same boat! Both x3000i and HT4550i are on my hitlist..
2700 is too high.
You can get a UST with better contrast and color than this one.
2000 is maximum, as an alternative to x3000i.

I own ht4550i now.. and I can confirm that filling 160 inch from 15.5 feet distance is a breeze with no drop in brightness
