I became a fan 15 seconds into the song. I thought i was being biased since I'm nikkei and i will always support japanese anything because of it but no. These girls are so crazy talented and beautiful.
If they've been prepping for this debut since 2017, that means the girls have grown together since they were in their early to late teens and literally grew up as performers together. They've got great group chemistry already, and the level of difficulty for their debut means we've got some great stuff in store.
@@Lydia_Ranki That's nothing new. There are Ten-Year-Olds who start training. Twice leader Jihyo is one of those. Some idols and some Soloists have DEBUTED at 13 years old. Same thing happens in Ballet, lots of dancers start training as TODDLERS. Not even kidding.

They killed it. Super strong debut. The formation/transitions were seamless. No weak links in the dance line, that's for sure! Hinata didn't get much attention in the MV, but she's killing it. The choreo and the song were perfect for their debut.
Same reaction. "Overwhelmed" is what I felt when I watched the dance video. The final chorus until the end was so good that I had to watch it multiple times. Best floor choreo for any GG I've seen.
I loved the whole analysis, this song is stuck in my head all day long, I seriously wake up singing it, it's crazy! And that dance practice is such a pleasure to watch

I think the flowers at the end were a metaphor for them throwing flowers in the grave of their collective competition. That's my take anyway. Keeping the competition on their tippy toes.

I just got done watching this MV. I was actually catching up with K-pop releases from the last month or so, but I randomly decided to click on their music video - I am flabbergasted. And I’m with you on auto-stanning. Like… how does one not? I never even heard of this group, which is why I think I went ahead and watched the MV. The thumbnail alone gave me expectations that I assumed would not be met. Alas, those expectations were FAR SURPASSED. How is this a debut? How do they even exist???

His father is Korean and his mother is Japanese, he has Japanese nationality and was born in the United States. XG's song composition and group concept were all produced by him. Also, Jacobs mentioned that XG is an all-Japan girl group that was created as a collaboration project between Korea and Japan Avex. And if you watch XG's demo video, you can see the rooftop overlooking the Han River, the background of X Academy (YG below), and 1MILLION Dance Studio. It is known that they traveled back and forth between Korea and Japan to receive vocal and dance training. 'Tippy Toes' is a good song in English and I expect XG to do good as a global group.

I thought it was interesting that Hinata didn’t have any vocal or rap parts, she’s strictly a dancer in this song. I’m curious if this will be the same going forward. I watch a lot of dance practices and they are along with probably Enhypen the best in kpop/jpop in my opinion. I also think Twice have super clean dance practices they just maybe aren’t as technical.

You mentioned their visuals at around 4:00, and I imagine their "art" visual means something like zombies. Before gathering as XG, they were active in each different fields. Models, Athletes, or different training systems, etc. They died once and became zombies, and in order to become XG pursuing a new music style that skillfully incorporates KPOP and Western music and so on.
