Also as a beginner I’m realising speedball is trash. Look for an alternative. I’ve started using permaset aqua. About to try there puff additive. But I’ve been watching heaps of videos. And keep hearing to use a base paint then do the puff on top. Heavy materials seem to be best as light seems to hold moisture and shrinks as it drys the puff on fabric.
You should take the puff ball paint back to Michaels and ask the manager if she could watch ur video....Maybe she can get you sponsorship threw Michaels....Learning with you and Michaels is awesome! next time?
I did end up taking it back.. I went to 3 stores and all of their stock was bad! haha Even the reviews on amazon (canada) say the same thing... so I guess this stuff can go bad quite easily, or maybe it got frozen during transportation when it was cold out. Either way, if anyone buys this - they need to check it out first!
You need add a white base first then the color(mixed with puff)
