tip for the dominos if you want to cheese it slightly to get the 100% completion - play All Fives at the little park in St Denis across the road from the theatre Raleur. its a bit less of a coin toss than draw dominos at Emerald Ranch, and fairly easy to win if you pay attention. but if your opponent gets close to 100 points and looks like winning a game, stand up from the table and sit back down. a new game will start but it doesn't count as a loss unless your opponent actually gets the 100 points. you can't save the game and come back, that will reset the counter on the challenge, so you have to do it all in one game session, but it shouldn't take more than half an hour or so.
I'm on my second play through,I spent like 3 weeks on it the first time finished like 60 percent and didn't pick it up again for over a year I realized I missed so much not looking for strangers hunting all the animals finding all the treasure doing all the bounties, I've been playing this tim and im only on chapter 3 after a month but have way more weapons, satchels, horses hell I didn't even craft or modify my weapons the forst time this is a game that's not meant to be ran through like Mario it's meant to be immersive and Rockstar knocked this one out the park definitely could be the best game ever made.....
I was the same but mostly because I didn't watch any videos for spoilers so I only saw what I ran across. Now I'm in Ch 3 not progressing further and found a great stopping point to do everything with Arthur now. Last playthrough I didn't do any legendary fish, any challenges for fun belts, or any collectables so I'll have all those now before I get to play with John. I still finished at 87% last time but so much I didn't finish
Yeah love this game, i fixed the platinum and my last trophy was the one where you have to visit al you're friends graves. The last grave was Arthur and then it poped next to my buddy.
You absolutely must finish everything that's avaliable as Arthur. That means basically everything besides the herbalist and horseman challenges (unless you have a wagon and/or a ton of tonics), dino bones and grave sites. The rest really needs to be done as Arthur. Mostly because Art is undeniably the better character.
That’s just the attitude of someone who’s not old enough to have played RDR when it first came out. All I mud older folks felt the exact same way about John years ago as people do of Arthur now. John is the more interesting character
@@wildcat8598 not even close. I was a senior in high school when rdr came out. Arthur remains the same best fictional character that's ever been written, at least by rockstar. When John dies I thought "that sucks" when Arthur died I actually got emotional and it's the first fictional death that's ever made me feel anything.
What I like doing is roleplaying on the PC version of the game with mods, I would roleplay John and Jack on adventures hunting animals and doing side quests its actually a lot of fun Jack would follow along like a small companion.
I am at 99.30% right now i need to visit 3 graves only i kept it for the last thing i need to do played this game for 200hrs which was very enjoyable it took me 8 month of gameplay to reach 99% i dont have time to play that much but its a very polished game u can not just let it go and move on to other games, this is by far the best game out there ..
I went through the game once, although nowhere near 100%. I restarted and am in chapter six but haven't been able to bring myself to finish it knowing what happens. I had no idea you could finish missions you started as Arthur. Maybe I'll try to get through it again and spend more time as John.
OMG me too. I've only gone through the entire story once. I get to Chapter 4 and I start getting so sad...as Chapter 5 and 6 move alone and Arthur gets sicker...I haven't been able to go through the whole story again and just start a new game. But I think I'll try it again so I can finish some of this stuff mentioned.
Just finished my first play thru and by far my favorite video game ever. Not only are the guns, clothes, and facial hair options really cool but Im a huge fan of the southwest US and am about to move to a state out west in the next couple months. Shout out to Tahitian mango farmers!
The only thing that I wish they added for John is like more interactions with the family. Take Jack fishing or hunting or take Abigail on a date. Get drunk with uncle just something. And should have a lot more bounties for John. Don't get me started on New Austin. So boring
It's a shame that you really don't have much to purchase by the time you get to the epilogue as John . By then the guns have been purchased and most of the horses . Other then some outfits , you really can't take advantage of the money you get .
