I Thing you should wait for both the iPhone to cool down before you do the benchmarks because these benchmark scores ( especialy on geekbench )are low in both of then i got 2340 single, and 7388 multicore score on my s24 ultra and the iphone score is also very low.

I’m just tired Apple ecosystem. Don’t even have true multitasking. I miss the customization of Android. Bigger/cleaner screen, since I watch vids all day. Can’t wait! Will keep iPhone 2ndary. For a while.. still great phone.

Samsung needs to improve those animations. That blink still happening after so many years when you go back to an app for some reason meanwhile other android brands don't do it. Also sometimes when you're seeing what apps are open (scrolling in the recents menu I mean) it suddenly freaks out and takes you to the most recent one by itself, it's been happening for years too
Exactly. Sometimes it glitches out completely, closes windows randomly, etc etc. It's annoying and not only looks un-premium but reduces usability. Thinking of switching to Apple

Have both phones and for me the iPhones still is much smoother especially in apps . The s24 ultra is fast but not as smooth .

Yeah, I just feel that Samsung's iteration of android in the One UI feels different from the rest of the android pack. It's the default android phone for most-I'd say it's android's representative against the iPhone. They just need to clean it up a bit further, declutter the skin and further refine the animations and smoothness factor. Making cross-platform interaction (their ecosystem) more seamless is also welcome.

Tell them, Nick. Even the Note 10 and S10 from five years ago perform fast even now. You could even go all the way back to the S8 and Note 8 (2017), and they will still be decent even today.

6:40 Samsung also has a game mode, but it doesn't notify you that it's turned on when you launch games. So that can't be the reason why it's a bit slower on the left.
The two phones are great and the speed is almost equal, but I will definitely choose Samsung because of the interface and I feel that Samsung phones are more practical

s24 ultra performing very well. i agree with you as well samsung have really stepped up my s21 ultra on one ui 6.1 while being a few years old is actually barely slower even if techincally it is in a bencmark . one ui 6 really helped the s21 and s22 to feel snappier

The first thing you should check in your checklist is bias. If you find that you're biased towards one of the items you're reviewing, skip the review or have someone helping you out. I noted you seemed to favor Samsung even where Apple took a win. And there was a lot of praise for Samsung. I'd love your videos better if you can do a robotic review (bias-less)

It's better if you install the stable. Of course be careful cause some stable version has more bug than the beta ones.

Hey Nick, I don't know if you already do this, but could you point me at a test where you compare older Samsung flagships to the equivalent flagship iPhone? I feel like my S21 Ultra, which is close to it's EoL at 3,5 years of usage got significantly slower than the matching iPhone models, but since I do not own an iPhone 12(?) Pro Max, I really can't be sure.
I'm planning to buy a 15 Pro Max once the iPhone 16 line launches and just want to confirm my suspicions about the longevity difference between the two.

As someone who has had a iPhone for the last 5 years, Samsung absolutely kills the iPhone in most areas. I got a iPhone 15 and if samsung can optimize their social media apps I would really consider switching back. For $800 I don’t know how apple could leave the 15 with a 60hz display but personally, it doesn’t bother me but the S24 is very close in price and it has a 120hz and better camera. I feel like Samsung has really improved since I last had one (S10e) and I probably will give it another shot when I can upgrade again.

The Apple has a special feature. It captures an image of some of the apps and reloads it behind the image. Just be aware of this. I don't think Apple likes that information to get out. The article I read said Apple wants a smoother look.
I tested this, and it's a bunch of tin-hat conspiracy fanatics. I tried 25 apps and went through RAM management, and they all were usable as soon as I returned to them. There is no placeholder screen...sorry to spoil your anti-Apple agenda.

Great Idea with the AI apps, however both of them are just clients and the real calculation is run on a server. maybe you could search for apps that run locally on the devices and compare the real AI power of those phones👍

I would use iPhone 15pm over S24 u because iPhone in hand feels better than that brick shaped rectangular phone the performance in long term will be bother on an iPhone, specially for a games its is always better and smoother than android specifically while using the gyroscope
