Episode #44 - There is a big difference between breaking rules and breaking the law. In order to achieve great things in life, you must break the rules.
1.Three levels of happiness:
1) The lowest lever - pleasure
2) The second level - passion
3) The last level - purpose - doing something that's never been done before, making a difference in people's lives.
2. The second phase - is to become obsessed with your cause.
3. The third phase - You must have the courage to make a bold decision in your life.
"The bad news is that you will never ever be like Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk. The good news is, they will never ever be like you. Once you identify what your cause is they will never be like you. The key is to add your signature to the world!"

- There is a big difference between breaking rules and breaking the law
- There are 3 levels of happiness:
1. Pleasure (Lowest level of life expectancy)
2. Passion
3. Purpose
- Worthy obsession comes from 3 things: What we hate, love and what bothers us
- We then need to have the power to make a bold decision, and once this happens we will have the fire in our belly!
Don't be afraid to break and question societal conventions/rules. Don't chase pleasure or passion but chase your life purpose! Be *YOURSELF*

I think everyone needs to look at his channel as a reflection of the journey to great success. It was a long journey, I'm looking at all of his older videos now.

The reason I listen to PBD is because he has done it. He has the purpose and he is obsessed with his cause. I have a feeling he would still be working to create great entrepreneurs even if his channel wasn't reaching 3M subs today.

Yes just like in book Smarter, Faster, and better by Charles Duhigg sometimes you have to bend the rules to get your way. Its true often times we let things that people said in past get in way and it carries with us. Its important to do anyways.

If you don’t have a clear picture of your why, you will never stay motivated through the how. Our natural state is to be lazy and to take the path of least resistance,
unless we are motivated by the why in our heart."
Lesson: Most of us go through life being content. We don't reach for true happiness because society puts us in a box because we are scared of what others may think. There are 3 levels of happiness.
Lower-Pleasure. Short lifespan.
Mid-Passion. Longer lifespan
Highest-Purpose. Life long.
When we have a purpose, we don't strive for a single goal. We strive for a cause. To do this, we must first get rid of wasted obsessions. Then we must look for something that will give us pleasure, and finally purpose. When we find purpose, we change. We'll never be like those we aspire to be, but they will never be like us.
