You cannot shame someone for liking tea over coffee and then say "You've found it difficult to transition to coffee" as if coffee is the ultimate goal that everyone must transition to. Most of these sales pitches would make me extremely uncomfortable if they just came to me on the road. I might even buy it to get out of the uncomfortable situation.

You are partially correct but when you become the founder you are not just the founder, you are a strategic person, maeketer, Sales guy and all other verticals. The main funda of doing is business is to sell right though it is product or services.
