I think you got to have a degree of difficulty factor ! Dean jones & Steve Waugh played a lot of thier matches against the West Indies amazing fast bowlers ?????
Just from my analysis, Sangakkara was literally the backbone of the Sri Lankan batting line up and was the key to getting them to two consecutive World Cup finals. He even remained the main batsman for Sri Lanka as he got older and was under a lot of pressure due to the Sri Lankan team not providing enough support. He also played in the more difficult era where an average of 40 was outstanding in one day cricket, while Sharma plays in a much faster scoring era. But fair enough if you think Sharma should be higher, he is a magnificent hitter of the ball
@@toosporty what a logic. Then why starc didn't include in top 10 odi bowlers list considering attacking batsman flat track short boundary this rule only applicable for batsman in 90s such biased for 90s people 🥲
I was sure I was going to see Bendan McCallum on this list, at least in the "honourable mentions" - surely he is the equal of some mentioned here. Maybe for the T20 List
Having an average in the 40s was considered excellent back in the early 2000s. Ponting, Sangakkara, Lara, Richards etc all average in the 40s and they were considered as the best ODI batsmen in their era. T20 cricket changed the way ODIs are played and has brought in quicker scoring, bigger hitting and larger totals, which is why a good ODI batsman these days needs to average in the 50s. 300 in Sachins time used to be an incredibly difficult total to chase but now it’s a par score

That Kholi should over take Tendulkar with 18,000 runs, which he behind by almost 6,000 runs. You can only over take a person by the leading runs scorer, until that day comes. You are still trailing the person, Gayle should be ahead of Amla, Sharma, even Lara with over 10,450 runs compares to Amla and Sharma with 9,000 runs. Gayle is the very first batsman in the history of world cup odi, to scored a double hundreds in the competition. The first batsman in the world to scored hundreds in all 3formats,plus his two triple hundreds in test cricket as a opener. Should put him ahead of a lot of them only, 4 batsmen to scored 2 triple hundreds in test cricket. Which is the highest level of cricket, also overall. He has out scored a lot of the batsmen in all 3 categories of cricket, that is what the blogger should be looking at. The overall runs tally at the end of one's career, that is what counts. You cannot change numbers, will remains until the end of times. If you looked at Gayle 3 formats overall, he has scored more runs than all of them on the list away from Tendulkar. Well it’s hard to put a player in the top 10 when he only averaged 32. One of the greatest ODI all rounders
Indian biased list🤣Imagine putting Rohit Sharma but not Brian Lara here🤣
Test cricket was Lara's forte. Sharma has been a major influence on today's ODI game
@@toosporty oh hello
Jab tak Brian Lara tha tab tak Sachin kbhi first rank pe nhi aa paya tha
At first go cricket carefully kid
As a captain dhoni was very good but as a player sangakara should upper then him and Hasim amla
Absolutely true
No game was over until Dhoni was out. Saved India on multiple occasions and even helped them win the world cup
No yuvraj? He is a match winner ❤
Didnt quite make the cut, but great batsman!
My top 10
1.Virat kohli
2.sachin Tendulkar
3.Vivian Richards
4.ab de Villiers
5.Rohit Sharma
6.ricky ponting
7.sangakkara
8.Dhoni
9.hashim amla
10 micheal bevan
Thats fair
@@toosporty I myself got shocked after seeing once i had put ab above viv and tendulkar
I guess now its look much better
No worries at all! All 3 were absolute class batsmen!
I think you got to have a degree of difficulty factor ! Dean jones & Steve Waugh played a lot of thier matches against the West Indies amazing fast bowlers ?????
Amazing list jyst rohit sharks could be higher then Sangakkara at least
Just from my analysis, Sangakkara was literally the backbone of the Sri Lankan batting line up and was the key to getting them to two consecutive World Cup finals. He even remained the main batsman for Sri Lanka as he got older and was under a lot of pressure due to the Sri Lankan team not providing enough support. He also played in the more difficult era where an average of 40 was outstanding in one day cricket, while Sharma plays in a much faster scoring era. But fair enough if you think Sharma should be higher, he is a magnificent hitter of the ball
@@toosporty what a logic. Then why starc didn't include in top 10 odi bowlers list considering attacking batsman flat track short boundary this rule only applicable for batsman in 90s such biased for 90s people 🥲
@Mr C Fan Starc will make the ODI list eventually, only didn’t include because his career isn’t over yet
My top 15 list 1 sachin kohli 3 ponting 4 vv richads 5a b d 6 Lara 7 Sangakkara 8 jayasurya 9 amla 10 dhoni 11 rohit 12 bevan 13 kalis 14 gilkrist 15 ganguly
Where is blaster virendra shawag...n where is match winner Ben stokes
As good as Sehwag was, he only averaged 35 in ODIs in the end. Stokes isn’t anywhere near the top 10 yet
The only few batsman triumps in all formats of cricket ie., Virat, Butler, stokes, Jayawardene
Pity Stokes retired from ODI cricket all ready though
I was sure I was going to see Bendan McCallum on this list, at least in the "honourable mentions" - surely he is the equal of some mentioned here. Maybe for the T20 List
For T20, he’s easily in the top 10. But not for ODI
With average of 30?
Honorable mentions : Gayle, Saeed Anwar , Gilchrist, dravid
Lots of guys I would’ve loved to have had in the HM’s but the video wouldn’t gone on for 20 mins if I included them all
how can the number 1 on your list average 44 , that,s very wrong
He’s played 463 ODIs, that’s an incredible average to hold across that many games, especially given that he’s played in one of the hardest eras
@@toosporty he doesnt pick himself , you cannot average 44 and be the best in the world .i don think he would even make my top 10 ODI batsmen
@@toosporty nonsense , off the top off my head bevan was over 50 , inzamam ul haq aswell . tendulker didnt retire in 2000 , only retired a few years ago . There is no way he is the best ODI batsmen in the world ever . Its as simple as that . I haven't googled or anything but I think averages have come down at the expense of strike rates going up
Sehwag, Kapil, Hayden,gilchrist
All considered but just missed out
Where is Zaheer Abbas who has got over 900 rating points in 1980 s only second after Vive Rechards
Abbas was a very good batsman, but I can’t see who he replaces on this list
You know someone named by Sourav Ganguly…you think Rohit Sharma Hashim amla ms Dhoni are greater odi batsman than Sourav Ganguly.
Of course I know Ganguly, that’s why I included him in the honourable mentions 😇
You have no idea about cricket because of giving no.3 position of sir viv ricards & another vedio in all time best test batsman you put sir don bradman at no.2 🤣🤣 this very laughing
It’s all subjective mate, there’s never gonna be a list everyone agrees on. I’ve followed and played cricket my whole life
Man o man! how can anyone even biased put Viv at 3 in ODI rankings????? how how? Ur test all- rounders and test fast bowlers list raised my expectations so much that first time I started watching these ranking videos from an unofficial cricketing source. But damn! my expectations have come down crashing after watching the Top Test and ODI batsmen rankings. Absolutely disappointed!
Where is Sanath Jayasuriya ?
A very effective opener and played a major role in one of the most successful Sri Lankan teams, but he did only average 32 with the bat in the end. I’d put him in the top 10 ODI all-rounders
Lara, sachin, viv, Ricky should be top 4 bruh..
Kohli with 60 avg and 12300 runs be like : Am i joke to you

