This was great!!! Thanks Wiztar, 2old4toys, Prime92 and StryderPrime!! Awesome collaboration review!!! This was well worth the wait!! It will be a long time before I get the PG Red Frame but it will happen someday...someday...
i just ordered this from hobbywave yesterday and i so cant wait until it gets here, its my first perfect grade, and since i bought my first astray red frame high grade 1/100 ive fallen in love with the astray line and ive gotten all 5 of the prototype colors, red, blue, green, gold, and mirage (had to do some customizing on the blue to get the prototypeshoulders) and i also have the master grade red frame, so now a perfect grade is sure to be a good addition to the astray collection
Yes!!! Finally Part 3 is here! :D Everything was so amazing! So hilarious! So informative! You've topped yourselves again, gentleman (and lady)! Instant favorite! xD
It touched my heard! Prime's part was great. I'd seen these pictures before but never grasped any bit of the story around it. I should try to get my hands on the mangas (Tokyopop has several volumes in english). Great finish of the triology.
Oh my. Now I see why the review took so long to be released. The editing, effects and overall presentation was superb. Phenomenal production values. A review well worth the wait. (^.^) Wonder if I should get a VF-22S...
Oh crap now I can not bugger any of ya two with my constant nagging for part 3 ^^ Very well done gentlemen & lady! Sure shows how much you got into video editing and effects. I still guess this will be my first PG if I have the time and money sometime, so I guess I side with Wizartar then .. ;D
@TheRoyalJesster The Strike and Red Frame share a lot of parts and the back connector is the same, you just need to remove the Red Frames two beam sabers and move it's backpack out of the way. It's a proper connection.
@bokiopagulayan The Red Frame is based off the Strike Gundam so has the port in it's back to allow it to attach. But the Red Frame's backpack needs to be moved out of the way and the two beam sabers removed altogether.
I would like to comment one thing. Bandai is continually evolving there product line every year. High grades are slowly becoming amost Master Grades, Master Grade are reaching Perfection to there PG counter parts, and Perfect Grade are transforming to something totally amazing. We are already half way thru the year and look what Bandai has line up for the next 4-5 months. Soon we will see new kits from the 00 Movie and the 2nd video of Unicorn, image the kits will see then!
@MorganDrake88 Spare parts, they can be hand if you want to customize another kit. If you have the space it's generally I good idea to hang on to them.
@Wizartar Darn. For the money they ask for PGs, it'd be nice if they included a stand or in the least engineer their other stands to take a PG. I guess they're starting to catch on to that with the Aile Striker pack and 00 Raiser. Thanks for the reply and info.
Just finished my own Red Frame. I was hoping it'd replace the 1/100 Sinanju on my desk but now it's ironically overshadowed by it. Now it's sandwiched between my MG Hi-Nu and an original Megazord.
A very impressive colab indeed, quite enjoyable to watch. I can hardly guess how long total build time was for this, but it has to be immense. My longest build time so far is about 30 hours on the ZZ and that was me being meticulous. I'd like to try a PG, but am not sure I should try it with the Red Frame as the first.
@blahblahblah6531 The inner frame henshin'ed into the Joker Frame! =D Both the PG Strike and Red Frame use the same inner frame so the Alie pack fits on if you remove the beam sabers and move the backpack out of the way.
If I were building it I'd probably try to alter the LED unit in the head to hold two LEDs instead of one. This is pretty easy if you're good with electronics. Sticking just to the kit-supplied LED unit, though, your best bet is to move the LED back as far as you possibly can, and diffuse the light. If you can relocate the LED far enough back that it can easily reach both eyes, stuffing the area behind the eyes with cotton is a popular way to spread the light. It might work. :)
at 4:06, u guys forgot something that was hidden during the build, that little white and red part below the cockpit can swing downwards leaving room for the cockpit to open a little more easily
Really hope you somehow get a chance to do a review on that Yamato 1/24 Patlabor Ingram 1. For everyone else its the mecha figure between the two RX-78-2s @ 21:55. Have one myself, and while theres one review out there; it just seems more like a video montage.
Watching your review and i’ve got so curious what would you guys think about pg exia(except prime92 cause i watch her review about pg exia) since it’s have really good light gimmick but the inner frame doesn’t speak up a pg’s kit in term of detail
Well, PG Strike Freedom's coming, I can't help but to wonder how big will it be exactly after I've finished it? The wing's massive for MG release (along with Destiny's EBM Wings of Light), I can expect it to take up alot of space for PG.
@chappi1065 You only get one of the sword with the Red Frame, the clear parts includes the other sword. At this point getting the clear parts could be difficult, ebay would be the first place I'd look.
Wow, thanks for this awesome review and great work. This is a perfect grade review! btw. I don't like the 00 raiser because it has no chromed pistons, what a shame for that price.
@TheRoyalJesster If you can get it at a good price and you like the design then go for it. I got mine for about 50% off once you factor in shipping during the Black Friday sales last year at HLJ. The problem is the inner frame is very simple compared to the old PG's, since this review I've built the MKII PG, that's the best PG yet.
@chappi1065 I've spent countless hours searching, no luck yet. There's an ebayer that sells a resin copy, but beware, there might be quality issues here. I'm thinking of just buying spare parts runners via hlj for a second Gerbera Straight (runners V, W, Y, X, and Z, according to Tiger Pierce manual that came with the bonus set), but who knows how much that'll cost!
Wizartar, Prime92 and 2old4toys, thank you for the review!! i love it!! I also like to buy the PG Red Astray, but my problem is, it's cost, too expensive, and also it will be my first PG if ever i would buy one. I would like to challenge myself building a PG, and also experience the joy building my favorite Gundam as a PG. to change things up a bit, have you guys tried building a knockoff gundam? hope to get a reply to you guys soon. thank you!
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 You only get one of the sword with the Red Frame, the clear parts includes the other sword. At this point getting the clear parts could be difficult, ebay would be the first place I'd look.
@bigdonkey14 Most places like HLJ, Amiami and some times Hobbysearch. Haven't found anyone in Europe that has better value then just doing direct to Japan with SAL shipping, takes about 2 weeks to get.
@drakozero8 For me the best PG is the MK-II, but the most poseible I've built is the Red Frame. Ratings: 1. MK-II, 2. RX-78-2, 3. Red Frame. But go with the one you like the most as there's no bad PG, you just get different build experiences as they're all constructed differently.
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 just type in perfect grade red frame, and you should find them. Keep in mind this is only for the clear parts and not the kit itself.
Hi! I just finished my Astray Red Frame Perfect grade.. I just wanted to know, there are many parts left, and there's no manual for such parts.. what should I do with them?? Thanks a lot, and nice videos by the way!
Why are there so many extra pieces in the box ? for the 1/60 I have about 30 extra pieces including many in the M holder. Please help, im very confused
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 Nope, those are the places I'd check. Knowing Bandai they could do a re-issue in the future as a con exclusive, the those might show up ebay. For the time being I think you're out of luck.
This was great!!! Thanks Wiztar, 2old4toys, Prime92 and StryderPrime!! Awesome collaboration review!!! This was well worth the wait!! It will be a long time before I get the PG Red Frame but it will happen someday...someday...
Goodness colabs are a lot of hard work... but done well they are monumentally magical.
I like you how you guys simplify the reviews but very detailed
That stand comes with the Skygrasper and is meant for the PG Strike, and since the Red Frame has the same inner frame it works.
i just ordered this from hobbywave yesterday and i so cant wait until it gets here, its my first perfect grade, and since i bought my first astray red frame high grade 1/100 ive fallen in love with the astray line and ive gotten all 5 of the prototype colors, red, blue, green, gold, and mirage (had to do some customizing on the blue to get the prototypeshoulders) and i also have the master grade red frame, so now a perfect grade is sure to be a good addition to the astray collection
Definitely worth the wait, this is truly the best gundam review yet, and very informative. Hoping you guys have more reviews coming up.
Really enjoyable trilogy of videos guys, hope to see more of em in the future.
Love the Red Dwarf Reference at the end!
This is a great video! XD Excellent production on the Perfect Grade Astray. I am glad to contribute just a bit to this video.
Yes!!! Finally Part 3 is here! :D
Everything was so amazing! So hilarious! So informative!
You've topped yourselves again, gentleman (and lady)!
Instant favorite! xD
It touched my heard!

