    BIG BIG BIG IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT!!!
    The reason the sound wasn't playing was because the Neck1 and Neck bones were set to a low priority. Amazingly, the fucking NECK BONES dictate sound. Don't ask me how or why. If your sounds aren't playing for your animation, increase the priority of the neck bones. Or something.
