The little bit of personality injected into every single one of these is just wonderful. I feel like I’m friends with this cat just after watching it walk around and do some movement experiments. The flour too.
Dude. I've been a Scott Joplin fan for YEARS, and discovered Sirloin in only the last month or so. To say hearing "Felicity Rag" over Sirloin's animation is my literal heaven is a universal understatement-
That's really cool to hear, ragtime is my favorite kind of music :D This is the only Joplin rag I've ever learned to play in its entirety, and honestly it's kind of out of my league skill-level wise. I just really want to play some of them when I hear them (granted the only other rags I can do are just the first halves). It's been a couple years but I think I sat at the piano for four straight hours to get the version of Felicity Rag in this video, I was so nervous hitting that last chord lol
Oh my gosh, no way! It's my favorite too! I'm happy that you learned how to play it in full. That's something I'm working toward with Magnetic Rag. But hey, I think you did really good. The tempo was also a nice one for this rag in particular. You did an amazing job on this! Also, while I have you attention, I just want to say that I very much enjoyed your Lighting video. It's just a visually satisfying video :>
LOVE the head turn 3 different ways. the flour sack is so comedic. love all the facial expressions on #23! would be interested to see you reference youtube meme "Waffle falling over" in your style kinda like #3
You’re learning well! Animation is very hard to learn, especially as a hobby. Im also trying to learn it, and I can’t wait to see how you progress! But, take your time as well. 👍
I wish there are more people like you that just see these anthropomorphic characters in a normal rather than stupidly shouting “oMG A fURrY sOMeONe gET tHE SHotGUn”, seriously I can distinguish between those abomination creation to these normal characters easily.
I'm so glad youtube showed me these. Seriously the amount of personality and talent on display here is fascinating. It might just be enough to push me to practice animation like ive always wanted. Either way, fantastic video. Fantastic channel. Fantastic artist. Thank you and keep it up. :)
Ohh looks like the algorythm finally found your channel haha, your content and style is amazing, I can't stop rewatching this animation practice, looks soo good! Would love to see an animated story of your rats!
The character reminds me of squirrel and hedgehog. Really nice animation, it is inspiring! Once I improve my basic art skills, I will try out animations.
Your stuff is great! What softwares do you like to use? I'm sort of looking for recommendations, because I tried a trial for Toon Boom Harmony and it won't even launch a new scene, and their support is stumped lol
This was made while I was still using Photoshop + a $20 plugin to make it more animation-friendly, still about as non-ideal for animation as it gets though. Since then I've moved to Clip Studio Paint. There's a reason Photoshop never advertises its animation features lol
I just wanna put something as a disclaimer, I'm pretty sure these exercises aren't ranoed based on difficulty, they're just some that you can do to learn. Because holy crap, turn arounds are so goddamn complicated
Part of frame-by-frame 2D animation is time charts, it's sort of like a guide for when poses should ease in and out of each other to make them flow together smoothly. The numbers are what frame the drawing is on and 2D animation is usually done at 24fps.
I have them completed but they're just floating hands that don't make a very compelling video on their own. When I do another compilation of smaller exercises like this one I'll throw them in there somewhere :P

These have so much personality and character it almost hurts. I am... stunned by the skill here. My god.

@@artyom1264 nothing wrong with furries, regardless of what they are. Unless they're cubs in which case I agree they're man-made horrors

These are great! Amazing piano too! :0
That "DREAD" face made me immediately want a short horror film in your style :)
He inspired me a lot to rethink the animation industry 👍✨
Your animations are incredibly inspiring! I’m glad I discovered your channel :)

Damn, you belive that water car nonsense?
Impressive stuff!
Floor sack is really cute!

After seeing these animations, my brains encourage me to go back to making tanks animation but my response is… “Negative!”
Honestly would love to do animation like that, but barely know where to start, I hope you make it big with what ya like to do!

Cool
Hi! I love these a lot. I’ve been thinking about doing the exercises too and was wondering how long each approx took?
The ones in this video took about 250 hours total, a little over two months if I remember correctly. Takes some patience but the payoff is worth it :)
@@SirloinBurgersthanks for the reply! Your work is inspiring :D

Personality is hard enough, but with eyes blinking and mouth sync that even worst 😂

Woah these are so cool!!! But im not sure what the lines and letters at the side are for… Are they to show what comes next and after?

Poggers
I need a SirloinBurgers animated series, stat
3:07 IS THAT THE PETER GRIFFIN POSE??
What did you use to understand time charts?
"The art of inbetweening: Time Charts" from Toniko Pantoja's channel. He provides a bunch of examples to make it easier to understand :)
what program do you use?
This one was while I was still using Photoshop, but I've since moved to Clip Studio Paint :)
@@SirloinBurgers Thanks!
We will never see 25 and 26 ;(