Great finish of the triology.
@noc007 That stand comes with the Skygrasper and is meant for the PG Stike, and since the Red Frame has the same inner frame it works.
that was an epic review. now i understand why it took so long
finally the 3rd part is done yay great job to you all
@Wizartar Thanks man, I was getting crazy to find out of what use they could possibly have been.
Oh my. Now I see why the review took so long to be released. The editing, effects and overall presentation was superb. Phenomenal production values. A review well worth the wait. (^.^)
Wonder if I should get a VF-22S...
Finally. Nice to see you're back at this. :D Love the humor.
Oh crap now I can not bugger any of ya two with my constant nagging for part 3 ^^ Very well done gentlemen & lady! Sure shows how much you got into video editing and effects. I still guess this will be my first PG if I have the time and money sometime, so I guess I side with Wizartar then .. ;D
@eckergus Thanks, picked up the 1/60 fan racer and the VF-1S kit, both are very nice. But haven't built either yet, getting my painting style honed.
Good show! You guys do the best video packages/reviews!
But the Red Frame's backpack needs to be moved out of the way and the two beam sabers removed altogether.
ur the best gundam reviewer ive come across in youtube ! Thank you!!!
I would like to comment one thing. Bandai is continually evolving there product line every year. someone spent time on editing regardless of the mobile suit this was a high quality vid
@darfjono The 1/48 scale Megasized Gundam RX-78-2... which is from the last review.
awesome kit, awesome review
Your fan opening's too weird but so fun to watch because it's surprising!
-R78
@Necromancer1230 Both, places like Amiami or HLJ will ship from Japan to most anywhere.
Now this is an awesome video!
Very good review, best i've ever seen
bloody hell that is a well put together video! Is that shot of the red frame doing the splits on two cans a roundabout reference to Rob Van Dam?
Awesome video, dude. Now you've given me a reason to get a PG kit. (I've assembled the Perfect Grade Evangelion once, but that's a different story.)
@Wizartar Darn. For the money they ask for PGs, it'd be nice if they included a stand or in the least engineer their other stands to take a PG. I guess they're starting to catch on to that with the Aile Striker pack and 00 Raiser.

