But I do know that playing big emotional games like this back to back like he says literally changes how you think. So all that baggage in such little time plus posting it to a community who you feel some sort of responsibility to. May seem like nothing but dude I was so drained after every walking dead telltale season just from how dark and immersive they are so I can imagine the content creators feeling like it’s a lot. I have seen it with multiple gamers I like they burn themselves out emotionally.

I love that Carl pretty much GAVE Markus the option to think for himself and make his own imagination. The androids were created to follow orders, and yes while Carl does give Markus orders he lets him do stuff independently. He lets Markus FIND something to do while he eats. He lets Markus paint whatever MARKUS WANTS to paint. It’s just beautiful to see that he’s the reason why Markus is a deviant, not just simply, “faulty programming” or whatever
While it is a nice touch, Carl feels a bit more like a plot device than anything else. I don't want to spit out spoilers here, but Carl just doesn't really feel like a character. Just a living incarnation of the "wise old man" trope. Carl just doesn't really have much of a personality. And I feel that's a problem when Carl is supposed to play a factor in Markus's character and motivations.
Have you found the magazine about Carl? It gives a good amount of backstory to his character, namely the drug and alcohol abuse that led to his poor health and relationship dynamic with his son. He hasn’t been sober for long at the time when the game takes place. Plus the fact that he had a personal relationship with the Cyberlife founder who gifted Markus, an somewhat secret prototype variant. Some speculate that Carl was trying to make Markus become a deviant, and Kamski provided this specific model for that purpose. Which could also explain his ability to deviate other androids. Idk I think the writing, although it has its flaws, is pretty good. It just doesn’t explicitly lay out every detail of every character and leaves some things up to speculation.
Ok so I just found out about this guy from his Last of Us playthrough but he is so funny and i love how open he is with being emotional and willing to understand the deeper meanings that the games try to offer, tldr; why he kinda fine?

I truly hope those awful places are put out of business. Ready made friends you don't have to worry about betraying you. I admit. It is attractive.

I've watched countless youtubers play Detroit: Becomes Human. The very first episode would tell me everything I needed to know about their game play or at least their observation and/or empathy skills. Most youtubers would miss the fish choice altogether. @@StrawSundew ohhh i know!!!! i've replayed dbh at least 10 times since i played it the first time and each time i've played theres been new things to find, but one thing i remember is after you know the twist, the clues they put throughout the game are IN YOUR FACE obvious 😅😭😭 but they did such a good job of putting them throughout and not in an obvious way for your first playthrough, this game is genuinely amazing i can't wait for jett to explore all the options and to see how his mind works 😁😁😁

4:30 Berlin was not getting flamed for the ending of until dawn, I think he got a decent ending at that game iirc, it was actually this game, Detroit. Somehow he got the worst ending that not a lot of people have ever even laid eyes upon.

Aw I feel the nervousness! This was also my first decision-based game too and I loved it. Keep in mind, worst case scenario you kill characters in a certain chapter. You can replay those chapters, and actually viewers love watching people re-do chapters so you can see the different ways the story plays out. You'll be great and I think you'll LOVE this story!!!

The game is a bit slow paced but that being said the story is pretty cool, and the soundtrack is great as well. Can't wait to see what decisions you'll make and how your story plays out! Side note: Try not to pause during decision making events, kinda breaks the immersion of what you would do if you were in their shoes, by pausing you get to be your logical and concise self. And well watching you stress out is pure entertainment for us 😅

@@StrawSundew ohhh i know!!!! i've replayed dbh at least 10 times since i played it the first time and each time i've played theres been new things to find, but one thing i remember is after you know the twist, the clues they put throughout the game are IN YOUR FACE obvious 😅😭😭 but they did such a good job of putting them throughout and not in an obvious way for your first playthrough, this game is genuinely amazing i can't wait for jett to explore all the options and to see how his mind works 😁😁😁
I hope this is the gateway for more decision based stories would love to see him tackle some telltale stuff

Yellow/gold - Learning, adapting to behaviour (It means more than that but I don’t want to spoil, when u encounter it, ill be there to explain it)
Red - In pain, got hurt (emotionally and physically)

Aw I feel the nervousness! This was also my first decision-based game too and I loved it. Keep in mind, worst case scenario you kill characters in a certain chapter. You can replay those chapters, and actually viewers love watching people re-do chapters so you can see the different ways the story plays out. You'll be great and I think you'll LOVE this story!!!

The game is a bit slow paced but that being said the story is pretty cool, and the soundtrack is great as well. Can't wait to see what decisions you'll make and how your story plays out!
Side note: Try not to pause during decision making events, kinda breaks the immersion of what you would do if you were in their shoes, by pausing you get to be your logical and concise self. And well watching you stress out is pure entertainment for us 😅
