It would be great to see some of your personal collections some time. I miss seeing your pretty old house and grounds.
I love that sometimes you just stop to admire some things even if you have no intention of buying it.
Jocelyn for the perfect boiled egg every time, put eggs in pan cover with cold water, add about 1/4 tbs of salt. Bring to a rolling boil, put your lid on the eggs. Turn off, let stand for 20 min. Peel and enjoy! Never overcooked, never undercooked.
The little silver cup with the bear on it, comes with the sippy cap on it. I remember them from when my children were little.
I said the same thing! It’s Towle Silver!
That Olympia beer stein is vintage from a brewery in Washington state that was in business in Tumwater Washington from the 1890’s to 2003. George might like that stein.
I remember the commercial when I was a kid!
I have a sippie cup like that with a plastic top. It was mine when I was little. I’m 59.
I have often found it’s better to shop mid to late afternoon at the thrift store. I know lots of people who want to get there when it opens…. But when I’m there mid to late afternoon I’m always seeing new carts being brought out🤷🏻♀️
To each there own 😉
The live with you 4 ladies last night was so fun! You guys were hilarious and deserved a fun night to unwind thanks for taking us along!🥰
Totally agree!
Snakes eating snake tails (either their own or a chain) = Ouroboros - constant life and rebirth as a sign of infinity. ❤
OMG! Those 3 avocado green canisters that were bundled together! I had that exact set when I was first married in (yikes!) 1968! Mine had a fourth piece: a 2nd tall canister for Sugar! 😱🤯
a hint on removing tape a drop of baby oil in warm water and leave to soak I used to run a charity shop in the UK thanks Merilyn
The art glass box with the dragonfly on it is JDevlin Glass (I believe) and worth probably $35-40. So beautiful! 😍
Best way to end my night
Me too!
And me!
7:03, refinish? I love it just the way it is. Anything with crevices is a nightmare.
Hi. Considering how old that saucer that was made in Germany US zone i would of picked it up. It is least 78 years old. And amazing it still intact even without the cup.
I love your quiet sneaky voice..."do you see what I see?"
It makes me giggle every time. 😂😂
+03:22 The Olympia stein is actually vintage as the Olympia Brewing Company stopped production in 2003. We used to enjoy 'Happy Hour' at Falls Terrace in Olympia Washington, which looked right out on the Olympia Brewing Company. "It's the Water" was their famous slogan.
My daughter used to work at a Goodwill. She said the best time is Wednesday mornings. This is when they mark everything down because they clean out the stockroom.
Olympia beer was brewed in Tumwater Washington and closed in 2003. That mug could be worth a few dollars !
Typically steins are a specific niche. IMHO 😅 they don't sell well 😢
I totally agree with you, I also don't think it makes a bit of difference when you venture there. Early or Late in the day I know I always find all sort of treasures. Kind of taking a break, I need to organize and take stock of what I have I don't have a "death room" as you pointed out, maybe a few full baskets though...
I too recognized the baby’s cup as sterling silver (it needed polishing) Sweet memories!💕
Watched you four ladies on the live, really enjoyed it 👍🏻
I couldn't stop smiling 😅
Hello! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
I find it so strange that your vintage planters didn’t sell this year. I absolutely love vintage planters & with over 50 houseplants in my home, I am always on the hunt for them. 😊
I love the Kitsch planters with the adorable faces! We don't see them much in New Zealand.
I see them all the time in East Tennessee ❤
I know I love that planter. I would love to have it.
I sell them well in my booth!
I like the plastic sheeting on the black metal shelves 🖤
Unfortunately, those plastic things are quite expensive.
Loved the celtic knot piece!
For perfect hard boiled eggs, put eggs in hot water from tap, bring to boil, then cover, turn off fire and let set , covered for 20 minutes. Add a teaspoon of white vinegar before boiling, Eggs will peel easier when cool.
The woven round boho purse looks like a Talulah. If so, it retailed for about $150. It's hard to tell because they don't have a tag inside. They come with a branded dust bag. A clue would be a genuine leather strap and snap closure. I have one that looks nearly identical and I always get compliments when I wear it. Even non-branded, I think it's a great score. Hopefully your mom loves it!
I think the wooden cup is a traditional Finnish drinking vessel. I love it!
I loved the wooden "bird" but I thought it looked like the Loch Ness Monster LOL!!!
Or a Viking ship 😂
I believe that those white shades are 70s and were used on the floor to ceiling tension pole lamps.
The milk glass covered dish was made for stick candles. Drop candies were in the lower bowl shaped lidded dishes.
Basset was a good midpriced furniture company. They moved production to China in the 90s. Mid Mod is more traditional than other companies. They tried, but they just didn't understand the modern concept that well.
❤❤❤
Basset is still open. I think you can order new handles.
Been waiting all day!
The first figurine you picked up was FANTASTIC
Glad the fixed the shelves there. You had good finds today. 🙂
Great shopping video. Enjoy all of your videos.
The "lonely saucer" was made by Alboth & Kaiser (AL-KA in the mark), a company that was founded in 1872. Today, it's called Kaiser and belongs to Goebel. That mark was used from 1926-1953, but the US Zone mark dates it to 1945-1949. Shame that the cup wasn't there. ☕
If you have an instant pot you can hard boil eggs in that. Super easy!!
