Id say making your own SO with Drill and sending 3 in at a time for a suicide attack ground is the most promising strat as that would result in favorable SO trades and without them being massed the Mangudai would become effective counter again.
I agree, but they might not have had enouth time to add it yet. In fact I am impressed with what they managed in a few months, my guess is the most important thing for T90 is that it actually works in the HC3 event.

I really like the top bar, my suggestion would be to put the map in the corner and shrink it down along with the KD/Relic count panel to match the panel height below the scores.

I think as mongols the best approach to killing the celt deathball is to go for SO yourself early and send in one or two at a time using the speed, you should always get good trades because they have clumped up SO and you only have one. Awesome overlay, congrats to CA team. That's how you do a great UI with loads of info, still being easy to see and understand everything. Maybe the bottom left and mid section could be still a bit smaller in height to occupy even less vertical screen space. Only chat is missing from here but I guess it's gonna be there in HC3. Yay!
@@Turbo_TechnoLogic multiple :) this tool is comprised out of several components, an ingame mod in the games JSON ui modding system to move the original games ui out of the way and an external application overlaying the game itself we made to render our own on top, which itself is comprised out of multiple parts itself again.
Nice MbL impression ;) The left part of overlay needn't be that that thick, its mostly blank. Maybe the mini-map in the middle could remain same size like a camera notch on an upside down smartphone. Frankly, if CA doesn't bring in massive zoom out capabilities, just the stats is probably still worth it but maybe if you face issues with the integration, the basic overlay would do fine enough.
Love watching your casting, brings back awesome memories plus I get to watch some real pro players which I have never been but you explain things so well, you're awesome T90
When DauT lost his first mangudais against the celtic-onager-ball, he should have spread his attacks across the map: Grab little tunnels in the forest, and raid the economy with a troopvalue of 15-20 mangudais and onagers or rams. At least at three different points. Onagers in chokepoints? Bye, when you don't have bombard canons or tributches in range.
how do you realistically counter the SO halb deathball? all i can think off is 2 groups of hussars attacking from both sides in spread formation, and about 5 SO's of your own (the SO would come in after the hussar charge)
I would of liked to see more paths cut through trees for Daut and then flank the deathball with Siege Rams filled with Champions and surround him zergling style with your Drilled speed siege. When your rams go boom the Champs pop out and slaughter the Halbs and some Onagers while the Hussar/Mangudai come in to finish. When you are losing thousands of resources in 1 volley to catapults of doom, I think the expensive switch is well worth it.
Exactly I really think champions could have made the difference in this game. They are overlooked, but they are a counter for pikes, and they are decently expendable at only 20 gold.
Really like the overlay, props to the Capture Age team as always. My one criticism is the bottom section takes up too much screen, particularly the left hand side. I feel like below the player info is very large and could be adjusted. Looking Forward to HC3!
t90, i have started playing age again after ages today! been watching videos quite often and was able to 1v1 the AI on the first 3 games, going up difficulty on each! thanks! (also, damn, the pros make it looks so easy!)
I think what he could have done was to combat the halbadiers with some standard archers. They don't cost gold, and put them on spread formation to cover more area. Helps against the SO's plus covers more area and allows the Mangudai to pass through. Once most of the halbs are down, charge the SO's with the Mangudai. Other than that there wasn't much that Daut could have done. MBL must be able to process a LOT of actions per second and is a MUCH better micromanager than anyone I've seen lmao

Congrats on the setup for HC3 T90! Feedback on the overlay: as some people have said, it might be better to put the buttons on the sides of the minimap. Also, can you have more info than what the achievements show? I think that on many games (this one included), it would be interesting to look at amount of resources sold and bought to see who got the most out of the market.
Don worry the whole bottom will look completely different. It will be fully designed to work with T90s OBS overlays and stuff like those buttons won't even be visible. Also it will be smaller and less intrusive :) Market sales we couldn't get in yet due to limited time though, sorry :( Thx for the feedback, allways appreciated
I had just finished two Low ELO legends videos and started this one not realizing it also wasn't low ELO legends for about five minutes. The villagers attacking the walls within that timeframe did not help me correct my error.
Loving the new overlay! 💜 I missed HC3 dues too life being too busy, but I made time to log on to twitch and give you my Prime Sub! Now to catch some live casts during quarantine 😂
Along the top of castle age, it would be great to see resources per second. If they moved the resource icons up and made them a little smaller it would fit to the left of the villager counts.
MbL managing to not smite his own army in all that chaos is one of the most impressive AOE2 performances I've ever seen.

