They're promoting as a Global Girl Group. They're catering to wider audience. I just hope next comeback they'd release japanese ver. of their songs coz their pre debut rap video Harvey and Jurins Japanese verse is fucking insane.
About the “resemblance” to of XG ‘Tippy toes’ and le serrafims fearless I think the vibe of the song is similar but Tippy toes was released first.( just saying Because people discovered XG after their resent ‘comeback’ and accused them of copying le serrafim (which is ridiculous btw)after hearing tippy toes even tho tippy toes was released before we even knew a group called le serrafim was gonna debut)
Sadly it seems like a lot of people don't know that they're meant to be an international girl group which is why they're singing in English. Most likely if they get more famous as time goes on than they will release songs in Japanese and Korean. Also i know a lot of k-pop fans aren't j-pop fans so y'all won't know that these kind of girl power girl groups don't do well in Japan so it was smart of them to promote in Korea first.
Not every song should be full in sounds, Tippy Toes is a minimalistic song and it's great in its own style, it's addictive and super sexy, while Mascara's production is all over the place but in a good way, and it is addictive af too. Two totally different styles but both are awesome.
The AAVE is because of the lyrics and rap writers who are AA, so I think that's why it has so much AAVE. I kinda get it tho They are also aiming to be a global girl group so that's why they sing in English and are promoted in Korea
Their concept is Hip Hop/RnB. They were produced by a 2nd Gen kpop idol member, I think maybe you might appreciate it more if you watched their pre-debut stuff , cause I think it's more about showcasing their talent rather than just admiring the whole production or song. love your channel ♡

Because of the global girl group thing, they are singing in English. Its an international girlgroup (the member is all japanese but their market is international) not korean nor japanese thats why there is no other language other than english
No no japanese in their songs. Making them a global girl group was the smartest move because they will sing in english. If the song had any japanese in it, Koreans would be making excuses not to play them. The reason why Jpop never made it big out of Japan is because Jpop doesn't need to. Any Japanese artist can make good money without even being known outside of japan. Japan has the second biggest music market in the world. Now Avex ceo and Simon Jakops former Kpop idol and Avex trainee were thinking outside the box when they put this together. They are trying to expand outisde of Japan. They are under AVEX, which is a big Japanese music label that has been the center of J-pop industry, and produced artists like Ayumi Hamasaki. Another piece of info to understand J-pop: J-pop didn’t really needed to export abroad like K-pop cuz the domestic market was big enough to profit, meaning their music style has only followed domestic trends (which led to some creative music like Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu). The problem is big labels like Avex didn’t even allow their MVs to be played by other countries by limiting license etc.. BUT with XG they decided to finally open to the world. Their company xgalx is sub label of avex trax. The main producer Simon was a former 2nd gen kpop idol. They used the kpop system to train these girls for last 5 years, the girls know english, korean & Japanese so the transition into Korean and Japanese releases will be easy for them. They have nothing to do with YG, despite the rumor. They are under AVEX, which is a big Japanese music label that has been the center of J-pop industry, and produced artists like Ayumi Hamasaki.
Another piece of info to understand J-pop:
J-pop didn’t really needed to export abroad like K-pop cuz the domestic market was big enough to profit, meaning their music style has only followed domestic trends (which led to some creative music like Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu).
They actually just started promoting on Korean music shows.