I love the owls. Watching from Pekin, IL
OMG...that bl and green flower platter,😮😮
Love your videos
Loved the Bassett dresser! I'm sure someone will buy it!❤
I love that you operate best without a plan. The universe always knows ❤❤❤
Great finds at the Goodwill. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy and Have a Wonderful Day
Good catch on the Jim Shore eggs.🤗
Some, but not all repro of depression pink take on an orange tint to the pink. Dead give away it’s reproduced. The other give away is the change in the crispness of the engraving in the glass.
I got home late last night and was so bummed I didn’t get to watch you and your friends Live but I did watch it today and I really love the Live shows! It was funny what you said about the kitty cardboard figures. Lol!
I think this getting there on opening is paying off! ❤
My favorite thrift store seems to put clothes out early, and the fun stuff later in the day.
The Jim Shore eggs look really cute, even when it’s not Easter.🤩
I feel like that little bear up was made for me lol. I'm a Caitlin with an Uncle Kevin. I'd go snatch it up if I lived nearby
Good morning Joselyn, love to hear you speak Spanish,,..God bless you and your loved ones ❤
Congratulations to you got beautiful 70's 3 sets in flour, coffee and tea tins that awesome!!!😉👌👍❤️
Lots of great stuff
Some really cute stuff. That round purse from the first store was so cute. Store # 2 was better. All the bunnies/ easter stuff was fun, loved it all. That snake eating snake was Celtic knots not sure what they mean but that's what was. Loved it, so cute. Anyway great trip.❤
I collect matte white floraline pieces.. Gorgeous in a black cabinet. Some are super expensive on Ebay.
14:56 there is a turkey on the back of the shelf and also a pear. Love those!!!
You’re my all time favorite ❤️
I love your videos ❤
We had a couple of those Towle silver sippy cups. They actually came with the plastic lid!
You’re amazing and I love your hair
Oh my gosh! I had those cannisters!😂
The plastic lid on that little silver plated sippy cup is original to the cup, believe it or not.
Yes, one of my children had one.
Love the video ❤❤❤
I love boxes, glass or wood, and trinkets boxes.
The little silver cup with plastic lid comes that way. My daughter got one as a baby😊
The boxer bookend for the dog sale!!❤
I learned on RUclips how to cook eggs. Boil the water and put a lid on them. Turn the heat off and let them sit for 15 minutes.
I had those canisters plus a sugar in the early 70s, I still have one of the short one😮
Omg, you just popped up on my feed!!!! I have not seen your videos in weeks. I miss going shopping with you and learning so much! I have wanted to tell you about a little shop done the street from me. A young lady opened up a resale shop from merch that she has gotten from estate sales, garage sales, ect. Ect. Her prices are crazy low as well!
Sushi yum!!! I’ve always felt I miss out by never getting to Goodwill early. I won’t worry so much any more. 👍 Vintage orange canister 70’s for sure. Orange a hot color in the 70’s and green. Ugh!
The yellow planter would be nice at your house with the yellow table.
i collect dragon ware and I prefer to unmatched plates at meals so I would have loved both the cup and the rice plate. Just a thought
Love the eggs
That flat piece with the gold circle carved inlay i believe is called a Celtic knot design/pattern.
My mom had those avacado green canisters in the 60’s or 70’s. S many memories
The pink cookie jar old unless on line but the color looks right. Used to collect depression glass. Have a lot of it.
Hi honey..a tip from a thrift store junkie..PUT A BLANKET AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CART. I would do a light weight one so you could wrap breakable. Love you site.
That large wood piece was a pipe holder. The tobacco goes in the middle
The charming tales boxes at the beginning - if I get them cheap enough, they always sell. You don’t make a lot, but it’s some thing.
Bassett is a very good furniture maker.
That rice pattern plate looks like it was from the seventies. I have that dinner set from then.
If you get back there soon ish the Olympia beer mug is old. They have been closed for years now. I would love that mug and so would many others!
I love milk glass!!
Gma Kathy here: love yall🎉🎉❤❤❤
Nice finds
Olympia beer mug is probably vintage. It was a beer made in Washington state, near our capital, Olympia.
I would have love that plate for my plate wall I’m getting ready to put up.
The shape of the wooden bird bowl reminds me of a traditional Norwegian ale bowl.
That was fun thanks California
I think the black shelves make it harder to see the items especially darker items they stand out on the white shelves more.
What is that creature!…my thoughts exactly. Chuckled on that one. Was it a hippo?
El taco libre means free taco and I is leaving homage to wrestling in Mexico
Looks like the milkglass basket at 17.58 has a crack in the handle😮
Today it seemed like a video of what good pieces are chipped at the Goodwill today🫣
Also I love your nails and that reminded of way back when people would bitch about your nail polish being chipped🙄
Enjoyed the live last night. Jim Shore eggs were pretty. Too bad the bunny was broken
The Olympia beer stein is vintage, they no longer make that beer
Should pick up those Olympia it's a Washington local brewery that has been out of business for a while
I wonder if you could put a fake light under those vintage lampshades and use them that way. They were a cool shape. Too bad about those rose dishes were chipped. So pretty. And I loved the creamy Hauger bowl. I would have thought for Fall you could have sold that in your booth as many people love to collect that look. It was a great shape. I’m sure someone will rescue it. Always fun seeing what you find even if you don’t buy.
I absolutely loved that Cream Hager Bowl.
The "snakes eating snakes" looks like a Celtic design.