@number7red619 Never lost on on the trains but the Murrfee Brood seems to like to shoot horses. On an ambush by them it was the first thing that happened, twice. I tried to save my horse but ended up dead as well both times. Only wounded on the third and I manage to save him. BTW there is no more Murrfee brood members left alive just for just that reason. It really made me mad.. I'll remember to be more careful around trains, thanks. This is my second play through the first went kind of fast but all I did was follow the story line. However I recently realized that there is no way for me to get a 100% completion as I am missing a couple of weapons from the gunslingers side mission. Guess I'll just have to play the game again, poor me, lol. By the way this only the second game I ever played. I'm 78 so I guess you could call me a late blooming gamer.
I remember doing the serial killer side quest during 3-4 am, it was so relaxing. I at first was disappointed when I didn't get any unique item in the end, but realized the journey was the reward all long
After 5 years I finally 100% rdr2 and while I feel happy and relieved after many of the annoyances you have to do in order to obtain 100% completion apart of me feels kind of sad that I will never be able to do anything for the first time again in rdr2
That SOB Arthur died on me… he was supposed to beat black lung after dodging death through train heist after train heist and then a few bank robberies and then being trapped on an island that SOB was supposed to survive.
1:24 actually you can get Micah’s revolver in the mission in chapter 1 where you raid the enemy gang camp all you need to do is disarm one of the enemy gang members and then lead them to micha who will get tackled and drop his gun
If the Epilogue happens few years after the main story end, how is it that those secondary missions are still available when playing John? Means the photographer and the guy who lost his animals have been sitting there for years ? 😅
You get 20+ K at the end of the game, what difference is 8$ gonna make lmao. Not that doing some farm work is not immersive, its a cool element actually.
After killing Micah: restart the game over and over, multiple times, Never getting bored, and never will. Playing as Arthur just Fills my dark and empty Soul with happiness. I love playing as John as well, and like them both equally, just playing as Arthur Feels more Special.
It is possible to do all the challenges as Arthur, horseman 10 is easy as Arthur, horseman 9 is also perfectly doable so long as you ensure you have plenty of tonics in your satchel. Herbalist 9 takes a wagon, patience and bags of practice to succeed however and frankly I've never managed it 😅
@@Mr.Moose.3 Assuming "lote" means Legend of the East, yes, Arthur can get it. Horseman 9 as Arthur is actually reasonably easy. Herbalist 9 is possible, but very difficult. The Legend of the East outfit can be obtained in Chapter 2 or Chapter 3. For Chapter 3, do all the challenges or all but Herbalist. For Chapter 2, do all the challenges _except_ for Bandit. Basically, complete whatever challenges you can _except_ for the Gambler Challenge. If you want the outfit in Chapter 2, then you _must_ complete the Herbalist Challenge. If you decide that Herbalist 9 is too difficult, then you must advance to Chapter 3 in order to access the horse fence in order to complete the Bandit Challenge. To complete Herbalist 9 as Arthur, steal a buggy from St. Denis. Take the buggy to New Austin. The sniper can't shoot you because the buggy is used as a shield. In settings, camera follow has been turned off. It's best to find a video on RUclips showing how it's done so you will know _where_ to locate the herbs. Eagle Eye won't activate when in the buggy. Now...assuming you complete Herbalist 9, Bandit Challenge isn't necessary. If you decide that Herbalist 9 is too difficult, go on to Chapter 3 and complete Bandit Challenge. Okay...so you're now in Chapter 2 or Chapter 3. You have completed all of the challenges except for Gambler and either Herbalist or Bandit. *NOW* you want to complete the Gambler Challenge. For Gambler 10 (win 3 hands of poker in a row), you want to _replay_ the Chapter 2 Reverend Swanson mission. You can either go to Flatneck Station and win 2 hands and _then_ replay the mission, or you can elect to simply replay the mission. When asked to play poker, naturally you accept. You will _always_ win that first hand. Once you win 3 hands in a row, exit the _poker_ game and rescue Reverend Swanson and return him to camp. You now have the Legend of the East outfit. If you win your third hand in a row _without_ replaying the mission, you will have completed the Gambler Challenge...but will still need to complete Herbalist Challenge or Bandit Challenge (whichever one you didn't complete earlier).
@@iwasright9686it is 100% possible to finish all challenges as Arthur. Look up some RUclips videos, there’s plenty of videos showing Arthur doing Herb 9 and Horseman 9 & 10
HORSEMAN: I always complete this 10 challenges in the beginning of CH 2. As you do not need to ride to Blackwater. You can ride - after the bridge - immediately to the left ‘Island’ (peninsula) (left of Bkackwater). Easy ride. The broken bridge is the way harder option.

