So I order Asian/korean skin care from places like RoseRose shop, or even Yesstyle. What's great is the orders usually come with little sachet samples of skin care - face wash, toner, serum, that sort of thing. So I can pack a lot of little sachets and not take up so much space. I'm also a fan of DHC's travel pack - tiny refillable bottles of oil cleanser and moisturizer. And when I'm on long flights, I pack a couple of sheet masks! Noise cancelling headphones/ear buds are also utterly necessary. And snacks. All the snacks. So much snackage.
This was very helpful, thank you! I would add that I’ve seen someone mention that the cold/hot water is not good to use on the plane. It comes out of filters that are never cleaned.
Definitely one of the most sensible and useable (at least to me) list of must haves. It's very apparent that you are a frequent traveler and have learned from trial and error. I love picking up new packing hints. I travel mainly internationally and some of your suggestions will definitely be adopted for my own personal packing list. Thank you! :)
Glad it was helpful & thanks for watching! 😊 I love those clear bags to organize my purse or carry-on. It makes it so much less chaotic in my bag. I'm in the process of working on a few other packing list ideas videos for next month. Stay tuned!
I love how much I can relate to you being a light packer, I am very much like that. I'd love for you to try the bento bag that I always use. Its from Nomad Lane, its just perfect. You would love it!
yess! 💯 It's so much less stress to just have everything with you (carry-on) and easier to carry. I'm going to check out the Nomad Lane one. Mahalo for the suggestion! 😊
Good call! Great for jotting down notes or important info. I used to only put notes in my phone - until one trip, my phone battery died. Since then, 100% pen/notebook for me too!
Hi Miriam, I LOVE your Video's, they are SOO Informative and detailed! So, I am thinkng about staying at the Marriott Beach Resort right by the beach, I know that you know it. Do you like this Hotel? Is that a good choice to stay? Any other Favortie Hotels that you would recommend? Thanks!
Aw thanks! You're so kind. Marriott is a nice property and has pretty nice pool too. It's right in the center-ish of Waikiki so in the hustle and bustle. A lot of tours pick up there too since it's a major hotel. If you'd like something just out of the hustle & bustle, Outrigger Reef is another great option. It's oceanfront and quieter since it's not on the main strip Kalakaua Ave. Plus, they just had a renovation over COVID so it's niceee. They have a nice restaurant there too (Kani Ka Pila Grille) that has live local music every night 6-9pm. It's casual and a good spot for drinks/appetizers! But, then again, I absolutely LOVE live music 😊
HI Miriam, I have 2 More Questions about my upcoming trip to Oahu! I have heard from a few people in Oahu video's that Crime is an issue in Honolulu, is this True?! Also, I have seen a few video's Now about the prevalence of Box Jellyfish on Waikiki beaches, in the water which as you know are VERY Dangerous! Should I be scared to go in the water? I don't know How to protect myself and I really want tot go in the water when I visit! Thoughts?! Thanks SOOO Much!
As for crime, I'd use the same awareness as any major city. For box jellyfish, I'd keep an eye on the signs at the beach. It typically is only certain times of the month and the lifeguards post up warning signs. If you're not sure, check with the beach lifeguards before getting in the water. They are super helpful! 😊
Am coming back to Waikiki finally and wondering if you can recommend a restaurant like the shore bird was? Also best way to get to Dole plantation or the ranch without taking a circle island tour? Is there also the coupon book for Waikiki still? It used to have things for the Pearl Harbor and bishop museum and such in it. Thanks ❤️. Been watching the channel for the past half year to help get us an idea of the place now compared to when we were there last s decade ago! Love the channel!
Monkeypod is now where Shorebird was! It's still under construction so depending on when you are on-island, it might be open! Kualoa Ranch has their own tours (movie sites, ATV, horseback, etc.) and is the best way to get in the ranch as all of their tours are paid-tickets. Dole Plantation is an option with a rental car and is about a 45 minute drive. You could potentially take public transport ($5.50 for day pass) but will need to transfer buses so allot about 2 hours one-way for public bus. A lot of the coupon books have cut back due to COVID and a lot less vendors are offering coupons/savings as they are trying to recoup from our shutdown. Hopefully soon though! Thanks so much for watching 😊 more videos coming soon!
Hello, Thanks for your great tips. Going to Hawaii for the first time for 25 year wedding anniversary! And hve been watching your channel lately. So I know that Airlines have their restrictions and my question is ..is the clear bag a quart sized bag? and can you carry it on your carry-on as well as another one in your personal bag as well?
Congrats on 25 years!! Thanks for watching. It's both: a clear quart-sized bag. Liquids in the bag have to be less than 3.4 oz (100 ml). You can only have 1 bag per person and depending on the airport it can be screened separately. I fly with TSA Precheck so I've never had to remove my clear bag. I usually keep it in my personal bag so I can keep the bottles upright since my shampoo/conditioner bottles usually expand and leak if I keep them squished in my carry-on.
Which travel case is featured in your video? I visited the AWAY website and was just curious as to which one will be more suitable for the overhead bin. Is it the "The Carry-On or "The Bigger Carry-On?
The one in the video is the "The Carry-on" (smaller one) & it's the one I'd recommend. I've used it on all flights and never had a problem flying inter-island, mainland, and international. The Bigger Carry-on works better for international flights on the bigger planes but may need to be gate checked for smaller planes. I also pack my carry-on pretty full - the smaller one doesn't look heavy so I've never had anyone weigh it. If you buy a lighter color, I'd buy the Magic Eraser - it scrubs off any scuffs so the carry-on looks fresh and brand new.
Thank you so much. I also meant to ask you what travel product would you recommend to carry and sort out medications and vitamins. I use to put them in zip-lock bags, but some meds look alike. I don't want to carry so many little bottles.
Thanks for watching! I think the one in the video was discontinued because I wasn't able to find a link. I did find a similar one though: amzn.to/3OurfQj. It's a different brand but similar style. Hope it helps!
@@YestoHawaii Thanks for the link to the light! Love that it charges by USB vs battery. The battery in the little flashlight that I travel with burned out during my last trip, right when I needed it most!
This specific brand does. I was super impressed. I tried their conditioner bar but it didn’t lather the way I expected. But the shampoo bar is on point 👌🏼
The one I have is the Ella 2.0 in black which came with a lunch box and shoe bag. There's also the Minkee Blue Carly tote which is smaller (maybe 2/3 the size) for 1/2 the price too!
When I shop, I loveee more details. I hold it closer so viewers can see it bigger, like the text on the product like in 14:51 or exfoliants of the product 15:00. Or the specific dongles 06:34 - whether it's USB-C, regular, or lightening. Will keep that in mind though possibly for bigger products! Thanks for the feedback! 💛

Does the shampoo lather up like the liquid kind? Never used a block before

What is the label name for the pillow neck
Aloha! Here’s the link: amzn.to/3PwqV3q love this travel pillow!
Hi, can you tell me where best place to purchase the Minkee Blue bag please I couldn’t find link on your page .
Try this one: minkeeblue.com/?ref=yestohawaii

Thank you my wife very interested . We sometime s come to Hawaii with a carry on from Australia and buy couple cases to return
The bag label the white ticker, blocked the view of the bag
?
That label at the bottom left is rather annoying blockage. Serves no purpose. .
Aloha blasterblaster50! Are you talking about the white text with red dot on each item?
@@YestoHawaii correct!
FYI we can clearly see the items you are displaying just by holding them in your hand… No need to hold it up close to the camera.
