an absolute tech luddite here Nick but your video is just what I needed to help me decide on which to go for having owned a reliable but now old Galaxy S10 for many years. Itll be the Plus for me average user needs and I like the slighter larger size. battery life is key to me so the extra 2 hrs is spot on! you talk with total confidence about the 15 plus.
With my old eyes, I want a larger screen without the larger sticker price 😮. I love my 15 plus. As much as I think Apple should have given it 90hz refresh rate. 60hz isn’t really a deal breaker for me. Last year, I just HAD to have the 14 pro max and I’m not a power user and I hated the weight. Gave it to my husband and the weight isn’t even noticeable to him. 😊. I don’t miss it all. He also likes to take more pictures than I do. Very helpful comparison! Thanks, Nick!

I have the 15 pro max and coming from a lighter phone S22 Plus it feels heavier. Do you miss the camera quality/features you had in the 14 pro max? I would prefer the lighter weight of the iPhone 15 plus but I wonder if I’ll miss the camera of the 15 pro max.

Iphne 15 and plus is for regular users like usage of basic camera and pro is for more usage of camera specially telephoto and max is for overall camera and videos which gives complete package.

Apple should adopt the 120 hz on all models and also a bigger battery for the 15 Pro. I went for the 15 Pro, given its compact size and the smoother screen resolution; I like your presentation style Nick - Thank you.

This was the comparison I was waiting for. The only thing I don’t agree with is the longevity of the plus because of the chip when Apple stops updating the the 15 plus then it’s outdated imo. I’m probably gonna upgrade way before 5 years. I’m going from a 14 pro to a 15 plus the battery life is garbage on the 14 pro and my battery life is horrible l need something with better battery life.

Hi there! If i currently use iphone 13 128gb and want an upgrade, which one would you recommend? Usually, I just use my phone for basic social media consumption. And I want a bigger storage. Which do you think would last longer? Like in terms of updates and all? 15 plus' bigger screen definitely is tempting, but if ever i will upgrade, i plan to stick with it for a few years cause iphone in my country ain't that cheap. 😅 LOL!

Me personally I cant handle the 60hz on 15:D it feels like my XS, the animations are just laggy and awful. I have 144hz monitor. so the transition from PC screen to phone screen is drastic. However if u are not used 120hz+ then u are probably fine. Went with the 15 pro blue titanium and couldnt be happier

the 60HZ screen on the Plus models is just brutally outdated. lets be honest. we all know that.
the battery on my plus takes two days before it goes to 30%. is this normal cuz I kinda like it 😂😎
I will say the extra 2GB of RAM on the Pro models is nice. My 4GB XS was constantly crashing and refreshing apps.

6:29 and You if think about it the chipset from the 14 rivalized at first with snapdragon 8 gen 1 the snapdragon 8 gen 2 came the next year. So definetly an slower chipset. The 8 gen three in My opinion is just gonna be the fastest chip of all next year.

You’re right about the 15pro battery I’ve had it for 3 weeks and the battery gets really hot when I’m in the sun??? This happened because I was on a long road trip and whenever the sun was out my phone would stop charging because it would ‘overheat ‘
the only thing that’s hanging me up on picking the pro is the one line about longevity, i keep my phone for years so thats important to me.. but the plus has a better battery which is also important to me.. this is such a hard choice

I’m under the same doubt, but taking into account I also want to have it a lot of time, I will go for 15 pro , due to 120hz, 2gb extra ram ( in ios that’s huge) and the extra camera. I’ve been watching tons of videos and the battery difference between 15 pro and plus it’s just 1:30 hours.

It's absurd that anyone who recommends the Plus, does it apologetically. Apart from creators, there's no need for the Pro Max, unless you can't live without the zoom lens. ProMotion is not a big deal whatsoever.
I’ve recently upgraded to the plus variant from my 13 pro max and the difference in refresh rate is simply not a problem for me. It’s most likely because I used power saving mode on my 13 mostly but even still the 60hz on this phone wasn’t even distinguishable from my last experience.

15 - for your average consumer…
15 plus - for your average consumer that have extra budget…
15 pro - for middle up consumer that doesn’t really use the feature but they just care with the triple camera…
15 pro max - for upper class consumer that might use the camera and video feature once every month but they are also filthy rich so they have no idea where to spend their money…

Just get the 15 pro here’s why:
It has the first “Pro” chip and it’s a newer chip which means more updates.
it’s USB-C and everything is USB-C so it’s better to stick with the rest of the world instead of being stuck on lightning
It’s not even much more expensive than the 14PM
The action button is pretty useful and fun to mess with
I’ve heard of battery health issues on the 14PM and 14P
The camera system is a lot nicer too have especially the extra zoom

@@RealMrMizterthere are some misadvanteges though. Worst battery life, overheating issues, small screen (if you like to use big phones). Also if you wanna take great pictures, the camera sensor on the 15 plus model is probably bigger than on the 15 pro.

Apple…just eliminate the pro model because that’s the only one that gets discontinued when the new devices come out…it has no spot in the lineup. Those devices have very little differences and the line up gets hectic and they know people will opt for that 14 pro at a lower price over the 15 pro and 15 pro max.
0:11 the pro is better period but I would say if you don't have the budget for the pro if you can only afford the plus would be the option for you.
or just get refurbished 14 pro/max

My iPhone 14+ is awesome but I wish I had to dynamic island that’s the reason why I’m probably just gonna upgrade to the 15+ all the videos and photos I take with my phone even on the 14 model or superb. I have no complaints I don’t need anything fancier Plus the 15+ has all the 14 pro innards anyway except for the promotion display and the cameras that’s it it’s got the same processor
my 14 plus broke and i decided to go with 15 pro. i realized big phones are definitely not for me, they don’t fit in my pockets, my hands are small and i LOVE taking photos and since i don’t have a good camera this will do
Apple knew if they gave even a 90 hz screen to the 15 plus, it would be overpowered. Personally, i've been using this plus model as my main phone for about a month now and honestly, i don't even care if it's a 60hz panel anymore simply cause it's not noticable at all for any normal user. It's that good of a phone even without the pro motion display that it makes no sense to get the pro (pro max is a different story).
I always hog my nephews 14 plus, but that thing barely fits in my pocket.

15 plus ,i think apple hit the balance for most iphone users ,you only really need the 15 pro max if you want the extra bells and whistles that only a minority of iphone users care about or its more of status symbol ,when it comes to pitting against the 14 pro max thats more tough if you can still get a new carrier deal,for those that care itll come above the 15 plus but the weight might be a deal breaker

I believe that the the iPhone 15 plus would not get the Apple Intelligence features whereas the iPhone 15 pro would. Not sure if that is something that is you care about though.

In real world usage the 14 plus and 15 plus are the same except for the dynamic island.
except if you take photos, since the hardware & software updates are really big. 48 megapixel sensor and 24 megapixel default + better sensor make the photos on 15's look incredible.
Sure thing! People generally don't mind the 15's 48 MP camera because, in the end, when photos are uploaded to social media, they all get compressed to 12 MP, and the difference isn't noticeable for most. plus my wife has a 15 and I have the 14 comparing the photos there’s no difference both look great its more of a difference in color. like the 15 is more in the cooler side and 14 on the warmer side.

Very noticeable between 60Hz and 120Hz. Saying 60Hz is smooth and won't notice it after using it a couple of days is like crease in foldables is not significant. It is laughable. Paying $1000 for a phone that is crippled and accepting it by being an apple apologists.