After completing the main story and the epilogue i rode south and came across Fort Mercer and remembered half of RDR 1 is John gathering folks to take down this fort. So i thought i will take down it single handedly and kept my distance snipped everyone in the fort and entered the fort there were two enemies with two gatling guns. Took one out with a dynamite and one out by cover shooting. And ended up finding 200 dollars inside the fort. 10/10 game. Entertaining even after completing the game.

tip for the dominos if you want to cheese it slightly to get the 100% completion - play All Fives at the little park in St Denis across the road from the theatre Raleur. its a bit less of a coin toss than draw dominos at Emerald Ranch, and fairly easy to win if you pay attention. but if your opponent gets close to 100 points and looks like winning a game, stand up from the table and sit back down. a new game will start but it doesn't count as a loss unless your opponent actually gets the 100 points. you can't save the game and come back, that will reset the counter on the challenge, so you have to do it all in one game session, but it shouldn't take more than half an hour or so.
@@-yeme- wow thank you will definatly give that a go! Great tip will certainly try that 🤞👍👍👍
I wish they would release Story Dlcs where the Games continues a little bit in Mexico or something like that they could easy sell that ...
You can finish master hunter challenge as arthur. No need to hunt all legendary animals for that
I'm on my second play through,I spent like 3 weeks on it the first time finished like 60 percent and didn't pick it up again for over a year I realized I missed so much not looking for strangers hunting all the animals finding all the treasure doing all the bounties, I've been playing this tim and im only on chapter 3 after a month but have way more weapons, satchels, horses hell I didn't even craft or modify my weapons the forst time this is a game that's not meant to be ran through like Mario it's meant to be immersive and Rockstar knocked this one out the park definitely could be the best game ever made.....
Did you not play RDR1?
That’s just the attitude of someone who’s not old enough to have played RDR when it first came out. All I mud older folks felt the exact same way about John years ago as people do of Arthur now. John is the more interesting character
Wait till you play rdr1 mate. .....you will find that you like them equally after that
@@wildcat8598 not even close. I was a senior in high school when rdr came out. Arthur remains the same best fictional character that's ever been written, at least by rockstar. When John dies I thought "that sucks" when Arthur died I actually got emotional and it's the first fictional death that's ever made me feel anything.
@@michaelstarratt4868 I have. John's not even half as good as Arthur.
Top thing to do after completing the story: DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
What I like doing is roleplaying on the PC version of the game with mods, I would roleplay John and Jack on adventures hunting animals and doing side quests its actually a lot of fun Jack would follow along like a small companion.
Such an excellent idea
How do you even get these type of mods???
@@matthewfuller3971 Nexus Mods
@YCFTNE You can just look for Jack Marston Teen in the mod, he should be number 330 around that.

