Im 18 and I have a '77 skybird(my first car) they are nice. The car is dark blue now and the interior still looks great. It also has a spoiler and wings:)
My first grade teacher, so it would have been around 1981, Ms Faucetta...she had the Sky Bird. I thought it was so cool back then, but even as a 6yr old, I recognized it was not the hi-performance version, as my dad had an assistant that drove a black Trans Am with all the goodies. Super cool cars though. One day I'll build one.
I knew a guy that had one of the turbo V6 cars. Put your foot all the way to the floor and keep it there. After a solid second of what felt like an eternity then BAM! It was almost like riding a roller coaster. He sold it.
My dad had a friend with a Pontiac dealership when I was a kid. One day, we went to see him and dead centre of the showroom was a red ws6 firehawk with a t-top. I've wanted one since
I’ve seen the type k. The banshee around 90iah prototype. Trans Am nationals in out town. Won 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th not in that order but with dad showing grandmother and grandpa’s 75 Trans Am. Cool video. I have a 73 TA and 71 Formula 400 but never showed now later in life. Still have the 95 they replaced the 75 with as well as the 75. Love these cars. I grew up in a 71 Formula 400 and 77 short bed Chevy 4x4 400. Things have changed so much. I still have love for it I guess.
Does anyone recall the "1979-1981 Trans Am Talon" ???? it had a hotted up small block chebby, extended fenders to cover super wide wheels, extensively modified suspension, Scheel Seats, Chrome rollbar and tons of other mods - all equalling the most expensive and low volume Trans Am ever? I remember it featured in Car Craft magazine.
My buddy had a 69 trans am he bought brand new I think it was one of the better looking muscle cars back then don't remember if it was a Ram Air 3 or 4 but it sure was fast
Guy back home had a red bird. Car was perfect and mint from the firewall back…. Front end was smashed. But it was a kool looking car inside. Never seen one rolling in good shape though.
I had a 79 TA with the WS6 PKG and the 400 4 speed t tips etc.... Mine had a Muncie M22 in it not the super T10 tho which was fine with me. God I wish I still had her. Oh well it was fun while it lasted lol.
2:15 whoever put the trim on the side of the Skybird looks like they were mimicking my work as a teenager. 10th anniversary bird looks like it the flares chopped down a little to match the bodylines like Foose did. 20 yrs ago, saw a 69 Trans Am at a weekly car show, blue and white, thought at the time it had to be rare. Regardless of engine or interior, bet that car's quadrupled in value since then!
In my opinion, they are all great. Narrowing it down would be my #1 major obstacle. So, the ones that have easily made it into my top choice list of these would be as follows: a '73-4 w/ 455SD, the 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ very much same engine as Buick's Grand National, the early '90s Firehawk, and the much later super high horsepower much later 455SD remake w/ metallic blue exterior color. So that's 4 of them. The '77 could also make this cut if it ain't got the Olds 403 for a motor as opposed to an actual Pontiac 400, preferably a 400 in the W72 package which I don't think actually made it into Trans Ams until '78. Just occurs to me that there have been many Trans Am engines that were way better than the Olds 403. And I never cared for the 2nd generation's post '78s w/ their over-size bumpers, not even when those were band new in Fall 1978 when I had just turned 7 years old and saw them in pictures.
I have a 1990 GTA and i absolutely love it but that 10th Anniversary is peak in my opinion its that i think about where i here the words American muscle
What about the 76 50th anniversary, the last year for the 455 ,the first year for t-top. I have read this model with a 4 speed and rear window louvers was only like 212 built and possibly the best looking t-a ever made.
89 trans am 20th anniversary it had a buick 231 turbo charged, the 74 trans am sd 455 ,in bucaneer red with auto is very rare, the trans am world wide has no pontiac emblems on it,it was custom made
You forgot one of the rarest! 1973 Brewster green 455SD T/A. Even rarer with 4 speed. Why is this rare besides the color/engine combo? Because 1973 was the only year you could get a green T/A until 1989 GTA came out in green
During this video at time Stamp - 6 min 43 sec to 7 min when you say the car embarrassed it's coporate cousin ; you said Camaro but you showed a Sting Ray Corvette and probably meant to say Corvette. Nice video overall though.

69’ and 70’ best years as far as engines are concerned!

I had a 1989 SLP IROC-Z, it was a beast for the time!!!
My friend had the 1979 Trans Am Lmt. Edition. It was an awesome-looking car. He drove it so slow that no bugs got on the windshield. Hahaha!
Well, you beat me to the punch with the super duty 455
My dad had a friend with a Pontiac dealership when I was a kid. One day, we went to see him and dead centre of the showroom was a red ws6 firehawk with a t-top. I've wanted one since
I seen those camaro firebird conversions. I like them.

I had a rare 1975 455 H.O , oniy 867 of those, 4 speed Hurst manual. Not a super duty but, still.
Say Camaro while showing a Vette. The 79 10th Anniversary Edition is nice looking. I would love a Type K.

74 Super Duty.
89 turbo, 72 455 SD, 92 firehawk, ws6 base. For me
My buddy had a 69 trans am he bought brand new I think it was one of the better looking muscle cars back then don't remember if it was a Ram Air 3 or 4 but it sure was fast
What about Myrtle Motors 428 '68 Firebird?

TransAm! SD-455! Glenn
my FAV 😊🎉
At 7:01 that's a Corvette not Camaro...
On the 69 TA bend the lever for the secondaries and have GTO power. If you don’t know look it up lol
The turbo 6 trans am used the the Grand National drivetrain.
Type k is amazing ! A 2nd gen firebird shooting brake , just take my money !!!!
The K I like it... 😎
I have a 2000 firebird formula NHRA special edition. Only 97 ever made
1973 SD 455 4spd Formula Firebird
The one I get is the one you failed to mention and that was the 73 firebird formula 455 SD which they only made 58 of
The 403 V8 was actually an Oldsmobile engine Jim was getting rid of everybody’s engines because the corporate rule was it started in 77
You forgot the"MACHO t/a" no one remembers the macho
I have a 1990 GTA and i absolutely love it but that 10th Anniversary is peak in my opinion its that i think about where i here the words American muscle
All of them
Who came up with the graphics for that 35th Anniversary edition? Yuk!
What about the 76 50th anniversary, the last year for the 455 ,the first year for t-top. I have read this model with a 4 speed and rear window louvers was only like 212 built and possibly the best looking t-a ever made.
I had a 89 TTA, it was a beast, but terribly made.
They missed a 1 of 1 69 Ram Air 5
The Trans Am Tallon was pro-touring before there ever was a pro-touring movement, made by DKM Mecham, the group that made the Macho Trans Am
Those ain't New Turbo wheels for the transamp. Those turbo wheels were already on the corvette
What about the 43 formula super duty 455s ?
Yah
89 trans am 20th anniversary it had a buick 231 turbo charged, the 74 trans am sd 455 ,in bucaneer red with auto is very rare, the trans am world wide has no pontiac emblems on it,it was custom made
So I know a guy who got one of them yellow trans ams there with no motor or transmission and he cut it up to put a big block in it
Formula Firehawk.
Yeah? Like everyone else on here, I’ve never seen any of these
You forgot one of the rarest! 1973 Brewster green 455SD T/A. Even rarer with 4 speed.

Why did you shoe a corvette then

AI RUclips videos need to stop.
Not everybody has a radio voice, but maybe if you made more than 1 video, you might know the work it takes to make good videos.
