Tonal value exercise: grayscale of 9 steps with acrylics

By practicing this exercise, you will improve your sense of tonal values. We start by mixing a value that lies in between black and white. After that, we gradually mix more values.
Materials:
• Titanium white and black paint
• Gesso
• Painters tape
• Pencil
• Paper (suitable for acrylics)
• Palette, palette knife, water, paper towel