I love the Astray Red Frame! It's my BEST PG!

finally! ive been waiting for the next vid. :D
The Astray's beam rifle is not a carry-over from the PG Strike. It's a distinct (but similar) weapon made from a completely different sprue.
OMG IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!! YAY!!!!
Gota love your reviews keep up the good work
Just WOW! Loved the video.
Really hope you somehow get a chance to do a review on that Yamato 1/24 Patlabor Ingram 1. For everyone else its the mecha figure between the two RX-78-2s @ 21:55. Have one myself, and while theres one review out there; it just seems more like a video montage.

@Wizartar: GREAT REVIEW guys! I'm just wondering hOW DID you attached the aile striker at the back of the PG Red Frame. thanks!
Wow, thanks for this awesome review and great work. This is a perfect grade review!
btw. I don't like the 00 raiser because it has no chromed pistons, what a shame for that price.
I LOVE PAINTING THE CLEAR PARTS TOO!
@darktenro Only the Bonus Parts have the extra sword. the normal kit just comes with one Gerbera Straight
@Wizartar I knew it! It's the double thumb that did it. lol!
Great video, thanks for spending the time on it. I'd love to get a PG kit, do you still recommend the Strike as a good first PG?
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 This comes with the 1/60 Perfect Grade Skygrasper
@silvias13ftw It's basically a 1/144 HG blown up to super size.
you made me laugh my ass of with the intro xD
Glad to see you didn't Quit Reviewing stuff =) 5*
RED DWARF cool on that last part
goddamn that was epic.....
great job guys!!
@chappi1065 I've spent countless hours searching, no luck yet. There's an ebayer that sells a resin copy, but beware, there might be quality issues here.

@silvias13ftw No, more like a 1/144 scale made very big. It's got little articulation and detail... but it's BIG!
@vietsoldier01 It's the Perfect Grade RX-78-2
@rahnshen Painting the eyes with clear green will go a long way to fix the problem
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 You only get one of the sword with the Red Frame, the clear parts includes the other sword. At this point getting the clear parts could be difficult, ebay would be the first place I'd look.
how do you clean ur nub marks exactly? all ur kits look so bloody clean! any advice or techniques?
@bigdonkey14 Most places like HLJ, Amiami and some times Hobbysearch. Haven't found anyone in Europe that has better value then just doing direct to Japan with SAL shipping, takes about 2 weeks to get.
@drakozero8 For me the best PG is the MK-II, but the most poseible I've built is the Red Frame. Ratings: 1. MK-II, 2. RX-78-2, 3. Red Frame.

Ohmy did I see a Gamlin 22S in the background there? I think I did!
I look at this and all I can think is "Ohhhhh all that line art.....ooooooo" :D
9:33 the katana sheath is supposed to be placed upside down
Great video guys I have this and the PG unicorn to build but now I want to buy the rx-78-2 pg
Oh geez. Prime92's voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me.
@slashzaku15 No paint required. The two here haven't been painted
I always just assumed it was a result of voice modulation to raise the pitch.
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 just type in perfect grade red frame, and you should find them. Keep in mind this is only for the clear parts and not the kit itself.
@LordBazaar Macross Frontier VF-25S Ozma 1/72 model kit
the kamen rider w thing just made me happy
Please help, im very confused
nice show!!
i have a feeling 2old4toys is gonna get the PG strike freedom
@MGRedFAstrayMBFP02 Nope, those are the places I'd check. Knowing Bandai they could do a re-issue in the future as a con exclusive, the those might show up ebay. For the time being I think you're out of luck.
@Wizartar is that maybe a porably yes or probably no? :)
Love the fists w/eyes XD.
yay prime 92
Well you review the XS-13 now!?
To think now there's a PG Strike Freedom to be released soon.
it is gonna be about how to build and get the items you need
Blue and Gold frames are my favorite I also like amatsu gold frame
What is a good first pg to get i am thinking about getting the astray but I don't know
very cool video
stryderprimes pronunciation of dendrobium is dendorborium
Does PG Red Frame come with that Action Base he's on during the later half of the review?
what song was that in the beginning the Japanese one