I aint arguing with that, Richards is a legend
Where is gilli
Where is inzamam ul haq???
Didn’t make the cut
Excellent lisy.. Rohi tcudve been higher..
Thank you
What about chris gayle he has almost 11,000 in odi
Only at an average of 37. He's one of the greatest T20 batsman
Where is dean jones? He was the best odi batsman in the world for years!!
He was close to making it
Anybody who is writing these foolishness, they are only looking really attention, being a lot of batsmen. Does not reached up to the standards of all times greatest, because saw one person is saying. He has scored over 40,000 runs with 88 centuries, but 250 fifties, also over 450 wickets to his name great, great achievements that.Let me hear the cyber bullies them respond to my comment, ok.
Without Brian Lara no ratings.
Lara made his mark in test cricket
I want Inzamam Ul Haq, Chris Gayle and Shane Watson in that list.
Instead of?
Yes these are great batsman but it is not a perfect list some great btsman like javeed miandad n saeed anwer are also able to include this list
Miandad just missed out
As certified by Wisden itself:-
1. Sir Viv Richards
2. Sachin Tendulkar
3. Brian Lara
4. Dean Jones
5. Michael Bevan
6. Zaheer Abbas
7. Sourav Ganguly
8. Saeed Anwar
9. Ricky Ponting
10. Mark Waugh
Those are all players who were playing before 2000
@@toosporty this list was published in 2001 and the mentioned thespians imho are far better than players of today, irrespective of their SRs or number of hundreds/double hundreds.
lara not better than sourav ganguly in one day
@@neethajaykumarajay5835 Lara combatted and scored runs against officially the greatest ODI bowlers of all-time namely wasim akram, waqar younis, Allan Donald, Glenn McGrath, Shaun Pollock and saqlain mushtaq throughout their prime in the 90s. In fact, Lara was the number one ranked ODI batsman in ICC ratings for approximately 1040 days on the stretch between 1995 and 1998, the fifth longest for any cricketer till date. He was the fourth highest run scorer for the 90s, behind Sachin, De Silva and Mark Waugh despite playing 58 less innings than Sachin.
Ganguly's peak was between 1999 and 2002, but his record wasn't that good against Australia although he was good against RSA and pakistan.
True Lara declined in the final 3-4 years of his career, his peak performances overshadow those of Ganguly.
@@AnkitSingh-pz2ju In one day centuries and batting average total runs ganguly is better than lara so sourav ganguly better than lara I one day sourav ganguly also faces akram, warne, muraleedharan etc

2. Sachin tendulkar avg 44 runs 18k approx

8.Rohit sharma avg 48 runs 9k
9.Hashim amla avg 52 runs 7k

@mukul_valorant Gilchrist is a overatted bully ,only one good knock in his whole career ( 149 vs Sl cwc 2007 final) . When comes to wicket keeping and odi batting Dhoni far ahead of him. Dhoni batting average 50 / overatted grilchrist 35😂.you are going to make him a hero based on one inning he played in the 2007 Wc final . Dhoni is a world cup winning captain and one of the best finishers of all time.
Ricky Pointing is the true goat is australian cricket and also when considering test cricket he is equally great as sachin ,sangakkara and kallis .over 27K runs ,70+ centuries ,6 double centuries ,140 half centuries ,most Icc trophies as a captain ,140 vs ind in 2003 Wc final and the greatest cricket captain ever in cricket history .
When comes to test batting Grilchrist is a baby infront of great sangakkara .

double tons = Sanga - 11 / Grilchrist = 1😂😂
Centuries = Sanga - 38 / Grilchrist = 17