Why not 100% and Then visit the graves? As I heard, you can do anything after 100% still?
@@rachelsheppard7232 I almost cried when I thought Sadie and Charles died 😭
@number7red619 Damn, I thought I was the only one that had that happen. Really ticked me off every time they shot my horse.
You can actually get Micah’s revolver in colter all you Gotta do is knock an O’driscals gun out his hand and lead him too Micah
This is the only game I’ve ever fully played through more than once
I remember doing the serial killer side quest during 3-4 am, it was so relaxing. I at first was disappointed when I didn't get any unique item in the end, but realized the journey was the reward all long
Great and detailed vid ! Did a first playthrough by only playing the main missions with some side quests and i can see how much i actually missed
Just finished my second play through, prolly do Hamish missions then visit Charlotte and start over
Also hunt for perfect pelts to make all outfits item from the trapper. that should keep my busy for a long while.
I will always enjoy working at Beecher’s Hope. It’s so relaxing and a easy way to make some money
The 15 honour points are handy but it's a lot of work for a measly $8
Herbalist 9 takes a wagon, patience and bags of practice to succeed however and frankly I've never managed it 😅
It's pretty easy besides lote looks better with Arthur
@@imranarmanshah2446how can you get lote as Arthur? I know horseman 9 could perhaps be possible, but not herbalist…right?
@@Mr.Moose.3You are correct. It’s impossible to finish all the challenges as Arthur. Sucks too.
@@iwasright9686it is 100% possible to finish all challenges as Arthur. Look up some RUclips videos, there’s plenty of videos showing Arthur doing Herb 9 and Horseman 9 & 10

Monotonous, tedious and tiresome, it shouldn't be that annoying
I'm still playing game(chapther 3) 300 hours ,playing slowly, almost all crafted and all stuff bought,my map is rich with animals, flowers and findings
Every time I get through the epilogue I wanna stop playing. I just want John to stay with Abigail and Jack
took me about 30hrs to complete arthurs story and about 5 for the epilogue, now i just fish hunt and play poker. It's a good life
Another banger 🤙🏼
HORSEMAN:
I always complete this 10 challenges in the beginning of CH 2.
As you do not need to ride to Blackwater. You can ride - after the bridge - immediately to the left ‘Island’ (peninsula) (left of Bkackwater). Easy ride. The broken bridge is the way harder option.
After getting 100% I went for the platinum trophy. Even more challenges like completing the whole compendium
You should post more often

Finally finished the game after years of owning it. I was missing out for sure
Ever since I completed the story, whenever I play or even think about the game, I get this fuzzy feeling in my stomach. I realized how much this game has impacted me. I am changed man now, but I am one without Arthur. This game will NEVER be the same without Mr. Morgan.
I'm replaying missions for "gold rush" trophy and just couple of them left to reach the Platinum trophy. Grindy as hell but satisfying as well.
Kinda wish the Epilogue continued a bit longer before reaching American Venom. It feels cut short when just starting to build up a story for John, Charles, Sadie, Uncle and family. Some more story content in New Austin would have been nice too.
It’s crazy you can actually feel the difference in the map when playing as Arthur compared to John
Yep i like Arthur's insults vs John's

Just finished the story and saw this video, thanks bro!❤
Sure thing, I hope you enjoyed
I’m presently grinding just the story. I’m skipping absolutely everything else. Just to see how much John can actually do. I’m holding off beginning stranger missions and challenges and side quests.
I do have a fully bonded Arabian and Shire parked in the stable.
At this point, I expect switching protagonist at the end of the game is just going to become a tradition with this franchise, if they ever make another one
I just got really bored of being drawn to be honest so I just went to my saves and went back as Arthur Morgan. It feels so good
Bruh I’m still on chapter 3 and have just been running around as Arthur for the past 6 years lmao I’m scared to finish it

What a video W video 💗🤩
You can also hunt a vampire but idk if you need that for 100%completion.
I broke all the wild horses as Arthur twice without entering New Austin
I finished 100% on story line, 100% on challenges and 100% on compendium. Then I tried RDO (Red Dead Online), but found it full of griefers and modders. It is as good as un-playable. I made my own server (lobby) but that seems to defeat the purpose of the MORPG. So I searched the fora on Facebook and Discord, but only encountered more griefers and modders, or fools who post ridiculous flashing GIFs. I am still looking for some mature players to invite to my RDO server.
Great video. Please more of these
you can get micahs revolver in literally the second mission in the game while you're still in colter lol furthermore you can finish all the challenges and collect all the dinosaur bones as arthur (w/o using any mods)
Dropping fire bottles and dynamite in towns, that's what.