the mangudai losses in this video are heartbreaking and they just keep coming
Awesome overlay, congrats to CA team. That's how you do a great UI with loads of info, still being easy to see and understand everything. Maybe the bottom left and mid section could be still a bit smaller in height to occupy even less vertical screen space. Only chat is missing from here but I guess it's gonna be there in HC3. Yay!
Thx for the feedback
@@nbrain1595 Cool cool. What language do u use?
@@Turbo_TechnoLogic multiple :) this tool is comprised out of several components, an ingame mod in the games JSON ui modding system to move the original games ui out of the way and an external application overlaying the game itself we made to render our own on top, which itself is comprised out of multiple parts itself again.
"Looks like a game against the AI"
Yeah me too, but I'm DauT.
T90Official is truely the Gold Standard in AoE game commenting. Awesome!
27:36 damn I completely forgot that used to happen...and now I feel 8 years old again playing on the CD version 11
17:16 "there's no DauT in my mind"
Holy shit man...the first few minutes was intense! Lol that one dislike is probably from Daut.
I'm a simple man.. Heard a Sabaton reference, liked the video!

What a stupid fuck haha. Love them haters, they make the internet a wonderful place 🤣

The battle when MBL opened through forest and Manugdai rushed and were lost to siege was where I think MBL got the lead.

how do you realistically counter the SO halb deathball? all i can think off is 2 groups of hussars attacking from both sides in spread formation, and about 5 SO's of your own (the SO would come in after the hussar charge)
I wouldn't believe you capable of dissing black forest T90. You're the premier Black Forest commentary youtuber!
Hey, is that a mod for the Upgrade UI in the top of the screen? Where do i find this? :D
"His goal is to hold onto his gold". T90 the true mvp
Had to stop at 4:00 just to say, Oh snap~! What trolls! This is so entertaining! This made my day.... Okay, moving on to the rest of the video.
Really like the overlay, props to the Capture Age team as always. My one criticism is the bottom section takes up too much screen, particularly the left hand side. I feel like below the player info is very large and could be adjusted. Looking Forward to HC3!
thx for the feedback
@@nbrain1595 thanks man, love your work!
27:18 Listen to those SOs.
Brrrrrrrrr errorrrrrr
Good to see the channel grow man!
You should cast more Black Forest maps, especially 3v3 ones.
t90, i have started playing age again after ages today! been watching videos quite often and was able to 1v1 the AI on the first 3 games, going up difficulty on each! thanks! (also, damn, the pros make it looks so easy!)
Can someone explain the thing t90 was talking about at 9:32 to 9:52?
18:40 t90 becoming Spirit of the law
"This is not a daut castle, but it is a former daut castle"
lol
This was such a cool game. Awesome seeing the pros battle it out on black forest.
17:34 Explain to the folks at home how DauT's army moves every time he creates a mangudai.
I'm confused
@@SoakieCat That was the point
@@blarch2 I'm confused by what you said, I didn't see what you were talking about, idk what he's gunna explain if I can't see what it is he's gunna explain you know? Cause see I wanted to see for myself the thing that he was gunna explain but I had no fucking idea what you were talking about so like now I guess I gotta wait to see if he does explain, ya know?
This is like one of those fights from the good old days
The new UI is a game changer man! Keep up the great work! Back to aoe2 because of you. Let's goooo HC3!
With Mongols Unique Tech, in the right hands Mongol SO can out micro the higher hp Celts SO. Anyone who is a BF main knows this.
bf main?
Yes there is lots of players who play exclusively black forest. So they are microing ornagers every single game.
Also it will be smaller and less intrusive :)
Market sales we couldn't get in yet due to limited time though, sorry :(
Thx for the feedback, allways appreciated
How do you counter Mbl's siege onager and halb combo?
So glad that H3 is coming! In these times of Corona crisis we need this! 😍
Im actually pleasently suprised, this might have been one of the coolest bf games i have ever seen.
Keep it up, stay hyped for hc3
The overlay is great. Well done and thank you to the creator 👏
Creators :) our teams has 6 people who invested a stupid amount of time into this :D
I had just finished two Low ELO legends videos and started this one not realizing it also wasn't low ELO legends for about five minutes. The villagers attacking the walls within that timeframe did not help me correct my error.
this overlay is AWESOME
thx
how can i use that overlay when im watching recorded games? Or is it just for casters? I'd be willing to pay for it =D
How do I see the hidden cup. Like what time will it be streamed?

HC3 hasn't happened yet so you can't have missed it
Random Strategy really? I thought it was last weekend 🤣 I guess I can still catch a couple rounds

Along the top of castle age, it would be great to see resources per second. If they moved the resource icons up and made them a little smaller it would fit to the left of the villager counts.
